This is just what I have come to expect from 2002 through the years, and they have never, ever disappointed me. I own close to 30 X-Mas discs and none of the others measure up to this one. If you're a fan of 2002 and don't have this one, what are you waiting for? Place your order now! Even people who aren't fans will stop you and ask you "Who is that?" when they hear it. This isn't music for a christmas party, but if you have that ear for great music, add this to your collection.

Great CD, once again. Xmas songs are themselves full of cosy atmosphere but 2002 version of some of those melodies is definitely something more than that since what they realized can be listened during the whole year and not only at Xmas time. On the other hand, their melodies are perfect for a Xmas celebration.

How refreshing to have a Christmas CD that is easy to listen to from beginning to end. By redoing classic Christmas songs in a soothing way makes the holiday less stressfull. It's also nice to use as background music when entertaining family or guests. Kuddos to 2002!

great cd, if you like enya, you'll definataly like river of stars band, the music just flows smoothly. although the whole cd is good, u gotta here the last song.

A perfect backdrop for a relaxing bubble bath, massage or just to want to unwind from a stressful workday. It's also very soothing for people in the hospital who want to hear peaceful and hopeful music during a time of pain and suffering.

Soft Slow Music for the busy mind. Turn off the TV, the Lights and turn on a Peace filled Experience Of Bliss and Calm. This was my first and I have 3 of their CD's Now. I must admit the music is similar on all their Cd's but having a few won't hurt. Espically if you do not have an mp3 player and want one in your car too. Makes Rush Time in Trafic less stressful and we all need that. Buy one for your grumpy Boss and tell him to listen to it on his lunch hour :>) Maybe he/she will come back smiling. ~~It sure puts babies to sleep~~ and My Dogs too!

The best kind of New Age Music is in this cd it is just beautiful.

The more I listen to 2002, the more I love their music. Every CD is worth buying. Their melodies appeal to the trained listener as well as to the untrained one. This is probably one of the most beautiful music I ever listened to. I enjoy every minute of it.

This is the music of tranquility. If you have a decent stereo you hear the whispering winds in the background and the harps and chimes coming from all around the room.
I was just introduced to 2002 two months ago and I am getting the whole library. This is the same music massage therapists use to relax their patients before a massage. Just beautiful.

This CD contains some of the most relaxing and beautiful music I've heard...2002 really produces a wonderful listening experience. Also, 2002's "River of Stars" is terrific. I highly recommend both CD's.

This is an awesome CD. I am a huge 2002 fan and this CD is one of their best. If you love new age music...you will love this CD.

When I first listened to this fabulous assortment of music, I was really touched. I myself, read reviews saying how wonderful, serene and peaceful this music was, and how wonderful it made them feel, so I purchased it. I can truly say whithout any hesitation, that it is truly a work of art and I find it very relaxing to have it in my car and heard while driving, to keep me relaxed and focused in a calm state. I thank the authors of this wonderful assortment for thier accumulation of peace in the gentle sounds of music! Bravo and please keep up the great work.. It does have a celtic feel in a peaceful and calming way, and I would highly recommend it to all who search for that sound.

This is a more meditative entry from 2002. Now, I own only two of their albums "This moment now" and "land of forever" so I'm not an expert on their music but this is much a background piece than the two albums I already own. Very nice, though.

All 2002 records are great! This one is no exception!

This is a collection of some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard. It is wonderfully transporting. I have been recommending this CD to everyone since I first heard it.

I found this CD very unique in many respects. Its composition and choice of musical instruments lends its self in a class of its own! Very relaxing indeed.

this cd is so relaxing that it put me to sleep the first time i heard it. The music is relaxing that it takes your mind off of stuff. And it's good music to listen to if you read and listen to classical music like i do. Trust me it works. the best song on this cd is. The Ocean Dreams.

If you like New Age music, you have to pick up some 2002. Across an Ocean of Dreams is a great place to start. Also great are some of their other titles which I own in addition to Across an Ocean of Dreams called River of Stars, Chrysalis, This Moment Now, and Land of Forever. Get some or all of the albums I mentioned. Trust me, they are worth it.

Chrysalis is a much calmer more evenly executed offering from 2002. There are no vocals, which makes it perfect for meditation, Reiki, and even yoga class. Love this departure from their others in my collection.

I have bought this CD four times because I am so impressed with it. It is the first CD that the music actually touched me to a depth that it brought tears to my eyes. The soft melodies sooth the heart and soul. I bought it four times because everytime I wear it out listening to it, as I fall asleep at night.

I stumbled across this CD quite by accident in a 'Natural Wonders' store several years ago. I was intrigued by the cover art as well as the brief desrtiption of the music as "hauntingly beautiful" and bought it.

That chance encounter-which could have happened later as the genre of this music appeals to me, turned into one of those rare and great musical treasure discoveries.

Unlike some music which has to be heard repeatedy for the listener to attain common ground with the artist(s), 'Chrysalis' draws one majically from the very first playing into a mystical experience that transcends the earthly realm to a level of serenety, joy, and at times melancholy that is at its very least beautiful, and at its best a rare masterpiece.

Like all great albums, the whole is a theme of individual tracks that weave consistently from one to the next, and there are no weak songs. At the end, you wonder where the time went and are wanting for the experience to never end.

Interestingly, it was a couple of years before I searched out their other works, and found them to be equally worthy.

Following the timeline of 2002's works is like watching something very mystical, rare, and beautiful come of age. Each album has a coherent theme,(this one the metaphor of metamorphasis of caterpillar to butterfly-say that 3 times!) and usually a myth or ancient legend behind it as inspiration-which reveals that there is an intellectual depth behind the music that on the surface is quite pleasing to the unsophisticated ear, but at the same time- for the disciplined and discerning listener each time listening reveals deeper layers of elegance and beauty that is obviously the product of gift, discipline, and mostly a lot of hard work.

All great creators-whether musical, artistic, or literary- are inspired by the majestic, profound, and sometimes deeply sad mysteries of this journey we call life, and as each uses their chosen medium to fulfill their endless need to create-whether as a medium to convey their deepest feelings to others, or simply for the release of the life energy within, they leave great works that awe and inspire others long after their time on earth is done. 2002 is worthy of that billing. I highly reccomend their work.

I first heard a song from this album on a cable TV audio channel. It was my introduction to 2002. I quickly wrote down the information about the song, which was glorious, and later found it at Amazon. I can say wholeheartedly that this album is one of my favorites. I was really lucky to hear it on that TV channel. It opened my eyes to the world of 2002. Now I own Land of Forever, This Moment Now, River of Stars, Chrysalis, and Across an Ocean of Dreams. Do yourself a favor, lovers of New Age music, get all of the 2002 you can, starting with this album.

2002 is a group that is hard to go wrong with. I own Chrysalis, Across an Ocean of Dreams, River of Stars, Land of Forever, and This Moment Now. I do not have a favorite; every album of theirs that I own is equally good and worth buying in my opinion. If you like lullabies, meditational music, and music to relax to, you have found your jackpot. 2002 really helps you unwind. I use it to find my center right before going to sleep almost every night. No complaints here. Thank you 2002, I appreciate your talents!

Celestially calling. Travel the tunnel to the light with protecting angels that will carry you. At the end of the tunnel you emerge into that worm and confortable bright relm. In the listening, it's a journey through the universe.

When my husband and I were preparing for the birth of our son, we enrolled in Bradley Method birth preparation classes. As part of the method, we wanted to find music to use during our relaxation and guided imagery practice. By pure luck (or maybe divine intervention?) I picked up this CD. Together, we practiced our relaxation, massage and meditation to this hauntingly beautiful music. Ultimately, our son was born to this CD - a peaceful and drug-free birth. Even the delivery room nurses loved it! Two years later, we used the CD again when our daughter was born, another easy and peaceful childbirth. We have also used it as a nursery lullaby, to soothe cranky babies in the car, or for US when we want to drift off to our relaxing "happy place". This music is magical - it truly transports us to a calm, peaceful world.

I just love this CD. I don't listen to much of this kind of music but this was the most beautiful music I had ever heard, so I had to have it.

This group has the best cd's and if you want inspiration, this is a must have,one of my favorites.

I love this CD - whenever I want to relax, meditate, or even get work done and hopefully avoid stress, I put this CD on and it is just soothing!

The music of 2002 is truly amazing. If you are already a fan, Deep Still Blue will be the perfect addition to their previous albums. If you are unfamiliar with their music why not start here. You not only get a wonderful CD, but you get a bonus DVD with the most spectacular underwater photography providing a visual backdrop to the music as well as some very interesting extras.
Pamela and Randy Copus are truly gifted musicians and I cannot wait to see what they come up with next!

Deep Still Blue CD and DVD (DVD for Region 1)

Randy and Pamela Copus' masterful juxtaposition of original music with the beautiful underwater photography of Susan Saibara is a must have. The bonus DVD is a surprise treasure and needless to say a welcome addition to my collection of soothing, soulful music. A visual as well as auditory masterpiece.

Note to readers: the reviewer who gave this release two stars is completely incorrect - the DVD is a bonus that's included FREE and complements the music with amazing underwater photography. There is no "CD-only" package. Why people don't read the product description before they buy something and/or review it is a mystery to me. On to my review...

I've been an avid 2002 fan since Savitri, their second record, so I was really excited to hear Deep Still Blue. Fortunately, they once again exceeded my (already high) expectations. In my opinion, this is their best work to date. The entire record is consistent, mature, nuanced, lovingly crafted and expertly produced. I only give five-star reviews to records I can recommend without hesitation, and Deep Still Blue is most definitely worthy of the full five stars.

If you're already a 2002 fan, you'll find an evolution of their signature sound that rewards repeated listening - you'll have this CD in your player for a long time and will enjoy it every time you listen. If you're contemplating Deep Still Blue as your first 2002 album, I can guarantee you'll be back to pick up their earlier works as well. Discovering 2002 is like finding a fantastic restaurant in a quiet corner of your neighborhood; you'll keep going back for more and your friends will thank you for letting them in on the secret.

I like the music of 2002 and when I bought the DVD and CD I should have read the packaging more closely. I thought I was getting actual movement on the DVD rather than a slideshow to their music. Heck... I could have done that myself with photographs I already have. I was kinda' bummed about this. The music is great though. Had I to do it over again, I would have only spent the money on the CD rather than the combo package.

Still Deep Blue ... by 2002
The music is very relaxing and so beautiful...I really enjoy listening to this CD.

I don't know if a bad 2002 album exists. I own 7 of them, and I have no complaints. I would say that Wings is like Chrysalis, and Chrysalis is amazing. Very very calming stuff. Wings is not my favorite 2002 album, but nonetheless, it is great. Check it out.

I've just listened to this album. Heard one tune on a cable muzak station called musicchoice. Sounded good so i ordered the album; and since the sound bites from the others sounded so good, i got those too.THIS IS AMAZING STUFF!!. ...smooth, synth relaxing music with a hint of the "angelic" voices where appropriate. Leave all the hip hop and metal ... for the unwashed and braindead masses, this music rules. You will not be disappointed, go buy it. NOW.

2002 has done it again...I am totally hooked on their superb music. There is such a gentleness and calmness about this CD that just let's you "take WINGS" and fly. I am a Massage Therapist and I have clients that request now that I play this CD...it seems to let them take a deep breath, close their eyes and go to a place of peace and calmness. I highly recommend this CD.

The first time I heard this CD. I thought I died and went to heaven. I felt a profound healing and nurtering taking place. There is something more about this heavenly music that opens the door to your heart. And it gently wispers devine love. Everytime I listen to it I am asured of something wonderfull and magical.

The re-release of 2002's previous works (Wings and Savitri) by the RealMusic label are welcome additions for 2002 fans. The opening track (Once in Ancient Greece) is a gentle melodic invitation to a relaxing journey through time and space. 2002's trademark ethereal sound is best exemplified by the second track (A Year and A Day). Wings and Feathers (Tracks 7 and 8, respectively) also conjure that other-wordly, almost heavenly quality that defines 2002's music. My only criticism is Track 4 (Icarus), which sounds more like church organ music. Not that there is anything objectionable about church organ music, but Icarus interrupts the flow of an otherwise relaxing and enjoyable CD.

For years now Real Music Records has put out several CDs in the 2002 series. This, 'The Sacred Well', contains the "best" tracks from prior albums such as 'River Of Stars', 'Land Of Forever', 'Across An Ocean of Dreams', 'Chrysalis', 'Freedom To Love', and two new songs (the opener and closer) written specifically for this album. I usually prefer my music with more of an upbeat tempo but I find this perfect to unwind to after a stressful day. And while these instrumentals are ideal for meditation, yoga or relaxation, they often provide an uplifting sound to successfully soothe the spirit, no matter what your doing, with beautiful compositions that are as magical as the dreamy song titles make them out to be (in other words they're not at all boring or dull). If you choose to immerse yourself in these warm pieces filled with delicate strings, piano, acoustic guitar, flutes, harps, and the occasional light, airy vocals, you will not be disappointed. Life can sometimes be hectic and unpredictable so go ahead and put time aside to slow things down a bit...

My guess is if you enjoy the likes of Enya, you'll love this as well.

this is a wonderful introduction to the music of Pamela & Randy Copus, the duo otherwise known as 2002. if you're unfamiliar with their work, this is a great way to start. For fans who are familiar with their music, perhaps just an addition to the collection. Pam's lovely flute and Randy's fine work can also be found on Kevin Kern's newest CD, The Winding Path. It is just lovely. Hopefully they'll collaborate on other music in the future. Thank you.

"The Sacred Well" is a "best of" collection with eight selections from four of 2002's previous albums as well as two new tracks and two from recent Real Music compilations. As with their earlier releases, the music is sweet, optimistic, and expertly crafted. For this reviewer, it is also a little like cotton candy - very enjoyable, but there isn't much substance. As a gentle backdrop for other activities or for music to relax with, it doesn't get any smoother than this. If you are not familiar with 2002, this is a great starter. Some of the tracks border on ambient or space music, but all are also melodic. Guitars, flutes, keyboards, and wordless vocals give 2002 a distinctive sound that is fairly definitive of new age music: soothing, uplifting, and very pretty. The two new tracks, "Stardust" and "Full Circle" are lovely, but no new ground is broken, indicating that the duo has hit on a formula that is working for them, and will most likely continue along the same lines.

I'm already a 2002 fan and definitely snapped this one up when I saw it! I do agree however with a previous review, no songs from Wings nor Savitri were included. Savitri is my absolute favorite, I highly recommend that CD to anyone! It still is however a beautifully well done masterpiece. There's no better way to escape from reality..relax to sleep..or just find some peace in this world than to listen to any one of 2002's CD's I reccommend this to anyone who needs some peace and beauty in their lives :o)

This album is said to be a collection of the "best" music of 2002, though how the record company could make such a choice is a puzzle to me. After being smitten by their earlier album, Across an Ocean of Dreams, I eagarly snapped up this one as well, only to discover that none of the tracks on their first two albums, Wings and Savitri, are here. Are they implying that I should never buy those albums? Instead, we have four new tracks, two that were only on samplers, and two that were composed just for the new album. Perhaps 2002 should have composed more music and put them on a totally new album along with these four tracks. I think it would have been better if this album had been titled "A 2002 Anthology" and tracks from their first two albums had been included. I actually like some tracks from the Ocean album better that were NOT put on the "best of" collection. Those of you that have bought all five of the earlier works of 2002 may still enjoy this due to the new tracks, but new fans of this artist must not think they have nothing to gain from getting the older albums. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the ear of the listener, and in the hearts of the 2002 members themselves, no doubt!

I first heard Savitri on XM Radio and i was hooked. I love listening to this CD, it's like it transports you to a magical place and time of sheer beauty.I am ordering more 2002.

I bought this album in 1999 and it was my first exposure to 2002. I listened to a sample in a book store and was instantly hooked. After 5 years of listening, this album remains not only one of my favorite 2002 albums, but one of my favorites of my entire collection. Perfect to relax with, read to, etc., 2002 is a music journey not to be missed.

Follow on the musical journey through a love story that transcends time and space...This CD is absolutely magnificent.. 2002 surely deserves much more recognition in the music world for their contributions! The track 'Descent Into Darkness' is my absolute favorite, it transcends the words I use to describe it. I feel like I'm transported to a far away land... My husband and I greatly enjoy listening to this CD together, it is both romantic and passionate :o) I highly recommend this CD to all, I believe it has something to offer to everyone :o) Enjoy! How typical this album is with all the others 2002 has put together - glad this artist has brought this music to light in this day and age - so relaxing and restful - own all of his music and difficult to decide which CD to play first - keep up the great music.

This is one of the most enchanting musical sagas that engulfs you and transports you to the enchanted time of Savitri. You find yourself lost in the beauty and magic of Savitri. The way the different instruments are woven together gives this creation it's richness and enchantment. Very powerful and moving.
