4 Strings

When I think of Dance, I want to be taken on a journey. Thats exactly what this disc will do. Get ready for a journey with a lot of energy and movin' grooves.

This album still remains, at least for me, the best example of vocal trance music on the market. This is quite a feat seeing it has been out for over three years. Vanessa has a beautiful voice, quite powerful and sometimes haunting. Unfortunately, she has left the 4 Strings. Distinctive beats make this album one of a kind. Everyone I have ever recommended this album to has instantly become hooked, and that is the truth. The lyrics to the songs are incredibly uplifting and positive. Great for when you are in a bad mood and need a little cheering up. I guarantee at least one of the songs will get stuck in your head for at least a week. Plus, it is great for a dance party :) Hope you enjoy!

The album gets better as it moves along even with the hit track at the start. Besides Us is a good layed out trance song, in at about 6 minutes. And a good follow up with Waterfall. The last 8 tracks make the album in my opinion.

I don't know if "Revelation" is available as a single, and therefore, the cost of the album is worth it just for this track. Incredible...gets the blood pumping and the body moving!

I heard "Let It Rain", "Diving", "Take Me Away" a billion times in the past, but like with most trance songs they were on cd's with lots of others. I had no idea who the artist was. I love them and glad to know, but not surprised, that 4 Strings did them all. AWESOME!

Wow, I don't know what to begin with,i'll just put it this way, this would have been a better album that the first one if lead singer Vanessa Van Hermert was doing the whole voucals on this album, it's almost as if she dosen't excist in this album, and i have no idea who is that other female doing voucals and it's not really the same without Vanessa, it's like Iron Maiden without Bruce Dickinson although 2 diffrent types of music, and as far as i know that this band will be having a new singer and once this take place it won't be the same 4 strings i once liked due to the amazing voice of this young lady, music is excellent but you can scence that something is missing , i hope these guys realize it, this lovely sound if Vanessa is the key.

After listening to the first album, "Believe", there can be no mistake made about the hit status of such songs as "Take Me Away", "Revelation" or "Diving". Nevertheless, aside from these three songs, there was not much of anything going on on 4 Strings debut. Frankly, I felt sort of disappointed.... Yet having been convinced that not everyone is perfect, and yes, people CAN improve (their sound, their lyrics, etc.) I decided to give "Turn It Around" a chance....and boy let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed!!! Tracks such as "Turn It Around", the lead-off single, "Come Closer", "Crash and Burn" and "Living a Lie" are instant gems.... While the unbelievable trance quality of "Until You Love Me" (reminds me of Fragma) is just begging to be a future hit-single... Also what I feel makes the entire album edgier and vibrant, much more vibrant than "Believe", is the vast assortment of artists and moods that saturate the album. Despite the fact that "Turn It Around" does not comform to the sounds and rhythms of "Believe", it is nevertheless much wealthier and diverse in style.... something that will keep 4 Strings fans more than just mesmerized. . .

4 String's first album "Believe" has many great moments - well worth the purchase. I have to agree with the other 2 reviews though that this album is rather disappointing. To point out a few worthwhile listens here: "Until You Love Me" recalls the great feel of "Believe", and the single "Turn it Around" is good as well. "Free" is also not bad... You can find "Turn it Around" on collections by Ultra, so I'd recommend buying those before you purchase this album.

First of all, yes this album is not all great. Second yes, the album does not even give you information or the lyrics of the song, and third VANESSA is LEAVING 4 strings! yup you read right, this is very sad and I think that once Vanessa leaves, the 4 strings will be gone for good. TO bad though because they were doing good!

Vanessa is hot as fire!
Singer, dancer, model, choreographer. Her multi-talented skills are Vanessa's main feature. Already at a young age she knew what her drive was. From elementary school she danced her way into the high school of performing & creative arts. After finishing school she spent three years in America, experiencing the American way of dancing.

This period proved to be a valuable lesson as it resulted into performances with the multiplatinum act Alice Deejay. But Vanessa wanted more...and got more. Back home from the US she started taking vocal trainings, improving her singing skills. It paid off as she was chosen to be the singer for 4 Strings, opening a new chapter in her young career. And there is still more to come!

This tune was voted in the Top 5 Dance Trax of 2002 by many mainstream magazines and charts. It is along the same lines as Lasgo - Something (Hold me in your arms).

This song was a total kick a$# song. When I heard it of 93.1 WDRQ I was obsessed with finding out who this song was done by, My friends told me it was done beautifully by 4 Strings... so I went home and tried to find a download of the song Take Me Away but couldn't find one. This song is now my favorite along with 4 Strings new songs Let It Rain, and Diving. Me and my G/F both like this song it means so much to us. Thanxs To 4 Strings.

Since I first heard this song off of Trance Mix USA 3, it got to me. I'm one of the early buyers of the CD single. I bought it back around October. Soon enough, this song was a major club hit. It's even been played on daytime radio. I gotta admit, this is one of my favorites. The CD single has 11 tracks, including remixes by RMB, Dresden & Gabriel, a chillout remix and more. My tastes for the song made me wonder the outcome of it's success. The last time I was an early listener to a song like this when later it would claim the techno nation and even be played on daytime radio was Alice Deejay's "Better Off Alone". I first heard this song in March of 2000. Half a year later, it hit popular masses. Kind of like 4 Strings with "Take Me Away". I give "Take Me Away" a 5 out of 5. End of story.

4 Strings is one of my favorites vocal trance artists. Uplifting, awesome vocals, awesome drumbeats. My favorite tracks here are the Vocal Club, the Chillout Remix (pretty smooth), and of course the Symphony of Strings Remix (which ups the ante on the thumping drumbeats - it sounds like something Above & Beyond would do, only better. Add to that the beautiful vocals and you have yourself a classic!!)

If you liked "Castles in the Sky" and loved Tamia's "Stranger In My House," you'll positively swoon for this one. "Cuz it's simply the most stratospheric girl-thing song -- with one of the catchiest rhythm riffs adjoining -- that I've heard since Madonna's revelatory "Ray of Light." Even better, you can actually hear "Take Me Away" ON THE RADIO in the USA! A-mazing!

Unlike the first album, this album was poor. The female lead vocal was nowhere to be found on this album. I couldn't even stomach listening to this album once!

The song sunrise shows glimpses of earlier brilliance, a couple of other ok tracks but far short of their other 2 albums. Bring back Vanessa! UPDATE: I'M GETTING A BIT USED TO IT NOW SO MAYBE 3 STARS....

The best 4 Strings album to date is "Believe." It came out back in the heyday for trance-pop, back in 2002. That album was among the best vocal trance albums ever, so I will not judge this new CD in comparison to that one. "Main Line" is good in its own right, and it is much better than the sophomore album "Turn it Around." As a matter of fact, I think this trance-pop sound is coming back around as hip-hop is fading out. And while I agree that "Main Line" sounds like it could have been released a few years ago, this is not a bad thing, either, because pop music has definately gone retro. Being a former DJ myself, I have seen many trends come and go, and this CD sounds similar to Ian Van Dahl/Alice Deejay at times. The two tracks sung by Tina Cousins are a nice addition as well. Also, the revamped version of "Take Me Away" sounds better than ever. I found this album to be very enjoyable, and really anyone who is into this type of music should also. Worth every penny.

Outside of 'Curious' sung by Tina Cousins, this album is a dud -- at least by 'Believe' standards. Most songs sound similar with the same beat. The album won't make your ears bleed, but the band should have quit calling itself '4 Strings' after the departure of Vanessa. It is a very different band now, and should not tease 'Believe' fans into thinking another 4 Strings album of simliar quality and vocals is being released. I would buy 'Curious' if it can be purchased separately, but would skip buying this album. If a future reviewer knows where Vanessa ended up, please let me know. The mixers of the group are talented, but Vanessa was the real star.

I liked Sunrise, Desire, Curious, and Take Me Away in this CD and the other tracks were decent and enjoyable. I would have liked more vocal trance. Believe, which I feel was their best, had a more consistent high quality and more vocal trance. If you like 4 Strings, this is still a good CD to get. They make very good rhythms and textures. They seem their best when this skill are used to highlight a vocal.

The two sopranos on this album are incredible. Isola Jones takes Vivaldi to new heights with her Metropolitan operatic flare shining through. Eileen Mager has a deep resonant voice with great sensitivity. These two sopranos give the three tenors a run for their money. There are some rarely recorded arias on this recording. If you are a Vivaldi lover, this album is a must own! Most of the time you hear only the instrumental works of Vivaldi. This is a whole new experience to hear so many of the vocal works on one album. It is truely a delight. I also appreciated the intimate group of string players on the Vivaldi A Due Voce Album. There is some wonderful virtuosic violin playing on this CD. If it is live I only wish I could have been there to hear it in person. Jones and Mager are amazing!

Ok i like happy boy and i have listened to another cd by them and it was really good..as for this one it isn't..

If you are looking for a seemless mix of great songs this isn't the cd for you. I have listen to countless mixes by many different djs in many different genres and this is by far the worst i have ever listened to. The track list is very good, but their mixing skills could use a lot of work..it seems like they just go directly into the next song without any thought at all..for example it will go from a song with lots going on in it sound wise to the begining of a another track just like that..no transition just silence all of a sudden..it is very irritating..and the transition to the last song..drowning - cleveland lounge...that's another story..it goes from house right into a Jungle track..i mean come on..it sounded terrible and the only thing that kept me listening to it was that i like the song..the first time i heard it on Ak1200- mixed live...a couple of years ago...anyways if you really like house then seriously find another cd..this is will definetly go into my closet somewhere
