There is no reason why anyone should ever hear this and not agree that Rock and Roll music has reached the pinnacle of passion in this band. If you do not like this album, you are not metal, never will be, and I curse you. If you have never claimed metal as your own, and you do not like this, then get off my planet. Destroyer represent the human experience in every aspect. Even the most vulgar song here, "Raped", is layered in beautiful metaphors for the exploitation and willing acceptance of a society that condemns the evil that constantly f@%ks it, yet willingly takes it up the a$$. And that isn't even half of the majesty of Cold Steel. Time and again, my stoicism has been cracked to tears by the beauty and the glory of this album. To not own this album is a mortal sin unto thyself. If anyone, even your best friend, ever tells you that this is anything less than amazing, shun them, hit them, and ignore them for the rest of your lives, for they are a fool and a blasphemer.

This is a big improvement on the style that made Phoenix Rising such a stellar effort from this aussie unit. First of all the drums dont have that clicky drum trigger sound that was present in some parts on the last album inits place are thick and heavy rolling drums that make the blood boil. Second, the sound seems a little more cohesive and the thrashier parts definitely shine through in every song. Third, the dual vocal duties are grand as both KK Warslut and S Berserker possess thoroughly wretched rasps as well as some hefty growling that are put to good use on every track. All in all, if you loved the thrashier parts on the last album but were turned off by the drum sound and poor mix then this album will certainly change your mind. A monument in war metal for the new millenium.

This is the best album of 666 : normal, it's a best-of !

There's only hits ! 21 tracks (and not 22 : the last is absent). There is some old songs and some exclusivity. All of them are very very great !

666 is awesome...if you like techno, this is the best..your gonna love it..almost all of the track's are great..

I found this band by accident, and before I heard them, figured them to be some lame band with the typical 666, Hail Satan, evil, etc. band that tried too hard to be evil. I couldn't have been more wrong! You can just feel the malice from this album! Destroyer 666 is among the best metal bands to ever be! Probably my favorite band.

But this album, something that is really rare, is that there are no songs that should be skipped. Usually, even really good bands have some songs that just need to be skipped. Not this one. Go and buy it. Now!

I would rate this is 6 stars if it were possible. This is a phenominal album. It's epic, dark, heavy, and badass! Get this if you are a fan of death/black/thrash metal. It is a perfect blend of these three genres, and manages to not sound like any of the three. It's unlike anything I've ever heard. Every track is 10/10.

I love all of Destroyer 666's awesome fire spewing death/thrash style of metal, but this album is the best since it has so many firey goodies on it!! The best song by far is "Ride The Solar Winds", mainly becuase its about riding the winds directly descended from the sun, a huge firemass that rules supreme, plus its got some unique sinister brimstone riffs all around!!! In the song "Rise Of The Predator" it has the awesome line "The fire, the desire to live", I say right on, fire brings you life brother!! Also in the song "Phoenix Rising" is the awesome line "Oh to be reborn in fire, Oh to reap the reward of power"!! Right on man, these guys realize that fire indeed brings you power!!! This is true fire worshipping at its best, so be a brother of the flame and pick up a copy or three!!!...

When I listen to Pheonix Rising, I can picture in my mind an army of demons storming the gates of heaven. As the final notes of The Birth Of Tragedy play, I envision paradise exterminated. Satan now takes the throne and bangs his head to Destroyer 666. Pheonix Rising is just that damn good all the way through.

The latest offering by D666 is absolutely killer. It conveys the same hate-ridden diabolical spirit as "Unchain the Wolves". This time around, however, Warslut & Co. have added more depth and distinction to the songs, giving each one its own unique feel. Two songs, "I am the Wargod" and "Lone Wolf Winter", even have melodic parts. The lyrics are excellently written and are from a somewhat Nietzschean perspective. A spoken word sample serves as the album's intro and as a manifesto of the misanthropic sentiment that never lets up on this recording. The musicianship is also better than ever. This album is a must for any fan of extreme metal !

This album is realy great. I love 666, and I love this album. All of the tracks are realy great.

Just buy this cd. I bought it in Korea two years ago. When I got back to the states, everyone I played it for loved it. In fact it was so popular that a so called friend stole it. I didn't think I would be able to find it again. No one had even heard of them until I came here. I am going to buy it again. This cd will definately keep you moving. It is also a great backround for a good light show.
