this album is sooo good. ive listened to it over & over again. I would highly recommend it to any1 who likes upbeat songs. Superbe Alex!!

This is a great CD for teenage girls. It covers subjects from relationships to being yourself. You will enjoy listening to it no matter what mood you're in. A great thing about this is that the lyrics pretty much anyone can relate to and Alexz has a good voice. There's 3 songs I haven't heard completely so Im not going to bother in rating them.

1. 24 Hours 8/10: Good song but gets old after you listen to it for too much.

2. Temporary Insanity 8.5/10: Cool song. The lyrics are a bit cliche to me but nice anyway.

3. Waste My Time 7/10: Not the best

4. Let Me Fall 10/10: I never get tired of this one. Conveys strong emotions and its perfect for Alexz's voice.

5. Skin 9/10: Very very good. Deep and you can almost feel the pain she feels.

6. I'm In Love With My Guitar 5/10: Dont have much to say about this one

8. Time To Be Your 21 10/10: I love love the lyrics. Awesome song

11. Pick Up The Pieces 9.5/10: I love when Alexz vocalizes in this song. It sounds perfect. Aesome pop song although the lyrics are extremely corny.

12. Your Eyes 10/10: As you can see I mostly like the ballads hehe. Very romantic song.

13. That Girl 10/10: Great song

I love Instant Star and have been a fan of Alexz Johnson since her So Weird Days. It's good to see that her voice and her has matured for the best. This cd is amazing and i highly recommend it even if you don't watch the show it's still a good cd. Alexz has an amazing voice that radiates every emotion in the song. Every song is amazing so I think it definitely deserves the 5 stars i'm giving it.

I think this cd is ok I like some of the songs on here. I love Instant Star so I was glad that I got her cd.

Alexz Johnson is one of my favorite singers. There's just something about her voice that gets under my skin in a good way. Haunting ballad, upbeat pop songs, whatever type of song, she does it well and that's why I bought this album. That said, like the other reviewers, I was disappointed that only 4 songs were sung by Alexz. I don't dislike Corey Lee, as a matter of fact, I like the sassy edge her voice has, but at the same time she's no Alexz and this CD would've been better if more songs were from Alexz Johnson. Overall, the CD is good though and I don't regret buying it.

I must agree that the songs for this season were amazing. It seems like every year the writing just gets better. However being a huge Alexz Johnson fan I was very disappointed. Besides the four songs she sung the album sounded like a night at a karaoke bar. Great songs with mediocre singers. This soundtrack was really an injustice if you want to hear amazing songs sung by an amazing singer. Download the four songs Alex sung and let the rest go.

This cd was better than I thought it would be. When I found out that Alexz Johnson was not going to be singing all the songs, I had already bought the cd. After listening to it, it does sound a little bit better than I thought it would sound. Now, if only they could make a cd of all Alexz singing, that would be better.

There are 14 songs on this CD, and only 4 are sung by Alex Johnson! This does NOT qualify as a soundtrack because these songs have ben completely changed from how they were on the show.
Also, the description for this says that all songs were originally sung by Alexz, and that's not true. Cory Lee recorded No Shirt No Shoes for her CD, it was never on the show, and Cory Lee's character Karma recorded I Will Be the Flame for the show with a partial duet with Alexz in an episode. Cory also re-recorded Waste My Time which was a song on the FIRST season's soundtrack featuring a rap part. I would have MUCH rather heard Alex's version without the rap part which I had to edit out on my ITunes.
Don't buy this and maybe they won't get away with this for the season 4 soundtrack.

I am such a instant star/ alexz johnson fan that I would have bought the cd if she only sang one song, so I am thankful for the 4 songs she did sing... they were amazing... as for the other 8 songs and artists they are not bad to listen to but they are not captivating like they would have been if alexz sang them how she sang them on the show, my favorite out of that bunch would be "love to burn" sang by Cory Lee, still though I am desperate for a alexz edition... I am disapointed but I do not regret buying the album, I am just hoping they will come out with alexz versions of the songs......

I love the show. I love the first album and this one is great... This one better showcase her vocal style ( in my opinion it sounds like she is going rock) where the first one was more pop. I am an eclectic person so this fits right into my interesting collections.

You don't even have to be a fan of instant star to love this cd. I personally am more into r&b and hip hop and yet I know every word to almost all of her songs.Alexz Johnson is talented and although I don't like the fact that Jude Harrison(the character she plays on the show) is always in a new relationship,that show is great and the soundtrack is better. I love Who am I fooling and natural disaster

THE REASON TO LOVE ISTANT STAR IS BECAUSE THE SHOW IS SO GREAT, BUT THEN THE SONGS WERE JUST AS GOOD, AND SHE DOES IT AGAIN!!

VOLUME 2 IS FANTASTIC ALEXZ'S VOICE MAKES EVERY SONG SOUND GOOD!!

24 hours - great song, very catchy... this one'll stay in your head for awhile :)

Instrumental version - great if your doing some karaoke or a talent show

Criminal - AMAZING song, the lyrics grab you and Alexz's voice sounds so spectacular in it... I really identified with this song

Great single as a gift to introduce someone to this talented girl, but your better off buying the album and saving some money :).

24 Hours and Criminal are really awsome songs, but you might as well just buy the Instant Star soundtrack!

The first song I every heard this young lady sing is 'White Lines'. To just say WOW is a major understatement. I believe Ms. Johnson is only about 19 years of age. But what a perfectly powerful melodic voice she has. "Talent on loan from God". Ms. Johnson is of course the star of the Canadian TV mega hit "Instant Star". Ms. Johnson plays the character of Jude Harrison who win an American Idol type contest and goes on to record her own albums. The show takes you through all the trials and tribulations of Jude's life after becoming a major rock star. The show also shows you how exhilarating it is for a budding artist to complete their first album, in the first season.

I honestly believe that once Alexz Johnson hits America with her soulful rock stye and, might I add, disarming beauty she will be as big if not bigger than Madonna, The Beatles, etc.
