My[...] is absolutely enthralled with the High School Musical Series, she will sit there entranced every time she watches.

And of course she knows all the words to the songs and loves to dance around while pretending she is on stage. This CD adds to her repetoire and she absolutely loves it.

I have to admit, even though it is not music I would necessarily listen to, it is catchy and I find myself humming some of the tunes.

This is a short review just to say this is all my kids listen too. They are seven and four and know all the words and I'm afraid I'm learning all the words too. No, just kidding, I don't mind. The music is harmless and catchy. I can think of worst things my kids could have an obsession with.

If your kids like the movies, then this collection of music from the films is a must have. It'll make long car rides go by much faster.

I love Amazon's MP3 download service! I was in a pinch and needed some songs to load onto my daughter's MP3 player before a recent trip we took. This is one of the albums I downloaded for her. The download service was easy, quick, and rock solid. As for the album, my six year old loves it! And I love it too since it keeps her entertained for a chunk of time. She just needs to learn to not sing out load while listening to her headphones! Don't get me wrong, it is cute, but other people on the airplane didn't think so after a while...

I bought this cd for my daughter. I am waiting til Christmas to give it to her so I am unsure how to rate it yet!

This is an awesome soundtrack and it was at such a great price. What a great buy!!

I bought this CD to practice for my audition in a local production of HSM. I really only focus on the two ensemble numbers, "Stick to the Status Quo" and "We're All in this Together". All of the songs are sung and played well. The lyrical content is perfect for children. Very small ones can dance to the aforementioned ensemble numbers; older kids can croon along with the ballads. Tweens and teens will love this musical, as it focuses on their generation. For example, in "Stick to the Status Quo", brainiac Martha Cox admits her passion is "hip hop". (You won't find that in the other delightful musical, GREASE!)

Adults probably won't find much substance, but they'll be thankful the songs are inoffensive. If you want G-rated family entertainment, this is the CD for your home!

CD quality as described and promised however it took FOREVER for it to get shipped to me.

I have such a soft spot for musicals -- especially Disney musicals. The Little Mermaid is one of my very favorites -- most of the songs are so catchy I can't help but tap my foot and sing along. After a bad day there's nothing better than turning this puppy on full blast. Every song you remember is here, including the wonderful orchestral score.

The bonus songs are terrifying, however. Whoever thought that the Little Mermaid needed to be put to horrific, half-baked pop/r&b and shrieked by children of dubious talent should probably have large rocks thrown at them. Just a suggestion. However, I chose to ignore them, and I rate this disc by the value of the first disc, whose superior quality easily drowns out the second CD's terrifying contributions.

Anyway, just get this CD and enjoy the delightful croonings of Ariel and co! You won't regret it!

Ive always loved the Little Mermaid and was excited to see this set, but I have to say I was disappointed to hear the Jonas Brothers singing Poor Unfortunate Souls. When Ursula sings this song kids know she's one of the "bad guys" but its a strange message that daughters and their friends get when the hottest boy band out today is singing about girls needing to basically shut up and be pretty to get a man. Stick with the originals and skip disc 2.

I bought this CD mainly for the Jonas Brothers song, "Poor Unfortunate Souls". But the whole CD is excellent & I liked it so much that I played it twice the day I got it!

The CD certainly captures the essence of the film. My daughters enjoy listening to the CD while they are playing and they don't have to be watching tv all the time!

Little Mermaid was the first video I ever owned myself. Loved it from the first day I saw it. I don't hold the same view as I did as a child but it's still a wonderful story. And the music is just plain fun. The best part of this special edition is Ashley Tisdale's rendition of Kiss The Girl. Let me start by saying I have issues about Disney's need to turn every actor into a singer and every singer into an actor and the promote them to the ends of the earth. And it's not so much Ashley Tisdale - though she's very talented - that makes me love this version of the song. Whoever revised the arrangement is who I'd like to really thank. I love every thing about how this version was put together. Upbeat. Fun. Totally "sqeeable". But then I'm a hopeless romantic.

I've always loved Ashley Tisdale so much, and her debut album is fantastic! I had heard her in HSM and her voice was immediately stuck in my head. Among my favorites are "So much for you," "Headstrong," "Love me for me," "Posivity," "Be good to me," "Don't Touch," and "We'll be together."

I like most of the songs, but "He said She said," didn't do it too much for me, and neither did, "Not like that." But, there are few albums where you will like all of the songs. This is a great choice for girls ages 8-14, possibly older.

Its pretty good, but not my favorite. There's not too much of her voice in here, and it is similar to some of her other songs.

I always compare this to "He said she said." I think it shows more vocal talent, and is addictive.

That that good- the vocals don't sound that great.

Sweet and heat-wrenching, but takes some getting used to,

I love this song. Its unique and there is nothing bad about it.

One of my favorites off of this album. You can tell she means it and both the lyrics and tune of the song sound fantastic. Another thing I like -the words make sense.

This also takes some getting used to, but I like it.

I enjoyed listening, but it didn't sound like Tisdale really felt the lyrics, despite the fact that its one of the few songs she co-wrote.
11) Don't Touch (the Zoom song) (10/10)
Another one of my favorites. Love the voice and lyrics! The first few times I listened, I kept repeating it.

You can really hear the emotion under her voice in this one, and for a while, I couldn't not cry!
13) Headstrong (10/10)
This song is terrific, and what I think is the best song on the album, although "Don't Touch" is close second. Extremely catchy.
14) Suddenly (7/10)
Not that great. In one word: Random. In another word: Boring. The whole feel of the song changes a few times, and the tune isn't that great.


Anyway, I think Ashley Tisdale, with the right songs, is much more talented than Vanessa Hudgens. For this age group, I recommend this CD, Avril Lavigne's "The best damn thing," Carrie Underwood's "Carnival Ride." More great choices are Cascada's "Everytime we touch" and A Teen's "Greatest Hits."

The CD had a few minor scratches, but it never skipped. It was like new I would say. The CD case was a little messed up and the front cover of the case was missing. But overall, the CD worked out great.

What a great album! I would recommend this to anyone who likes pop music. It has a lot of catchy beats, and her gorgeous voice complements them well. Every track is something fresh!

If you check out the song called "Not Like That", you'll hear just how full of herself Ashley Tisdale truly is. She sings (not well I might add) about how all the girls are just jealous of her style and how she doesn't care. Well, if you don't care, then why are you singing a poorly written/produced song about it then? How does this Disney garbage even pass as music? I'm so sick of these annoying Disney "stars" who are on the Disney shows and movies and then all of a sudden they have a record deal. How they even get signed is totally beyond me. And it's pretty sad that people on here are giving this 4 or even 5 stars. Seriously America, stop using your eyes and start using your ears. Just because someone is pleasant to look at does not mean they can sing well.

this is a really good album. i didn't know that Ashley tisdale was such a good singer! i hope she makes another album.

THis is not the version that contains the sexual lyrics! If you like the album/video version better, don't buy this. I perfer the other version, but that's me!

If you heard He Said SHe Said (or Be Good to Me)on MTV or the Radio, buy the album, if you heard He Said She Said on Radio Disney, buy this!

i dont actually own this but i can tell u what u'll hear, this is a good intro to Ashley Tisdale. Be Good To Me is probably the best song. He Said She Said is kind of seductive so if yr uncomfortable about this stuff, dont buy it. i personally think they're gd songs!
