CD is very good and I have been using it only in my auto but it has started to skip randomly to different tracks after a song.

I was very pleased with the ease and the timely delivery of this item. I will order from Amazon in the future.

I saw the show in Chicago and loved it. They were selling this same CD in the lobby for $25. I'm glad I resisted and bought it on amazon instead. Great oldies with excellent sound quality.

That Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons songbook is filled with recognizable, melodic and popular harmonies is a well known fact. The art of making a play based on an artists songbook is not new and has met with varying degrees of success, proving one thing, to really play well, there must be written a strong book to go with the music.

In the case of Jersey Boys, the book is excellent. So good, that it elicits in the observer the emotions of a first rate melodrama; laughs, interesting characterizations and yes, a few tears here and there. The playwrights found enough drama in the true (ok, mostly true) story of the "Boys" to use it as their book. It is a fairly typical story of the rise to fame, complete with egos run amok, vanity on parade, jealousies and financial scandal. Another classic story of failures leavened by redemption.

Though the basic storyline is not really new, the performances are strong, so good that you end up caring for each of the main characters. And that is what good stage performances are ultimately about, making you care. Well worth seeing...and listening.

This CD is great! I saw the show in Vegas and it brought me right back to the history of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. "Oh What A Show"!

What can I say that won't be obvious when you listen to Belinda sing? I was prompted to buy this CD right after going to the Regeneration Concert. Shes still got it, awesome vocals and high energy. Get a copy today and listen to it at home or on the road in your car. Great 80s stuff, add it to your collection!

Let me lay my cards on the table right off. I have had a crush on Belinda Carlisle for over 20 years. In my cellar is a vintage bottle of red for the day she finally pays a visit. I fancied her more during her chubby go go's days, but let's not get nostalgic.
A big thumbs down too the people at Mca for this package of so called greatest hits. They missed a few tracks which should have been included, but mostly I'm unimpressed by releasing only 13 tracks. Why not indulge the consumer with 18 or 22 tracks you bloody scabs! Oh and thanks for the "Time Life" style CD cover. You know the type artwork some idiot at a hired graphic art studio hacked together in 25 minutes. This is hardly Belinda's best photo.
Instead of padding the wallets of Mca executives visit your local library and make your own greatest hits CD from their catalog. Rest assured they will have her CD's. Libraries seem to be 2 decades behind the times when it comes to music. So a flood of 80's stuff is most probably available for your consumption.

I just recently saw Belinda Carlisle on Regeneration tour at nTelos Pavilion in Portsmouth, VA. She was great in the concert. She really got the crowd and I loved the songs. The day after the concert I ordered this cd and just like the concert the songs are great!!!! I highly recommend this cd.

It took about a week for it to be shipped to me, and I thought that was pretty good. The price was good also. I would recommend anyone to buy off amazon at anytime.

Back in college, I listened to Aerosmith and Belinda Carlisle more than anything else. She was my nerve-soothing music that I listened to when I needed to unwind, or when I wanted to be relaxed for a test. She has a lot of great material. This CD covers maybe half of it. Get this one, and then look for a few others. My favorite is "Heaven is a Place on Earth". I first heard that on the radio as a kid, and always wondered who sang that awesome song. Now I found her. You can't go wrong with this CD. If you are first getting into her music, this is a great place to start.

... was my reaction to the music, a few numbers into the LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA (when they still were playing the full overture). After performing for some months on a cruise ship - and bearing in mind what is said about how you enjoy your travels even more when you remember them - that's exactly what I said to a companion: it feels like travel.

There's not much to add to the favorable words elsewhere in these pages,but a few thoughts:

I will say that my favorite scores are those that keep growing on me (WEST SIDE STORY as well as THE MUSIC MAN) - and LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA reveals something new at every listening.

Besides evoking that travel experience,PIAZZA comes mighty close to answering Cole Porter's question,'What Is This Thing Called Love?' by contrasting three more experienced, unhappy couples with one pair of 'youngsters' who can't be bothered to ask. This presentation is both classic and quirky - we LIKE quirky. If there are occasional bumps in the lyric-setting, there are also many poetic and provocative insights, here in Craig Lucas' territory.

Over the years I've learned not to spoil my own good time by straining too hard to find that 'catchy' tune. And here's a news flash -
The musical theater hasn't generated any Billboard hits in a very long time (HAIRSPRAY has that old top-40 sound, very clever tunesmithing in fact, but only one of its lyrics is liftable from the story - "I Know Where I've Been"). Barbra Streisand managed to find something like a 'hit' in SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE by opening her Broadway Album with "Putting It Together",which became widely familiar as a result; that, and however many foursquare Lloyd Webber ballads have been sold by concert singers, is about as close as Broadway gets to a hit song anymore.

So the 'no hits' charge is moot, got it? Or one may settle for such as JEKYLL & HYDE, whose composer (Frank "I don't need to worry about plot or character" Wildhorn) knocked himself out to write 'hits' that never got beyond some piano bars and minor cabaret venues. Singable,yes...and empty. Broadway, these days, is so full of 'been there, heard that'.

Have I committed one complete PIAZZA song to memory? So far just one, but so many other beautiful and surprising passages keep rebounding within the brain! If it's not material for my piano bar, so what -- there is always MY FAIR LADY or FOLLIES, CHICAGO or SOUTH PACIFIC for quality singalongs. I'll be very happy if and when someone writes a good new singalong score (David Yazbek might yet pull it off); meanwhile
I'll save "La Passegiata"(edited) for a restaurant...enjoy the bistecca Fiorentina and the pretty melody.

Another important point is to admit (when asking rhetorically what everyone else is raving about), that one may not be quite getting something, and to be careful not to arrive at conclusions before a second hearing, at least (to think that I once recoiled at CANDIDE - now I can't get it out of my head!). Praise to the NY Times' Charles Isherwood for rethinking his opinion of Adam Guettel's score for PIAZZA.


On repeated hearings,LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA exceeds even my delighted first impressions. You may feel differently, but until you've listened at least twice, I can't HEAR you......

This is an unusual story to be made into a musical. Many good musicals from similar sources have just not made it--witness "Cry for Us All" in 1970 and "I Remember Mama" in 1979. And those were from a time when Broadway tended more toward the book musical.
It is also an unusual approach to music. As several others reviews have noted, it is somewhat operatic in style. While there are wonderful musical moments, there are no songs that stand out and have become popular.
Whatever the "unusualities," this is certainly refreshing in the midst of the "Spamalots" and "Spelling Bees."
To appreciate the work initially, it is necessary to follow the libretto, which fortunately is included with the cd. Later, it can be heard as good background music--such as on headsets while taking your walk.
Since I do not have access to Broadway, I am grateful for the "Live from Lincoln Center" television presentation. This has given me a more complete reference for following the plot.
While this is not the number one favorite in my collection of musical recordings, it will certainly remain an important part.

Adam Guettel's "The Light in the Piazza" is a wonderfully refreshing and complex masterpiece that rightly earned the Best Score Nod at the 2005 Tony Awards. Having seen and heard Guettel's earlier "Floyd Collins" I was well acquainted with how innovative his music was.Because "Piazza" is a romantic melodrama with Firenze,Italy as its location, Guettel's music evokes the 1950's Era with grace,elegance and ingenuity.The opening title is a rhapsodic ode to love and the breezes twirling the leaves in the piazza is vividly acute under Guettel's pen.Victoria Clark has the most accomplished and cultured female voice currently on Broadway.Her rendering of 'Dividing Day' is heart-crushingly poignant.Clark's voice is accurate always and true in pitch and vibrato.She blends perfectly with the thinner voiced Kelli O'Hara in the opening.O'Hara's voice is a lighter, less mature sounding coloratura, but is perfect for the part she plays.An outstanding choice to counter balance other Broadway offerings.Clark's new solo cd "Fifteen Seconds of Grace" is highly recommended.

My daughters and I had the good fortune to see this musical shortly before it left Chicago. We love musicals and all agreed that this is one of the best we've seen in many years. Why?
First of all, the story is simple, yet basic to everyone. It's about finding love and embracing it to the greatest extent possible. For Margaret, it's about losing a passion for someone that once existed, but recognizing it's not too late to help your daughter find hers. Most of all, it's about the simplicity of pure love in a complicated world and how it can break down all language, cultural, and even physical barriers to conquer all.
The composers matched characters and emotions perfectly, from Clara's cries from her heart in "The Light in the Piazza" to Fabrizio's love at first site in "Love to Me". How can you not love the beginning lyrics in "Love to Me"? ("The day we meet. The way you lean against the wind, and do not know that you are beautiful.)
Or Margaret's lament in the reprise to "The Beauty Is". The lyric ("If I could, then I would paint it over. I would be there and I wouldn't turn away. If I only had a chance to not turn away... and the beauty is, and the beauty is, the beauty is.")is a statement about everyone's life and the decisions they make and regret.
"Say it Somehow" is one of the most beautiful songs about the fact that love transcends language and cultural barriers.
One reviewer missed the entire point of Clara's tirade scene. Her passion to protect her love is just that, pure passion, not checked by proprieties. It is a reaction that is understood in all languages, a reaction from the heart to someone who is posing as a threat to take her love away from her. We should all be so passionate when our love is threatened.
Thank you Adam Guettel for a show and album that we will enjoy for the rest of our lives. We need more musicals like this one. I am sure that it will endure the test of time. It is a universal story of love coupled with music for the soul.

The only thing more sleep inducing than this cast album is sitting through the actual show. The music is very pretty but too similar and will lull you into a deep coma!

This lady has one great voice. She can certainly sell a song. My only reservation about her is that she's a bit cocky. I think she could use some humility.

and hip-hop, heard me playing this disc and begged me to buy her
one........and I did, and she plays it all the time, and to her

almost all of the giants of american song, garland, streisand,

"broadway, my way" linda eder cements her place as the best of the best. from an anthem like "i am what i am" to the lovely
"on the street where you live" captures you body and soul.

A great selection of songs. Tremendous amount of energy in Linda's voice. I just love it.

Wow! Linda Eder has an outstanding voice. She sells Broadway in the styles of Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand. After hearing this you will want more.

It's the best. The quality of the recording, the completeness. I don't like to listen to it casually when I am doing something else; it is so involving, I like to give it my full attention.

If there's an earlier 'Peer Gynt' recording that's complete (as opposed to just the 'suite') I've never heard of it. This is the entire incidental music to the play, not just the usual 'Dawn', 'The Hall of the Mountain King' 'Solveig's Song', etc.
Jarvi's reading is smooth and incisive and the choral parts are wonderful. I've never heard a scarier version of HOTMK. I never even knew that there was a solo vocal part for Peer himself, but here it is.

My only complaint-and it's a tiny one-is that the selections are not in the order that they would appear in Ibsen's play. But that's picking a very small nit indeed.

Conductor Paavo Jarvi does a masterful job of leading the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra plays with great emotion and precision creating an exciting and almost hypnotic effect. Although Beecham's version is very good, his Peer Gynt does not come close to matching the sheer beauty of Jarvi's.
The soloists on this album are outstanding. I consider baritone Peter Mattei to be the most talented baritone of his type today and his rendition of Peer Gynt's Serenade is nothing short of incredible. Soprano Camilla Tilling as Soveig has a lovely ethereal sound to her voice which is used to great effect in her songs. Tilling has the loveliest female voice I have ever heard. Mezzo Charlotte Hellekant has also grown on me as Anitra. Many of these vocal songs are not included on other versions of Peer Gynt, which is a great shame. The choir, something I don't usually enjoy, is very impressive.
I would rate this CD as by far the best version of Peer Gynt and perhaps my favorite CD of all time. The sound quality of the recording should also be mentioned because it is absolutely stunning.

I don't find that Paavo Jarvi and his Estonian forces have much to say in the familiar numbers from Peer Gynt. You must turn to Beecham for sheer delight in famous numbers like In The Hall of the Moutain King, Morning, Anitra's Dance, and so on. Where this recording scores is in the unfamiliar numbers; Peter Matteo's excellent rendition of the little-known Peer Gynt's Serenade is one highlight, as is the convincingly crude folk fiddling that begins half a dozen numbers.

Secondly, there's the sound. The engineers have achieved quite exceptinally clear, open sonics that I've never heard the like of in Peer Gynt. Even when Jarvi's conducting is ordinary and his Estonian musician ae playing at far less than virtuosic level, the gorgeous sounds coming out of one's speakers remain alluring. As far as completeness goes, the Ruud 2-CD set from Bis is unchallenged.

The story line gives the listener a guide to follow the music, but the score leaves out the connections for the listener to only imagine the performance. The music is passionate and descriptive and introduces the listener to the singing voices of parts of the presentation that are left out in the "Suite." I appreciate hearing it over and over.

There are religious texts set to music for choir and orchestra that outrank Jenkins's "Stabat Mater", but for moments of orchestral and choral effectiveness, the Jenkins is most commendable. It is always listenable and often moving. There is a sameness to the listening experience as the music evolves... Jenkins seems more intent of creating an effect than in giving this ancient poem a new reading or a new life. I do admire the work, however, and would pay well to hear it in live concert should that opportunity arise. In the meantime, this recording a good value for the dollar.

I'm listening to this right now on XM Vox. It's powerful. It's a delight.

Just the title of this CD, THE BLACK MADONNA Pilgrim Songs from the Monastery of Montserrat (1400-1420) is timely, given the current interest in Gnostic scriptures, Mary Magdalene, the Cathars and the Knights Templar.

The image of Montserrat's particular Black Madonna is believed by some to be a hidden representation of Mary Magdalene, who is supposed to have fled to (what we now call) France, where she bore the child of her husband/lover Jesus. A few people (myself included) have formulated a connection between the ancient Egyptian Mother Goddess Isis, the Gnostic Sophia, the Christian Virgin Mary, and (also Gnostic) Mary Magdalene. According to the Isis theory, the esoteric color of The Goddess was black because it represented the mystical mound (pyramid) of Egypt and the spiritual center of the world. The metaphysical connection between Isis and the Virgin Mary (in her form as The Holy Mother) has been commented upon at great length and detail by many people.

The CD includes an informative booklet that mentions the fact that the Monastery was built over what used to be a Temple of Venus. Venus is a form of Isis in her role as Hathor, goddess of love, music & dancing. There is also a connection to Mary Magdalene, the alleged prostitute--and temple prostitution was a common practice during the Pagan era. It's interesting that music & dancing continued to be associated with this historically rich site.

This music on this CD is wonderful, performed by the equally wonderful Ensemble Unicorn. I've just become musically acquianted with this company and have obviously become an enthusiastic fan.

The booklet informs us that these and other sacred & quasi-religious songs were collected by King Alfonso X el Sabio in the hybrid language Galego, a fusion of Galician and Portuquese. The monarch included some of his own tunes as well. This 12 selection CD is a sampler of about the 400 various sings & dances collected--and never fear, the booklet translates the songs.

For people familiar with the CARMINA BURANA by Carl Orf, the subject and overall sound of the music are very similiar. As a matter of fact, Ensemble Unicorn has their own version of CARMINA BURANA that I prefer over Orf's work. To be fair, it makes a big difference who directs & performs Orf's BURANA. It is open to a wide range of interpretation.

This BLACK MADONNA is a masterpiece performed by masters of the genre. In the opening and other sections, the music is so accessible that it has a "New Age" or very contemporary feel. The songs are joyous celebrations of The Holy Mother & the pilgrims love for her & belief that though her intercession with Christ she can grant hope for the hopeless and perform miracles to help people in the daily struggle for existence. The material also celebrates the pleasure of every day living. There is a pagan quality both in the prayers and the composition of the sometimes stately, sometimes rambunctious, percussion.

The vocals are fantastic.

As a side note, this type of music & dance probably did represent residual memories from the pagan past & the Church couldn't have prevented its continued appreciation by the people even if it tried to do so. As time went on, however, the music played in church became ever more elaborate, highly orchestrated productions. It reached a point where you had to wonder if people went to church out of religious conviction or just to hear a good concert and/or dance a jolly jig. When musical performers & instruments began to take up more space than parishoners, The Church finally intervened & put a stop to the practice, particularly secular performances.

I've often thought that music appreciation and history should be combined in a sort of mega-class that would extend from kindergarten through university even beyond. This particular CD would demonstrate the universal, fun-loving quality of people thoughout the ages--and their simple piety. Music was a source of strength & renewal for them, as it still is for us today.

Oh yes--check out the price for this gem! It's more than fair, considering the CD's content & production values, it's almost a freebie.

Codex Faenza: Instrumental Music of the Early 15th Century

This is flatly the best early music recording I have ever encountered. The strength and musicality of the performance is unmatched anywhere else; Ensemble Unicorn introduced me to the notion of following an ensemble's discography rather than pursuing recordings of particular compositions.

Hard to believe we can buy this precious gem for under $10 -- and what a gem it is! Easily my favourite medieval music CD. This isn't museum music, or a cerebral esoteric dip into European medieval cultures. This music leaps out and grabs you -- recalling images of everything from the still smile of a 13th-century Madonna to the chaos of Breugel and Bosch. Belinda Sykes' voice is alive with earth, grit, heat, and a transcendent beauty that needs to be experienced to be believed. The musicians are magicians: they'll have you dancing, singing, praying -- getting your bare feet soiled in the hot holy dust of a pilgrim's trail: enjoy!

Not sure what I was expecting, but this is a very refreshing collection. Hypnotic and robust at the same time. Two thumbs up -- 'at's all I got.

One of the hidden gems of the Naxos catalog are the series of recordings of Medieval music by the Ensemble Unicorn with Michael Posch. The music they choose to record here comes from the 14th century Llivre Vermell de Monstserrat preserved there in an codex of five parts. The book resulted from an attempt to set contemporary popular music to spiritual texts to help to reach out to a wider audience.

This CD is exemplary in every possible way. The liner notes written by Michael Posch himself are superb. Furthermore, the recorded sound quality is pretty much audiophile grade and runs rings around those produced by major record labels for the fraction of the price. The music making is beautiful, evocative and fascinating with all performances having the intensity and brilliance you can always count on from this superb ensemble.

Very highly recommended.

An absolute stunner- each cut is wonderful and the mix is inspired. The Faure Pavane- always a lovely piece of classical music, but nothing extraordinary- rises to the heights in Ms Carter's deft hands- it is arguably my single favorite piece of recorded music in any genre, ever- simply amazing!

As someone who greatly appreciates violin music and the beautiful masterpieces of classical masters Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel and Gabriel Fauré, I find this recording, Regina Carter's "Paganini: After A Dream," a great source of musical enjoyment especially when shared with friends who have the same musical tastes as mine.

In recording this set of nine dreamy pieces that will captivate your ears, Ms. Carter was so privileged to be the first non-classical violinist to play the very famous Italy's national treasure called "The Cannon," a 250-year-old violin that belonged to Nicolò Paganini, a legendary Baroque violinist/composer. There is a classical as well as historical essence on this beautiful album that was recorded in New York City and Genoa, Italy in 2002 under a prestigious label, Verve Records. One of the most respected names in orchestrations and a multi-Grammy Award winner, Jorge Calandrelli, did the exquisite arrangements and orchestrations, with String ensemble conducted by Ettore Stratta.

Ms. Carter interprets some classical pieces with contemporary approach that will captivate your ears - Ravel's "Pavane Pour Une Infante Défunte," Fauré's "Après Un Rève" and "Pavane," and my top favorite from this set, Debussy's "Reverie." I've heard so many different interpretations of this classical piece, but this one is rendered in a most unconventionally beautiful setting with its chart based on an arrangement performed by Ella Fitzgerald on Clap Hands, Here Comes Charlie!

I'm so captivated by the beauty of "Black Orpheus (Manha de Carnaval)," a poignant ballad composed by Brazilian guitarist, Luis Bonfá. It is one of the most-recorded tunes amongst legends of jazz, and one of the most beautiful melodies of all-time. With her exceptional talent in violin playing, Ms. Carter shines not only on this track, but the entire recording.

"Cinema Paradiso" and "Oblivion" by Italian composers Ennio Morricone and Astor Piazzolla, respectively, are also two of the most notable pieces executed in a light and breezy manner with Ms. Carter's violin sounding so enormously charming.

The fine musicians who contributed their creativity to make this album truly remarkable and worthy to any music lover's collection are Chris Lightcap (bass), Alvester Garnett (drums), Mayra Casales (percussion), and not to mention an orchestra consisting of cello, bass, viola and harp players. My special mention goes to a great pianist, Werner "Vana" Gierig for a wonderful piano playing, and of course to Ms. Carter, whose superb artistry goes beyond violin playing - she's also a noted composer in her own right. And the piece "Alexandra," (obviously a tribute to her niece) is a testament of her composing skills.

This is one of the best instrumental albums I've ever heard with elements of jazz and classical fusion to make for a unique listening experience. I will most definitely recommend it to any music lover.

This is a great CD and I listen to it over and over again. She is so versatile and her sound is amazing as are all the performers on this disc.

The most outstanding music I've heard in years. It was playing in a designer's home in Highlands, NC when we went to show it to real estate clients. And boy did it set the mood: Sophistication, High Culture and Joy.
After we left, we orderd 3 copies- one for each of us.
And we buy about 2 CD's year. That's how motivivated we were.

Terrible, terrible CD. I got it two day's ago and could not even listen through the whole CD. Regina plays the violin and the music with such bad taste. What a disgrace to the once Paganini's violin. I can't believe I spent my money on this. It should not even have 1 star.

Mankind emerged with all his strengths and weaknesses to where he is today and it all began around the area this music originated from (Middle East/Africa).

The music from this album is intricate, vibrant, and exotic, a pleasure to listen to.

The area that gave birth to this music is our Mother Earth's womb in many respects. Many of us have no idea that most of man's DNA originated from this section of our beautiful planet.

The general feeling emerging from listening to this most remarkable CD is one of happy celebration. It is warm with emotion and embracing of all man. Beautiful, tribal and raw, this music reaches so deep it touches the soul.

A most remarkable and relevant album.

This is a terrific introduction to pre tempered scale music. Because of that, many listeners will perhaps find it disonant, or discordant. It is and it isn't. This is a very well performed collection of early music with vocals by very gifted singers. The rhythms are engaging and the CD has become a regular play in both my MP3 player and on my computers.

I liked it ...

I am not anyone to comment on the authenticity of this music. I have no idea how accurately it represents Medieval Mediterranean music. It sounds like it does: it sounds the way I might imagine the music of the period.

Regardless, the one thing I am qualified to evaluate is my pleasure listening to it. My favorite track is the first one, the Arab kyrie. Not quite like anything I've ever heard, but I would certainly go to any church where I could hear it.

This CD has helped to whet my appetite for more such music, and I suspect it would do so for anyone. If you are shopping here, I think you should strongly consider buying this one. I would, however, direct you to two other CDs as well (reminding you that I am by no means a knowledgeable person in this field): Sufi music such as Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (though there are many other less famous examples, at least as good), and Arab Christian music, especially Marie Keyrouz. If there is a god, that is the music he hears in heaven. But excepting those two sources of superlatively uplifting music, this is among the best CDs I own. At its price, it's too good to miss.

I expected to like this one, so I wasn't surprised. The Kyrie is definitely catchy. This is a terrific cd.

Excellent . beautiful job - recording encompasses several different music styles and they're all done with quality. Have recommended this one to several friends.

If you're a fan of THREE MO', don't miss out! A great mixture of blues, opera, jazz, and a little bit of gospel at the end! These men are SO talented. Beware! You will find yourself getting up and dancing, too!

I fell in love with this DVD. I miss this particular live performance in NYC, but the DVD has filled a void. These gentlemen are phenomenal.
I just saw the 2007 Three Mo' Tenors, and although they were absolutely great, nothing, but nothing outdoes the original Three Mo' Tenors. I look forward to seeing them in future shows, but I also look forward to other Three Mo' Tenor performances on DVD.

The word "Mo'" in the title got my attention. I bought the CD to compare it to the already popular "Three Tenors" (Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti and Jose Carreras). Wow! Was I surprised. I had expected an all opera, classical and possibly spiritual repetoire. But, the music varies from "Nessun Dorma" to "Love Train" was truly, truly delightful. I enjoyed the wonderful voices of Thomas Young, Roderick Dixon, and Victor Trent Cook and the variety of musical selections so much that I purchased several other copies for my family and friends. Then, several months later, I saw their performance on PBS. I immediately ordered the VHS offered by the TV station, paying way, way over the retail price. But, I had to have it. It was, and is, the most exciting musical performance that I have seen. Later, when I put the tape into the player at my son's house, my 5-year-old granddaughter Ciara stood next to the sofa to watch. I expected her to move away soon, but, she stood there, during the entire playback of the performance, and I do mean from beginning to end. I left the tape there so that son could see it later. The following day, and for most days during the next several weeks, Ciara asked to have the tape played, until she later was taught to handle it herself. The family has since replaced my VHS with the DVD so that now, when Ciara visits me, we can watch the show again (and again). "Three Mo' Tenors" was so surprisingly wonderful- with great voices, charismatic personalities, terrific orchestral arrangements, lively and precisely choreographed routines, and just an overall feeling of mutual admiration and respect among the three gentlemen. The beautiful cinematics, with frequently interspersed shots of the enthusiatic audience, contributes to the feeling that I am actually there at the concert. Every time I watch it, I see and hear something new. When I first heard the CD, I was not fascinated by the countertenor voice. After seeing Victor Trent Cook's heartwarming performance on the DVD, and hearing his comment about his mother's definition of a countertenor, I have been granted a new appreciation for his voice. Here it is, years later, and I'm still enamored, remembering Roderick Dixon's "Make Them Hear You" elicits tears, Thomas Young's "Twisted" makes me laugh, and the duet with Victor and Thomas (see, I'm now on first-name basis with them) is so beautiful. I could to on and on. In fact, it's time for another listen.

I would rate this CD more than five stars if I could! I picked up this CD not knowing anything about these guys, but, knowing that I liked some of the songs contained on it. I was absolutely blown away by this collection! These guys have it all. Voices, talent, showmanship, style, technique, etc. Everytime I listen to it, I feel like I'm sitting right there in the theatre. I am a huge fan of opera, jazz and gospel. This CD covers it all! Although my favorite tracks are La Donna e Mobile, Make Them Hear You, and Nessun Dorma, they are all so good! I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again. You have to hear them to believe them!
