Billy Currington

I've used amazon.com a couple of times & it has always been an awesome experience. Easy to use, Delivery on time, Great Products!!!

This album is not as strong as the previous 2, with only a handful of songs that you can remember after the first listen. "Don't" is the strongest track and is one of only a few songs that showcased Billy's vocal range and versatility - perhaps he took it easy on his vocal chords considering he recently just came back from something so career-threatening.. Another strong cut is "People Are Crazy" - a story about a man who inherited the wealth of a stranger, an old man, who he had one conversation with over beer - "God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy".

One song that I find too "forced" is "Life, Love and the Meaning Of". I thought the song had no direction and was, as they say, all over the place.

Overall, it's a good enough effort but he would probably not get more than 2 hits out of this.

This CD is great just like his other 2. I had bought his 1st CD because of just 1 song, but after listening to the whole cd, I love all the songs. Then I purchased the 2nd cd, and again all the songs are great. Now, the 3rd is the same. Can't wait for Billy's 4th to come out.

I honestly had big hopes for this cd, and it doesn't deliver...sad but true. The songs are very pop-country, and doesn't stick in your mind after hearing them. There are some good songs, but all in all the cd is slow and a little anonymous. Why can't we get some real country from these guys???

Billy Currington should become a household name with the release of his third cd. The thing that is so refreshing about Currington is that he is not afraid to take risks, often risks that could be career breaking. But he uses those great sultry chops of his and gives us "eclectic Billy"and it all works! Unlike Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, and Rodney Atkins who give us predictable, bland, 2 note range country, Currington actually uses his voice, its range, power and timing with a fine variety of songs, radio friendly pop/country, but each unique.

There are a bunch of tunes that are the top of the lines. The first cd cut is called 'Swimmin in Sunshine" that must be pulled as a summer single. It is the best summer, upbeat song to come along in years. This should be a smash..infectious and sassy. "Every Reason Not to Go" shows Billy in familiar country territory that he handles so well. "People are Crazy" has a traditional country George Strait sound to it. And
"Everything" the sort of reggae,country, is the absolute best thing on the cd. This song is just so damn good. This and "Swimmin" are the monster cuts. "Walk On" takes on a bluesy Beatleseque feel, and "Heal Me" is the most challenging vocally for Billy. He does a great job.
Truly, there is not a miss on the album, but there is one weak cut," Life, Love and the Meaning of It" which is just a poorly written song. But even that is far better than most of the pablum you hear on fm country today.
Billy Currington is new country and he does it well. You can tell that this guy loves to sing, because his phrasing, range, and style reveal that so honestly.

Love this CD just as much as his first one! Billy Currington has one of the best voices in country music. All the songs on this CD showcase his talent beautifully!

This is an absolute ear pleaser. I listen to this cd almost everyday and never get fed up of hearing it. His voice is sooooooooooooooooooo lovely.No regrets buying his cd infact I go both of it and I'm his fan for life. Keep it up Billy. Singing Kenny Rogers Lucilly wow!!!!! I am very happy with this CD I bought it specifically for "Good Directions" and found more songs on there that made it worthwhile in purchasing it. That usually is not the case,but in this instance it was (thankfully).I think most will be pleased with purchasing this.

This is our favorite cd for the moment. My 4 yr old goes around telling ppl they are hillbillies because they drink corn whiskey! My 2 yr old yells hillbilly! every time we get in the van. The music is fun and I highly recommend it if you like country.

Bought this cd to get the song, Good Directions, but found the entire CD full of great songs!

He has definitely grown on me. I hated Party for Two with Shania Twain. But after listening to his other stuff, I really enjoy his music now.

I had no idea what an awesome artist he is! I love the whole cd, but I have to admit...I bought it mainly because I love the song Walk a Little Straighter. I had to know who sang it...so I got onto Amazon and when I started listening to some of the other songs on this cd - I had to have it. He's a very talented artist! I'm sooo glad I decided to check him out!

my boyfriend lives in the manzano mountains, east of albuquerque. we were driving back from picking up pizza one night and "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right" came on the radio. he said, "you want to dance?" i didn't think he meant it but he did. he stopped right there on some rural road in the mountains turned up the volume and we danced in the headlights. a car drove by and honked and waved. must be doin' somethin' right...mmmmmhhhhhhmmmmm

THE OLDER LOVE HIS MUSIC, BECAUSE THEY CAN SLOW DANCE WITH THE ONE THEY LOVE OR CAN SHAKE LOOSE TO HIS MUSIC. HIS MUSIC IS VERY HEARTFELT, ESPECIALLY THE SONG "DOIN SOMETHIN RIGHT". THIS SONG IS "TRULY" ONE OF THE BEST LOVE SONGS OF ALL TIMES!!!!!! ITS A SONG THAT YOU COULD LISTEN TO OVER AND OVER AND NEVER GET TIRED OF HEARING. My son, Matt, also grew up in Rincon, Ga. His father was an alcoholic with an unkind demeanor. Matt has been negatively influenced by his dad's behavior and the effect is probably lifelong. Billy's song has touched our hearts and souls while allowing some comfort in knowing that ours was not an isolated situation so close to home. They say there is comfort in numbers but his song says there is comfort on a much deeper level.....one that is really understood by being there. If it makes one parent stop and think about the results of negative role modeling....it has served a great purpose other than being a great song to listen to....Billy, you are great...keep those songs coming!

I love this song because it makes me think of my dad every time i hear it and it makes me wanna cry. I think of all the things that my dad has done for me like helping me out with my bullriding when i needed it and being there to support me when i go to one. This song has helped me out a lot with things and it has tought me to appreiceate my dad a little more. I love billy currington and i would some day like to meet him. Thanks billy for putting out such a great song.

Walk a little straighter is one of the best country songs I've heard in a long time.It's a song that really hits home.

2 words---UNBELIEVABLY INCREDIBLE! It's so great that Billy Curringtom actually lived his lyrics to "Walk A Little Straighter." He took a situation that to so many people would be extrememly catastrophic and made it into a beautiful song that many people will benefit from. His father eventually died of drinking and cancer.
