I am really unsure why House music has not taken off in the United States - it is popular in nearly every other inhabited location around the globe. Bob Sinclair's Western Dream is awesome clubbing album that is more than a one-hit track cd.

Of course, if you are looking at this album, you probably have heard his infamous single "World, Hold On." Other notable tracks include "Love Generation" and "Rock this Party."

This album is a must for any clubbers out there, and you will definitely hear the quality difference from this CD version versus the subpar internet download versions.

Highly recommended for anyone who wishes to have a taste of some real dance music.

"World, Hold On" is an uplifting dance tune with a Caribbean undertone that will lift your spirits. Other songs are good as well.

Hi people, lovers of true dance music,
I think that this CD is a slap in the face to what true dance/trance music is. I think that Bob Sinclair should stop producing/mixing the worst form of "dance" music that I and ALL of my friends find complete trash and obnoxious sound of.. whatever..
Seriously, I hope that most people don't associate awesome dance music with this french style trash music... I can't believe anyone would listen to this... even in a coma... let alone on a dance floor or..whatever they find fun.
That song, "everybody move.. or whatever the title is.. is so freeking irritating that I want to pull all of my hair out. I heard it on Music Choice and almost had a cerebral aneursym burst right there and then..
Trust me, friends, I have never heard one good song that Bob Sinclair has produced..
Dont buy this CD.. You should give this money to the local animal shelter instead.. atleast you'll feel good about yourself!

This double CD compilation naturally comes from Quango, who introduced the world to Zero 7, Kruder & Dorfmeister, and Koop. Zero 7's enchanting Sia contributes a rare remix of "Where I Belong" and ill tracks from Moloko, Chicks On Speed, Truby Trio and a ton others are included on this collection of cool downtempo grooves, electro-house and hip hop soul.

A must to add to any chillout playlist!

I noticed that most people gave harsh reviews of III, but I personally think this is one of the best dance music of 2003. I think it is artistic and bold to recreate the 80s disco era.

I like all the tracks but I especially love the tune "Kiss My Eyes (track 2)" which has a tango-Goten Project feel to it. "So High (track 13)" is moogy and groovy and instrumental "Nature Boy (track 5)" and "La Music Is Fantastique (track 4)" are brilliantly programmed. You should try this album.

Great cd, I just loved it! If you enjoy retro dance music with a french twist, (very trendy and cool now) then this is defenitely a must!. The use of vintage instruments and latest technology in the recording as well as the lushious vocals are just awesome. I enjoy every single track, and have like six or 7 favourites. The edition I got of this cd includes a hidden track, just let play track 13 until 7 min 14 sec, and there it is, it will make dance your head off.!!! So if you want to listen to something "tres chic", this is the choice!!!

I ordered this cd for the Mike Cruz Remix and Dub. I only got a radio edit and club version. Make sure you ask for all 8 versions if you order this. I am giving this 1 star, because it is missing 6 tracks.

I first heard this track while at a small house club, Gigi's, in Philadelphia. It had a real good beat, very danceable. Later learned the name of the track after downloading the Release Yourself podcast by Roger Sanchez. When I heard it in its full glory I was hooked. It has the suave 90's feel of Modjo's "Lady Hear Me Tonight" with a more driving, but still chilled out pulse. This is classic house, with similar buildups of a trance song. The lyrics are not bad either, maybe some message to them. One day you will have to answer to the children of the sky.

I love disco and have a very large collection, but I wanted a mixed collection. This was a perfect choice. I like how the songs are mixed together and I like most of the songs. The First disc starts out good but loses me during track 12 through 15. I love the Don Ray song. A little tried of Dancer (Even though it's a great song.) Space and Grace Jones make a nice ending. Disc 2 is perfection from start to finish. I also recommend anything by Ben Liebrand.

I was hopeful for a trip down memory lane. Disc 2 certainly delivered that for me. Nice to hear Comateens. Thanks Bob
Disc1 How many times do DJ's have to put Barbara Tucker on compilations YAWN. So many others out there to choose from be a little more daring next time, a fan. "Get off my case right Bob"?

how could any fan of bob sinclar not love this compilation? the setlist is terrific, featuring thirty-eight uplifting, tuneful disco/discohouse selections. i had hoped there would be a third disc (per defected's "in the house" series), but this set is, otherwise, great as is.

As a whole I like this 2 cd mix. It was much better than the former 'Western Dreams'(original Bob S'songs), This a compilation of mainly late 70's and early 80's dance artists. There's an interesting selection of tracks, most of them very pleasing to listen to,very stylish indeed. The BIG FLAW is that there are 3 tracks in cd 1 that are way far of being stylish, they are rather annoying and sooo cheap. (That's my taste!) Those tracks are; 'Church Lady", "Beautiful People" and "Midnight Train", What a waste of time in this mix. Horrendous tracks that just make you skip the to the next one, fortunately most of the tracks are sooo good. The mixing as you can expect from one of the best DJ in the world is just exellent . The opening in cd 1 with "From East to West" by Voyage is so nice and the first transition into the second Voyage track is just flawless. I have another complaint, it is about one of the finest dance tracks ever; "Dancer" by Gino Soccio. It was played in this mix a little bit on the high pitch side, it sounds kind of weird cause it loses its lusciousness and that's a pity! Tiny flaws in the track transition at the last two songs, but the songs themselves make you overlook these so tiny flaws (if so).
Cd 2 is for me a little better than cd 1, Track selection and mixing are to die for, only the last tracks are more into 80's style, which I don't dislike, but this track time could have been used to include those rarities that only Bob Sinclar can offer in their mixes. Hopefully he will release soon a compilation with all those oh-so-glamorous-gems of the underground, so sofisticated discotheque music.\
Give this cd set a try, if you are into great dance retro music mixed and selected by a little mixing genious like Bob S, go and get it now.
Hey, and please, listen to "Cerrone" by Bob Sinclar!. That's his finest.
