This album takes you on a roller coaster! Many of the songs are beautifully written and tug at the heart strings! There are also great beats. This is one of my all time favorites!

This album is very amazing. I listen to it everyday! Her voice is so beautiful that I am often moved to tears. I always get goosebumps when I listen. It's definitely a must-have :D.

In my opinion it is NOT one bad song on this cd,i love em all.This has to be her best album!It feels good to just put this cd in and let it play!

next to her debut, i like this one the best. even though she doesn't have the strongest voice out there, it's still good to listen to.

Brandy was only 19 when this album was released. This includes the smash hits "Have You Ever?" and "The Boy is Mine (with Monica)" "Never Say Never" and other good songs are "Happy" and "Top of the World (with MA$E)." I always liked Brandy's nice voice in these R&B songs. If you like Brandy, this is a must.

Excellent debut from another vocally mature young lady. Brandy debuted at a time when there was a bit of a vacuum for really young singers in the r&b music field. Initially a lot of people wrote her off or chose not to view her as a serious artist because she was so young at the time but once they got to listen to the music without prejudice towards her age, they realized that she was a very talented artist who was going to be around for a long time.

I loved everything about Brandy - her sultry vocals, her sweet persona & how involved her parents were in her imaging (they carefully avoided the over-sexualized "Lolita-esque" image which helped Brandy grow up with her fans).

I also love that although this album debuted in 1994, it doesn't sound dated to me. My favorite tracks are: BABY, BEST FRIEND, I WANNA BE DOWN, SUNNY DAY, ALWAYS ON MY MIND, LOVE IS ON MY SIDE & GIVE ME YOU.

Although I enjoyed her rendition of BROKEN HEARTED - I prefer the version with Wanya Morris so couldn't add the track to my list of faves.

I'd highly recommend this disc to Brandy fans, r&b fans and to those who are just curious about what music in this era sounded like.

This was when the singing was so pure and innocent. Great CD. I still listen to it often.

I agree with another reviewer in stating that the mid 90's was the best time for urban music. With the likes of solo artists (Brandy, Monica, Aaliyah) and groups (TLC, Silk, Boyz II Men) ruling the r&b AND pop charts, who could argue? Brandy's debut is the epitome of that glorious time for urban music.

Spawning no less than FOUR huge hits ("Baby", "Best Friend", "I Wanna Be Down", "Brokenhearted"), Brandy became an instant bestseller, selling 4 million copies and still counting. Who could resist the irresistible grooves, the sultry-driven vocals, and most importantly, Brandy's sweet innocence? She was the entire package and the public responded warmly to her.

But enough about Brandy and the public response. What really sells this album, IMO, is the album tracks. And there are plenty to name. My personal favorite is "I'm Yours". This is quite possibly the best track on the album (even though "Brokenhearted" is a very close second). Brandy displays so much power and conviction into this song. It's a wonder it wasn't release as a single. Other highlights include "As Long As You're Here" (a smoky, midtempo tune reminiscent of jazzy rap), "Love Is On My Side" (a syrupy ballad also as charming as "Brokenhearted"), and "Give Me You" (a great closer to an otherwise stellar album).

In sum, Brandy turned out an very impressive debut album. Sometimes, you forget that she was only 14 at the time of release. Amazing huh? But believe it or not, better records would turn up for Brandy as her career took off (Never Say Never anyone?). However, this one has always been my personal favorite so I am biased in my review:). You know it. You love it. Get it if you don't have it.

Brandy has grown up, her vocals have matured and become more powerful, and she has yet again, set a signature singing style that's grown and very, very sexy. Soothing is what I would say to describe this CD in a simple word.

I love that she is the head vocal producer for the album, because it takes talent to do. Like Miss Whitney Houston (Thank you, Whitney for kicking that crazy addict to the damn curb!)

All in all, a solid effort. The last track is a great, great outro and will make you feel at ease. I think they should've left Another Day In Paradise for this album too. It would have been one of the few midtempos present.

Loved the ballads to pieces, and Brandy brings some of her great songwriting to the forefront once again. Big ups to Mike City for writing the title track, Full Moon by himself!

Okay people, if you want a real rnb album, then you came to the right place because 'Full Moon' is what you are looking for. This album will fulfill every craving you have for soulful music. The production is genius and the songs are beautiful. Brandy has always had a good production team and they really know how to write for her because the songs are real personal. This album really lets you know Brandy as an adult. It is soo different from the previous album 'Never Say Never'. I can honestly say that I don't have any favorites because this album is the BOMB from top to bottom, but I will say that I am a ballard girl so I tend to lean towards the ballards as far as putting tracks on repeat. With this album you get one intro and 16 songs so you get a real deal for your money. When I say that every track is fire, trust me. She even has a duet with Ray J on the last song, 'I'll die without you'. Back in the day, a lot of people felt they had to choose between her and Monica, but now I hope we all realize that we don't have to choose, we can have both. I wasn't the biggest Brandy fan in the beginning but now, after hearing Full Moon, I immediately purchased her follow up, 'Aphrodiac', which is also a nice album. The one thing that you will appreciate about Brandy is that her voice is so smooth, soulful and controlled. She has a soft and husky voice that can be classified as smooth and seductive and she can blow!! I am soo in love with this album that I listen to it everyday. The good thing about this album is that it is timeless, meaning you will be able to listen to it 10 years from now. Her music is very refreshing, considering what we are being fed these days. This is why I went back, because I was craving real rnb music. Back then, it was just about the music, now it's about the image. So people, if you love real rnb music as much as I do, then pick up this album, You will be one happy camper.

"Full Moon" found Brandy reaching a moment where she was ready to grow as an artist. She again enlisted Darkchild (Rodney Jerkins, et al.) to set-up the musical backdrops that caused "Never Say Never" to become one of the best R&B records of it's time. So, the question in 2002 was, did Brandy bring the goods?

In one word, yes. The arrangements on "Full Moon" divide between the stunning adult balladry & sharper, urban driven dance material. Though the sound is more dark at times, more sensual, & it seems that the transition of adulthood wasn't that hard for her.

On the dance end, you have "What About Us", the lead single. This mechanized, deep grind of a groove was the perfect vehicle for the angst of the subject of a spurned lover. The British two-step inflected "All In Me" is another highlight, & sits next to the dizzying, heavy handed bass laden "I Thought" perfectly. From the urban dance perspective, Brandy paints herself as a modern-day Jody Watley vocally & from a compositonal standpoint. There wasn't a better female empowered anthem that could move you like "What About Us?" at the time since "Looking For A New Love".

For further allusions to Jody comparions, the vocals on the previously mentioned ballads are the true treat. Sensual, probing, emotionally poignant, & convicted. While Brandy didn't handle (beyond some co-write credits) majority of the songwriting, the passion she sings with makes these songs all hers. The title track sets the compostional mood for the ballads. Harder beats, paired with violin & piano work, & Brandy's voice for organic purposes blend here. This pairing of studio wizardry & more soulful elements helps make these ballads warm & inviting.
It drives home the hauntingly spectacular "It's Not Worth It". This song features backing vocals from Michael Jackson, though credit is only listed in the liner notes, it sounds incredible. Brandy's vocals at the fore & Michael's at the back sound like Brandy singing over an old, mournful 1970's soul gem. Other notables include the fitting tribute to the P.M. Dawn classic "I'd Die Without You" (with brother Ray J on vocals), "WOW" wows in it's honesty, & the sweet come-ons that are "When You Touch Me" & "Like This" charm without effort.

Overall, despite the length, "Full Moon" is a rewarding listen. One that brings Brandy's need to connect through thoughts on matters of lonliness, unrequited love, infidelity, true love, romance, & finding oneself in another successfully. Highly recommended.

Till this day it still amazes me how Brandy released this fabulous album in 2002, and yet no-talents like ashanti were getting more attention than her. Brandy and Rodney Jerkins both hit their creative peak with this CD, which is full of r&b and pop tunes with a futuristic millenium sound to it.

So I've been a fan of Brandy ever since "The Boy Is Mine" and "Almost Doesn't Count" were popular in 1998-99. Although, I didn't own any of her albums until her album "Full Moon" was released. I had heard "What About Us?", and iTunes not being around then, I bought the CD. It was so good that I decided to purchase "Never Say Never", and quickly fell in love with it. When "Afrodisiac" came out, I thought about getting it but had heard it was not that good. In April of this year I started listing to Brandy a lot more. With some previewing I decided that I would buy it, so I did. Now I'm really happy I did because its a great CD.

It starts off with "Who I Am", a track that is about her divorce. "Just for the sake of my daughter, I tried to stick to the plan, but I had to get rid of the wait on my fourth finger, left hand." It is a good opener, but the songs just get better. Next is the title track, which is my personal favorite on the album. Then "Who Is She 2 U?" and "Talk About Our Love" follow. "Who Is She" is a mid-tempo track that was released as the second single, although personally it's not my favorite, but still worth listing, while "Talk About Our Love" is the lead single that features a rap by Kanye West.

"I Tried" comes next, which is a song about her man cheating. The "Where You Wanna Be" and "Focus" are just alright tracks. Then comes another one of my favorites "Sadiddy" which has a weird, but awesome beat. Then the 2003 not very successful promo single "Turn It Up" which is another favorite of mine. It is a great song to dance to. Part of the song is dedicated to her late friend/labelmate, Aaliyah. "Get Babygirl's attention, she's more than a woman and we sure do miss her. I want to represent her, Timbaland, Missy you get the picture."

"Come As You Are" is about becoming a woman and growing up, which she defiantly did with this album. Another great track is "Finally", which is the only song on Afro that was actually co-written by Miss Norwood herself. The album ends with "Should I Go" which is about wondering if she should leave the music industry or not. It features another dedication to Aaliyah, and you find yourself relieved as she sings the bridge "Well, I gave it some time, and I made up my mind, move over, this is my time, B-Rocka's back on the grind".

Overall I give "Afrodisiac" a four out of five. It has really catchy 5-star songs like "Turn It Up" and "Finally", but some low points too like "Where You Wanna Be" and "Focus". If you like R&B music with good beats I suggest this album.

This is Brandy's best album to date. Every track is a gem from the club bangers to the ballads. This is HOTT!!!

This is one truly underrated record. Not only is this in my opinion the best work Timbaland as done thus far it also shocases the Brandy's inventive mind in regards to the jaw dropping vocal production on this album. Personal favourites of mine are Saddidy, I Tried, Say You WIll etc. For all the people who are skeptical I was not even a fan hers at all but I found it for Four dollars in my local record store and it blew me away. If you are open minded about music as I am (I just listened to Godflesh and Neurosis) than give it a go you will be suprised

Brandy is one of the most talented singers in our era. I have always been a huge Brandy fan and have all of her albums from her first Brandy, to Never Say Never and Full Moon. I must admit however I did not purchase Afrodisiac until September 2007..What is strange about that? When her first track came out with Kanye West The More They Talk About Our Love I must admit I liked it but was not "floored" by the track the way I was when "Full Moon" came out. Still hurting possibly from her failed marriage and then starting a new relationship I think the "fire" that Brandy had always possessed just wasn't there when it came time to "promote" this album. Also at the time I remember she had hired Benny Medina which may or may not have been a "good" career move. All of the above I think allowed one of the hottest albums Brandy has ever done fail to reach the masses and garner grammys which she should have earned.

Brandy is one of the most intelligent young artists in the industry. Her ability to pick tracks that fit her voice and her talent of settling in with the hottest producers makes her a virtuoso that I would like to compare her with a Miles Davis or a Billy Holiday she just "knows" what works for her.

I am looking for a new Brandy album to hit the charts sometime in 2008 at that time if she can look beyond the lack of talent that has flooded the industry I believe this new album will garner her the critical acclaim that she has always deserved..I know I will "forever" be a Brandy fan and I wish her continued success with an awesome career..Buy this album and if you want to listen to great music every single day pick up "all" of her previous albums you will not be disappointed.

The Best of Brandy is the absolute best. I love this album. It includes a mixture of all of Brandy's hits. "What about Us", "Full Moon", "Baby", "Best Friend", "Talk About Our Love", and more.... If you grew up listening to Brandy and singing along to her songs, you gotta buy this album or at least buy the MP3s. 5 stars all the way!!!!!!

Brandy makes this song a favorite for me. I love all of her music. Tamia also has a beautiful voice. As always Gladys sounds like a million bucks. And I think Chaka sounds great singing gospel. Brandy puts her heart in this song like she does all of her music.I love the whole song but I think Brandy's part should have been longer!
