I love This Album and love all their stuff. Awesome group! someone else to check out is Bumblefoot has a new cd out "Abnormal" great cd and expect great things from this guy! and many more to come!!!

I knew there were several songs I liked from hearing them on the radio. Besides those, there were only a couple of songs I didn't care for. Overall a good album, and I would recommend.

I understand that Breaking Benjamin seems to have a huge fanbase, as there are many positive reveiews for them, but when I took a listen and downloaded the album, I wasnt impressed, and I figure that most of the people that are reviewing them are loyal fans, and not someone like myself, who never heard their music, was taking them for a test drive. I decided to try them out as I saw fans of Chevelle (a simple, but solid rock band) recommended and bought this, so I figured, hey, it might be another tight and solid rock band. Sorry to say, I didnt hear anything from them that was original, and they sounded like a Billion other "pop" rock bands that are out there today. If there is one thing that irks the hell out of me, espically with this type of music, is why the angry screaming. I dont get it. Sing, please, unless the lyrics are angry or it fits, dont go on a fit of rage with a line like "She took all my stuff when she left" Of course this is just a silly example, but I just dont see its place in rock music unless its necessary. Lets keep that with Metal and Hardcore please. As you can see, I am complaining about every aspect of this band and the types like it. I dont think this review will be helpful to Breaking Benjamin fans, since I think most like all their music. For people who are experimenting like me, it is all going to depend what your bag is. If you are like me, and dont have a love for "pop" rock that I think or shall I say we think is generic, then you will probley agree with me. If not, and you are into more pop rock, which there is nothing wrong with, that is your choice, you might like it.

this cd is good and has great songs like diary of jane, dance with the devil and unknown soldier but seems to be lacking something. i dont know what but i like their 2 other cds better. this cd doesnt have enough variety and the singing changed too much. i enjoyed them before, they didnt need to change so much but it is what it is. still a solid release and breaking benjamin fans will still like this cd.

Breaking benjamin are one of the best i don't listen to bands like seether,puddle of mud,or staind i listen to heavier stuff than this but breaking benjamin are different they are heavier than all those bands.Saturate was probably heavier than this one im not sure but this is still good i love ben's screams he screams more in saturate but this has heavier sounds.If your a fan of these guys you will love this and if you like metal or hard rock check it out,yes they are metal for those of you who just called them rock.This album is great can't choose between saturate and this one cause of course i like it heavy and we are not alone was awesome just not as heavy as saturate and phobia.You might say im overwellming with my heavy but hey im metal.This is for fans of tool, nirvana,and just those who want something heavier than that.

I love all the CD's from this band. I can listen to the entire CD without a song that is irritable. If you are interested to Rock Music that sounds NICE, try this band!

Even though im into really heavier stuff than this and im not a melodic person,i like breaking benjamin heavines and hard rock melodic stuff.This album is not as good as saturate or phobia but it still has many great songs while some are eah.If you like alternative metal and hard rock and want it a bit heavy then listen to breaking benjamin get this album although the other two albums are heavier,but still breaking benjamin fans need to own all thier albums.

Breaking Benjamin is awesome. This was my first purchase of one of their albums, and I'll be buying a few more after having heard this one.

CD arrived promptly and was packaged properly so that no damage occurred to the preoduct during shipping.

Of all the mainstream music out there, you have the horrible pop-emo, pop-rap, and then you have most of the radio rock music (which is the highlights of all the boring Grammy awards.) Of course, Breaking Benjamin is probably one of the most underrated bands of todays radio rock. Of all the 12 tracks (the hidden track is a 2005 version of "Rain" which I find kinda useless,) there are so many that are awesome (Forget It, Simple Design, Firefly, Break my Fall, So Cold, etc) that you will not want to skip a single song if you are listening to it via album. Its a wonder that these guys do not walk off with a dozen grammys. On the flip side, the album notebook is extremely useless (apart from a few thank-yous, there is no way you can read to find out the lyrics since they are jumbled around.) Oh, and I forgot to mention that Breaking Benjamin gets a little help from Smashing Pumpkins/Zwan's Billy Corgan with a few songs including the hit "Rain". So, fans of rock music and Smashing Pumpkins may want to get a copy of this really great album. Just avoid a lot of the one star reviews if you are still unsure about We Are Not Alone (they really are telling the truth!)

I could fill you with all the reasons this cd is great but i'd rather leave you with one word that sum's it up, remarkable

ILL RATE THIS A SOLID 4 STARS. MY REASONING... THIS CD MUSICALY BRINGS IT...IT HAS A REAL SOLID SOUND VERY ORIGINAL AND UNIQUE. BUT THE REASON ITS NOT 5 STARS IS BECAUSE I HEARD THE THE LAST 2 ALBLUMS THEY CAME OUT WITH FIRST.LYRICALLY THE FIRST ALBLUM LACKS WITH WHERE THEY ARE NOW WITH "WE ARE NOT ALONE" AND "PHOBIA" I THINK THIS BAND CONTINUES TO GROW WITH EACH NEW RELEASE. WE CERTAINLY HAVE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO WHEN THEY COME OUT WITH A 4TH ALBLUM.... CANT WAIT... solid 4 stars!

I got Breaking Benjamin's debut album from 2002 "Saturate" a day before my birthday back in September of just last year, and it immediately got me hooked to this band. Then in the weeks to come, I would go on to buy their following two albums 2004's "We Are Not Alone" and 2006's "Phobia". Of all three Breaking Benjamin albums thus far, "Saturate" is my favorite album by these guys, and it also became one of my favorite modern rock albums to listen to as well. True, I know some of my fellow metalheads and Amazon friends won't like BB or this album, and if they don't, that's just fine with me, I understand. Just because I'm listening to these guys right now, doesn't mean I'm gonna stop listening to Pantera, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Dream Theater, Suffocation, Death, Obituary, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Atheist, Nile, Kreator, Behemoth, and every other great metal band alike. I'm not even a big fan of mainstream/radio rock whatsoever, but Breaking Benjamin are one of those few bands that actually catch my attention and turn me on whenever I feel like rocking out.

Anyways onto the album. This album is just full of addicting melodies and catchy choruses, and the lyrics are good and they're very meaningful too. Every song on here is great and worth listening to, and not to mention the musicianship on here is of course good, strong and tight in it's own right. Ben Burnley's vocals are just awesome on here and very melodic. Aaron Fink's guitar riffs are very good and catchy too. Together he and Ben together both do a nice splendid job at taking these simple little riffs and actually MAKING something out of them. Mark James Klepaske even lays down some nice basslines good enough to give the listener a nice pulse, and Jeremy Hummel's drumming is very good as well. The first song "Wish I May" is a nice solid rocking opener and one of my favorite songs on the album. I like the riffs, the vocals, and the overall beat of this song. Track two "Medicate" is definately my favorite song on here. The feel of this song is just awesome, and Ben's vocals are just great, and the chorus is very addicting as well, I love it. The third track "Polyamorous" is another favorite of mine as well one of the band's best known songs. The guitar riffs are very catchy, and there's some nice bass from Mark, and the drum beat is awesome. Other favorites on here include "Skin", "Natural Life" (which features some cool basslines at the beginning as well as some great riffs and another great strong chorus), "Next to Nothing", "Home" (another strong heavy rocker which include references from the classic movie "The Wizard of Oz"), "Sugarcoat" and "Shallow Bay". The hidden track "Forever" is good as well. Oh yeah didn't I mention that this cd also contains an enhanced video for "Polyamorous", it's really cool. Please read on for my song ratings.

Overall, Breaking Benjamin's "Saturate" is an awesome debut album from these guys, and a great modern rock album that's just downright fun to listen to. I'll definately take these guys over stupid lifeless bubblegum pop sellouts such as Kelly Clarkson, Hillary Duff, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney Spears (whom which all make me sick) anyday of the week. So anyways, if you're a fan of Breaking Benjamin, then by all means you must own this album. I also recommend their other two albums "We Are Not Alone" and "Phobia" too. Enjoy!!

Well, I'll admit I'm a bit biased, since I started out listening to this as an album, not just Polyamorous on the radio, but I still think this is the best offering Breaking Benjamin have put out to date.

The production is not quite as polished as it would become on We Are Not Alone and Phobia, and the songs are rougher and less 'pretty' than many tracks on their newer albums. That said, the rawness gives this disc a kind of vitality that their new material is hard pressed to match.

I love all of Breaking Benjamin's material. In fact, I daresay they don't have a single song that I flat out dislike, but whether you are a fan of Phobia, a fan who has enjoyed all their radio singles, of even just a fan of modern rock, I'd strongly suggest that you pick this up.

I bought this at retail price, and I was a little dissapointed, I should have bought it used. So here's my 2 cents worth why.

I don't think this was a good starting point for the band, I think they could have done better (which in my opinion they did later on with (W.A.N.A, and Phobia) I think the only thing that shines here is the vocals, and sometimes he tries to sound like his influences a little to much. There were some really good riffs here like "Water" and "Shallow Bay". Over all the songs are catchy, but some of the melody lines,chord progressions, and lyrics could have been a little more tasteful.

Get this used at a good price!

It's a good album throughout with a few weaker songs, but it's their best album yet. Their style isn't very unique or original (Sevendust has been doing similar things for much longer, for example), but as a band they've improved a lot.

This is really a great album, the songs are getting better end better on each new project from Breaking Benjamin (BB). Anyway, my advice is to listen and buy all the other albums from this group - my favorite one nowadays. I recommend special attention to these songs: You, Evil Angel, Dance With The Devil, You Fight Me, Had Enough, and Breath. Also, it's a very good idea to pack the CD with a full BB live concert. Great!!!

I this re-release primarily for the DVD which contains Breaking Benjamin's concert at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at Stabler Arena.

The quality of the video is not up to par set by DVD's today (even if it's a standard and not HD quality). I would give it a 3 out of 5 because of the low lightning, unbalanced audio, and poor compression.

I'll give some leeway as the arena it was filmed in wasn't brightly lit, but what concert has super bright lighting?

Comparing it to other DVD concerts, it should have been a better audio/video presentation considering it was filmed by HDNet. I saw the same concert film that HDNet aired back in March 4, 2007 and the A/V quality was phenomenal. This was presented in HD at 1080i, so you would think the source material they had would have translated to a better DVD, but it did not.

There is also live feedback on a couple of songs during the video. Granted HDNet had no control over this, but a DVD release like this should have been tweaked to present a better presentation.

A/V issues aside it was a decent concert film. The vocals were a bit flat and in my opinion they didn't "hit" the songs as they did in the album. The playing of the instruments seemed suppressed as if they either weren't giving it their all or it was a technical limitation of the concert.

Obviously the Phobia CD is terrific which I give a full 5 stars!

breaking benjamin is a metal/rock band on the rise to stardom. the dvd captures their energy and talents live in concert. i was at that performance in feb. 2007. i still enjoy watching it over and over again.

Love their album phobia, breaking benjamin definantly records great music onto their albums. Most of the songs they have on their disc sounds incredible so I decide to check out the DVD that comes with the album. Perhaps it was that particular show I dont know.. but I must say that I expected more in their live performance on the DVD, but the DVD is good none the less.

This is a definite must have for any Breaking Benjamin fan! Yes there are only five songs on the album but 3 are versions not found on "We Are Not Alone" and the other two are not found on any of the other U.S. releases. This is a great addition if you want to complete your Breaking Benjamin collection. "Saturate", "We Are Not Alone", "So Cold EP", "Phobia" are all great albums!!!

Breaking Benjamin ever since "We Are Not alone" came out, has been my favorite band. With that being said, I have tried to get my hands on every bit of material they have come out with. So, this was with no exception on my list of things from them to purchase.

After receiving it and giving it a listen, I realized the material here isn't just for serious fans of Breaking Benjamin that are trying to get their hands on as much music from the band as possible. This is a wonderful blend of acoustics/live tracks, along with a couple other tracks that can't be found on any of their current full-length albums, such as "Blow Me away" from the Halo 2 Soundtrack.

All in all, this is a wonderful package. Some wonderful work is found here, and all fans new or old will enjoy it.

Breaking Benjamin are awesome, I love all of their stuff and this CD is no exception. The acoustic version of 'So Cold' is great as are the other 4 songs on the CD. If you are a fan of BB you should definitely find yourself a copy of this CD, you will not be disappointed.

The first 2 songs are great, but the last few are live so of course they don't sound as good. But I still love the band and the CD.

This is another one of those CD's that you happen to buy that has probably two decent songs on it and the rest is just not worht the effort. Is anyone is the music industry paying attention? This is why people only want to buy single songs now, because of records like this. These guys sound like Staind when they get in the "I am so serious and damaged that I have to write a song about it" frame of mind.

I bought this for my brother, and he loved it. He is a huge Breaking Benjamin fan, now owns all the CDs, and was not disappointed.

This cd contains no curse words and the scary part is, you can't tell. Personally, I enjoy cds that don't cantain profanity because it proves to me the writer/singer is smart enough and creative enough to make otherstuff up that sound ever better. this cd is a good representaion of that.

I got this cd from amazon the same day i had oral surgery, so i took a long bath and listened to this all the while [long enough to listen tot he cd 4 times]. so after listening to the cd so many times, I'll rate the songs, based on their replay value.


So Cold: 2/5 good the first time, but it gets old really fast. This cd does contain the music video, which is worth watching even if you don't like the song.

Simple Design: 5/5 after listening to this song countless times, It's still as good as the first time i listened to it.

Follow: 3/5 this is taverage. don't hate, dont love it.

Firefly: 5/5 This is a great song for those of you who've gone through a recent breakup. I wish the guitarist would've gotten a little more creative in the intro tho, but otherwise a very good song.

Break My Fall: 3/5 same as follow, dont hate it, dont love it.

Forget It: 3/5 the first time i listened to it, this was a really good song. by the third time, it was getting boring.

Sooner Or Later: 4/5 Exelent lyrics, exelent music, after listening to it 5 times, i just had no desire to listen to it for a few minutes... then i got the urge again.

Breakdown: 5/5 This is an awsome song to listen to again and again and again and again...

Away: 3/5 average

Believe: 4/5 Different from all the rest of the songs in my oppion, still good tho.

Rain: 5/5 For those of you who enjoy soft melodies on classical guitars, this is one for the record books, and proves my point again, hard rock music groups, play the BEST slow stuff.


For 14 bucks, this is not a bad cd to buy. In my opinion, one of the best edited cds ive ever heard [and ive heard quiet a few]. Surely this is alot better than most if not all of today's mainstream music who produces "bleeped" music. Finally we have a group who "SUBSTITUTES" the foul language with words that actually... are better and make sense!

I like this cd, I think I'll listen to it again.

It was a few weeks after I bought this CD that I realized it was not the original version of the album. Unlike, say, Eminem, Breaking Benjamin has put effort into making the edited version of "We Are Not Alone" sound every bit as good as the explisite version, if not better. Highly recommended! This has some awesome songs. The first song, So Cold, has been tearing up the radio recently, u've probably heard it. It has some powerful riffs, but it isn't the best song on the disc. From Simple Design to Forget It, the album gets steadily softer, shifting into a more ballad-esque style. The tone of the record really transforms at the other huge highlight, Breakdown, which is, if not heavy metal, then at least hard rock. Away and Believe follow similar patterns. The closer, Rain, is my least favorite song, but it's still worthwhile. I suggest buying the entire album (and for goodness' sakes, the clean version), but ill rate the individual tracks below if u want to download them from iTunes etcetera:

If u like this CD u will probably also like Breaking Benjamin's EP release "So Cold", which has live versions of So Cold (on acoustic), Away, and Believe, as well as a song from Halo 2 called Blow Me Away. And as a bonus, they threw in a song called Ladybug.

This has to be the coolest Cd I own, all the songs on here are excellently written and performed.If I could give it a higher rating I would. The better known songs on here are So Cold and Sooner or Later. Although their probably more popular the other songs are insanely awesome.

I'm not into alternative, even though this CD is done in an alternative style I still loved it. Every song on the CD is different than Queens but they still sound great. It was tons o fun trying to guess what would come next. had to take 1 star off - bicycle race was too much too take. Over all a must have for queen fans and alternative fans.

I came across this and was mildly skeptical about the offering. After all, I already owned a Queen tribute album called "Dragon Attack" which was an unexciting rawk n roll cover album of Queen covers by rock bands.

Other reasons for my skeptism: (a) Queen is a hard act to follow, let alone copy; (b) the musical "We Will Rock You" was underwhelming and (c) Tribute albums rarely deliver on their own and are a mixed bag.

So I was pleasantly surprised when this was really good. It certainly passes the music test. We didn't have every artist trying to do a note for note (although some artists like Constantine do); and some people were trying to do Queen their way, like Gavin DeGraw who renders a soulful We are the Champions. The results are a well produced and listenable album for those of you who can't get enough of Queen and need your fix today.

But why this really works I suspect is simply, the strength of Queen's songs. After all, who ELSE would be able to write such rich material for other artists to draw from? It would be hard to go wrong. The youthful energy of the artists is also key to the album's success. We don't have other aging or wanna be rockers trying to replicate Queen tracks.

So all in all, this is a nice compilation and tribute to the Queen. The modern nuances are there, but the feel remains classic.

Buy the album, the songs that are good are worth the price.

The only songs I can stand listening to on this album are Rooney's amazing "Death on Two Legs" and Sum 41's surprisingly good "Killer Queen."

Joss Stone's "Under Pressure" makes me sick.

Hardly the best Queen tribute album out there but some songs are worth listening... I might even dare to say that, in some cases, I enjoyed the cover versions more than the originals. Anyway, here's my 2 cents:

ONE STAR
We are the Champions, Under pressure
To me, the worst songs on the album. The whole soulish innuendos didn't do it to me. The chorus on 'Champions' is supposed to be inspiring, a tour de force if you will. Instead we get a poor, sluggish delivery and that just destroyed the whole vibe. As for, under pressure I skip it everytime it comes up; simply annoying.

TWO STARS
Sleeping on the sidewalk, Stone cold crazy
Didn't care too much for both these songs. Although the vibe on 'Sleeping' is entertaining at best, the song as a whole feels weak. 'Stone' should've been a no-brainer but instead these guys deliver a sluggish and boring version; the stripped the vibe of the original song!

THREE STARS
B.R. by Constantine, Good old fashioned lover boy
Watered down versions of the original songs and too much on the copy-paste side. They sould've taken more chances but it seems that they're lacking in the creativity department. Enjoyable at best.

FOUR STARS
Killer Queen: I was expecting a punk version or a major bomb but instead we get a reigned-in Sum 41. I liked the vibe and my only objection would be that the lack of pre-bends on the guitar solo.

'39: I liked this version better than the original and I think the production was right on the money. A nostalgic song with good vocal arrangements.

Play the game: Nice tune with some tweaks here and there. Didn't depart too much from the original. I liked the guitar-strummed parts at different parts of the song.

Death on two legs: These guys managed to capture the vibe of the original, cleaned it up and added a bit here and there for good measure. A cool song with the right delivery and attitude. Good work!

Tie your mother: A no-brainer vibe-wise and one of the most enjoyable songs of the album.

Crazy little thing called love: Ever wonder what this song would sound if The Cars covered it? Well, this song is not the best answer but there's a definite Cars vibe to it. It starts out slow but then picks up the pace. Thumbs up!

FIVE STARS
B.R. by Flaming Lips: Wow! I really liked the whole Strawberry-fields- forever-kinda-vibe and the arrangements as a whole. Makes the other coer version pale in comparison as far as arrangement and creativity goes. Amazing work!

Fat Bottomed girls: Excellent version! Arguably the best song on the whole album. These girls deliver a cheeky version with some folk vibes and take the song all the way home!

Who wants to live forever: This is a great example on how a cover should be done. These guys adapted the song to suit their style and a result we have a honest, bold and inspired tune. Excellent rendition!

UNDECIDED
Bycicle race: Hmmm... I don't know what to make of this one! It's either a bold, gutsy gem or a bomb. Quite a departure from the original and either the lyrics inspired them to play the cover this unkempt way or they were listening to a lot of Sonic Youth. Listen and decide!

Breaking Benjamin return with their third album "Phobia" and i must say it is their best yet. There are very few rock albums these days that can compare to this. Ben is an amazing vocalist who is also a very talented songwriter. There is no filler on this album, all top quality breaking benjamin tunes! GO BUY THIS CD IMMEDIATELY! you won't be disappointed!

This is an incredible album! There are not many rock CDs that simply blow me away because they are so good. This one did! My only complaint is that the censoring was done poorly, so I skip Topless (which is B-grade anway, so that was disappointing).

1. Intro - 10/10: Really cool intro to the album, very short, dark, and moody.
2. Diary Of Jane - 10/10: Awesome song! If I hadn't known about Breaking Benjamin before, this would have been the song that got me into them. Just like its predecessor on We Are Not Alone, So Cold, this is a very dark and dramatic song.
3. Breath - 10/10: Another absolutely stunning song!
4. You - 9/10: Another victory on Breaking Benjamin's march of success. Only problem is H-word in the chorus.
5. Evil Angel - 10/10: Nice and heavy riffs acompany this song, another solid track.
6. Until the End - 11/10: Awesome! One of Breaking Benjamin's better songs to date. This song runs longer than some of the others, and serves as this album's ballad which is pulled of very well. There is an F-word which is unsufficiently censored but easy mute.
7. Dance With the Devil - 10/10: Breathtaking song! Ben's vocals get really emotional in this one. It makes me think "Breaking Benjamin could go gothic metal if they wanted, and they'd be great!"
8. Topless - 4/10: This, sadly, is a B-grade song. And that, for Breaking Benjamin, is a huge disappointment. We Are Not Alone had two A-minuses, but no B's. This song is little more than a shell for Ben to yell "F--- me, f--- you!" in a lot. And the censoring is no help at all.
9. Here We Are - 10/10: This song is a relief from Topless. Another ballad beautifully sung by Ben and is another on opf the highlights of this album.
10. Unknown Soldier - 11/10: This may be the best on the album. To the best of my knowledge it doesn't have anything to do with Iraq (which is always a good thing). Awesome lyrics, awesome guitars, awesome song from and awesome group,
11. Had Enough - 9/10: In this song the lyrics get really angry ("..have you had enough? You greedy litte b-----d, you will get what you deserve!"), still really good despite the misused b-----d in the chorus.
12. You Fight Me - 10/10: Really good for the last track. Rounds off a solid release from Breaking Benjamin very well.
13. Outro - 10/10: Like Intro, really interesting. Follows the tone of the album very well. Short, no lyrics.

This album comepletely blew me away. It is perhaps one of the greatest achievements of rock/alternative metal out there. A great compliment to BB's previous release "We Are Not Alone" (get the edited version, it is flawlessly edited).

this cd is pretty good not quite as good as saturate but it still is till a good buy......i advise any new fans to pick up saturate thought that is the best one espically the song polyamerous
