I instantly became MORE of a Britney Spears fan and a supporter of Bush's New World Order...

I mean for a while I thought Bush was plotting a war for nothing LOL! But why would he do that? He's too nice of a guy to have millions of innocent people killed, billions spent on a useless war, and an ongoing war.

For good music and an intelligent politician.. support Britney Spears.

This is a cd that would be appreciated by the 20 something, club going crowd. If you're into partying and you've got a good buzz on...i could see how this cd would be right up your alley. it would get you pumped up before a night out...esp single girls. I guess when you're married with a a baby..its hard to relate to this kind of music. But...if I was tipsy..I know i'd love it. Its kind of got a Gwen Stefani vibe to it. A little techno and hip hop. Its not bad but, lyrics mentioning My Space and making out at clubs don't exactly pertain to me. I wouldn't even call it a good work out cd...her greatest hits is better for that. This is just hands down a good party cd...nothing more.

I would say this album was way over produced, I would rather hear the real Britney. Her sound is a whole lot better

I ordered this CD at amazon.com over 2 months ago. It never arrived. I got a refund. So I googled it to see where else I could find it. I bought at a ebay.com and received it recently. I gotta be honest with you. The standard version's alright. But it's not for me. I think the Japanese Version is a completed version. The original one runs 43:43. This one runs 60:45. I like all four of the bonus tracks. But my favorite is Get Back.

This CD is perfect. Britney explores a kind of eletro music which she has never explored before. Also, the name of the album defines it all: BLACKOUT is all about blocking the bad energies and let only the good ones make it through!

The CD kicks off with the amazing and very catchy "Gimme More", the opening single. We can hear a sexy Britney groaning and provocating shivers with this uptempo beat.
Next we have "Piece of Me", that won 3 moonmans in the 2008 VMAs for its video, including "Video of the Year" category! Very eletronic song and a real answer to the inconvenient paparazzis.
"Radar" is the forth and last single (radio single), produced by Bloodshy & Avant, one of the best of the album. Starts with a noise imitating a radar and talks about a guy who Britney can't forget and is gonna get anyway.
The third single, "Break the Ice", is the hottest and most energic, different from the other things she's done, even though as danceable as always.
Not as good as the Demo version but still great, "Heaven On Earth" is one of the only slow songs in "Blackout", about how perfect the loved person is. Very romantic one.
The most eletronic and dirty song, "Get Naked (I Got a Plan)" is a little bit repetitive, but good to dance in a party.
The rythm and beats of "Freakshow" are just incredible! A shame it wasn't a single... Such a waste!
In "Toy Soldier" the beats imitate a march, and it has all an army style. Good song, but ends when it's getting better!
The Demo was horrible but this final version rocks: "Hot as Ice" is amazing, awesome song! Here she claims that she is cold as fire and hot as ice, a living legend! It's true Britney, and we know it better now!
"Ooh Ooh Baby" is the BEST. Everyone I know loves this song and got it stuck in their heads for weeks. VERY catchy, sexy and outrageous.
The one which is not as good as the rest is "Perfect Lover". It is the only Britney song I don't like, by the way.
"Why Should I Be Sad" is the other slower, and I wished so much it would enter the album and it did! Besides, it fit perfectly to close it (in the american version). Fortunately, in this japanese edition, we still have "Outta This World", such a cute love song! It should have made it to the american version.
This could have been a success if well-worked: "Get Back". Should have been the first song, too. Its beats are great, definitely a must in the dance clubs.
"Everybody" was way better in the Demo, but interesting for sure.
This "Paul Oakenfold" is the best "Gimme More" Remix, so good that it comes to close this japanese version of the most awaited album by the QUEEN of pop: Britney Spears.

i bought this CD when it first came out and i listened to it so much that i actually put this on my wish list on here to buy a new copy when i can since i outplayed my first copy...anyone who puts down Britney Spears really has no business even reviewing her music CDs since if you hate her music then why did you buy her CDs in the first place?...this is a collection of her greatest hits as well as a couple of added new tracks...a lot of her songs speak to my soul and/or heart as well as some get my energy levels pumping...i love her music and cannot wait for her new CD of "Circus" to be released next month

Note to the Britney haters: there are forums and sites to voice your dissing of her or any other celebrity on the planet if you have the need to do that in your life but reviews is not the place for it!

Some really good songs from the Grammy winner Britney Spears latest cd, Her 'sister' Madonna should be Proud of her (also a Grammy winner, and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee). Britney Spears has sold millions of recordings according to Nielsen SoundScan, was a guest star on the most watched episode of the CBS/TV sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother' and has keep many tabloids in business - and now she is in a presumptive Presidential candidates ad!! - Did you know that Hillary Clinton earned more Votes than any Presidential Primary candidate in the History of America?

Please! Don't ever compare Britney to Madonna! She will never ever be half of what Madonna was... This is called a Greatest Hits album! And this is when I wonder... which hits?. She has only had 3 top ten hits so far... Most of the songs in this album didn't even make it into the top 20.

Now I guess you call a song a hit once it is either popular or has a deep impact on music!. But which song had such impact? Only hit me baby one more time.

If you call her sexy you should really define sexy, she has had an attractive image, which by the way has been the exact same image for almost a decade! Except for her bold days and wigs nowadays!

But she has always repeated the exact same formula trying to spice things up a little... But failing completely.

If you are a Britney fan this is for you, if you are not be cautious, don't buy this unless you enjoy at least 4 songs or more, otherwise this record will end up in some dusty box the day after you open it...

I enjoyed Britney's first two records, but I was 12 years old!!!!! Now I just play one or two of her songs once in a while, but the rest are lame.

She's the Lame Madonna of our decade, or a Lucky Cyndi Lauper of the new millenium, that if you take all the great ballads away from Cyndi, or if you take away all the brains and balls from Madonna's music.

Giving you a brief rundown of where I stand, I thought Ms. Spears 1st record "Baby One More Time" and her 2nd one "Oops I Did It Again" had some nice moments. My favorite one remains her 3rd one. ("Britney"). "In the Zone" was not my favorite, but it had some great moments. Ms. Spears did a fairly good job of putting her greatest songs together, as well as giving us some previously unreleased tracks. (This is not always the custom of 'Greatest Hit Records.') The previously unreleased 'My Prerogative' is a GREAT opener with a rocky edge. 'Toxic' keeps the energy of the record going. I don't much like 'Slave 4 U.' But the record recovers with 'Oops I Did It Again.' I didn't much care for 'Me Against the Music.' But 'Stronger' and 'Everytime' are alright. 'Baby One More Time' is a catchy song from her 1st record that keeps the pace up. 'Crazy' is redone and has a nice almost 80s sound to it. (I actually like this redone version of 'Crazy' better.) I didn't like 'Boys.' But 'Sometimes' is a nice pleasant song. 'Overprotected' has a nice rocky edge to it. 'Lucky' is not my favorite, but it is alright. 'Outrageous' has a different, but still really great energy to it. 'I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman' has a nice pleasant sound to it. Britney gives us other nice sounding unreleased tracks at the end. ('I've Just Begun Having My Fun' and 'Do Something.') While she included some songs from her previous records that I didn't care for, I still think it is a GREAT collection. I also think it was great that she made her great song 'Crazy' even better. It was also nice that she gave us the cool and previously unreleased 'My Prerogative.' Thanks for the great record Ms. Spears!

Good music. Grammy winner Britney Spears continues to deliver, from her Disney Mickey Mouse days to "Blackout" (which has sold about 900,000 copies in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan) Her recent appearance on the CBS/TV sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" was the most watched episode in the shows 3 year history (10.6 million viewers according to Nielsen Media Research) Britney Spears was recently featured in a Presidential hopefuls campaign ad -Britney Spears should do an ad herself and let the candidates know that it is Hillary Clinton who received more Votes than any Presidential candidate in history!

I love Britney and everything she has done. This CD is my favorite! This and her new one Blackout. She has an excellent voice and both this CD, Blackout and her Greatest hits albums have so much variety in the music. They are all on my mp3 player for school and workouts. They are very upbeat compared to her earlier work. Every song makes you want to dance... or if you cant dance (like me), it makes me work out harder... LOVE IT!!!

I thought "Britney" was an EXCELLENT record with only 2 weak spots. After her really great 3rd record, I was hoping this 4th one would be just as good or better. Well, sadly it wasn't. (At least I didn't think so.) However, that is not to say it didn't have some really great moments. 'Showdown' is certainly a song that has a catchy tone. 'Breathe On Me' is also different, but interesting. 'Toxic' is certainly a great song that takes an aspect of the human condition an reveals it for what it can be. (Passion is seldom based on reason, and in a sense can be toxic. Zeus' daughter Athena, the goddess of wisdom, remained a virgin so her sense of intellect and reason would not be clouded by passion. 'Outrageous' has a nice energy to it. 'Shadow' is a great song, and a strong contender for the best one on the record. So, while my favorite remains her excellent 3rd record, this 4th record by Ms. Spears certainly has some great moments.

I like the weirdest artists, but most often I like people who, regardless of ability or whatever, transcend themselves to make a good pop song. And that means Billie Holiday (who made bad songs into good ones) and glam rockers and whatever. And Britney holds her own, I think. You'll see.

"In the Zone" is Britney Spears at her absolute finest and without a doubt, toxic is the greatest single ever to grace the airwaves. No one is too cool, too old, too hot, too young, too smart, too dumb, too skanky, too prudish, too gullible, or too lame to listen to this mainstream masterpiece. People who give one-star reviews and say turn off the radio and listen to "good music" are pretentious fools who want to inflict their cynical beliefs onto everyone else because they are depressed from listening to Elliot Smith and Wilco. I'm In the Zone - Are you?

Britney spears has it all. Great singing, lyrics with pure emotion and meaning, and a great backup band. She started probably one of the best eras in the music industry. She definitely sings better than any of those old beer guzzling junkie hippie females like Janis Joplin, Blondie, and that horrible Fleetwood Mac band!

The reason I give CD only four stars is because I spent over $10,000 on Britney Merchandise, concert tickets, CDs, t-shirts, and 'I'm gonna marry Britney Spears' Bumperstickers... and what ended up happening? Jessica Simpson became popular and I found myself a NEW talented Idol.

All an all a very important album in history and helped pave the way for more talented acts like Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, and Hillary Duff.

No musical qualities. No frantic kick drum, no guitar solo, No jazzy song structers, cheezy lyrics and no musical or lyrical substance. I hope every jazz, metal, blues and rock band come to her house and pop a squat right over her face and let loose. She is human garbage to be destroyed. This cd disgusts me. If this is what makes it to the charts then I can understand why other countries hate us. America has crappy taste in music. From christina agaiulara or however it is spelled to little wayne, they all prove my point. Most pop music sucks.

Pop music in the late 1990's needed a serious shot in the arm. (Actually, it had needed one at least since the 1960's, when the era of the golden oldies gave way the explosion of rock and roll, the last gasp of a dying culture. But considering how insipid America had become as the baby boomer generation aged without maturing, we ought to forget the nearly total and irreversible decline in standards over the course of four decades and just take contemporary music for what it is.) Savage Garden was over in a flash (and never all that great) and the Backstreet Boys were just too sticky. Enter, then, the Mickey Mousekateers class of 1995: for a time, it looked like they might revive the fizzling genre.

Britney Spears's first album certainly showed potential, even if her voice was untrained and low-range and the songs were somewhat lacking in substance lyrically and musically. At heart, however, most of the tracks on ... Baby One More Time were more fun and fluff than overly sentimental, and that is the essence of pop: just let loose and have fun. To this end "(You Drive Me) Crazy" stands out as the best song of the album, and the "Stop" remix later released was even better. "Sometimes" and "I Will Be There," though slower, also accomplishes its mission, as does the somewhat naughtier title track.

Unfortunately, the chorus lyrics, "Hit me, baby, one more time" are more than a naughty peccadillo: they are a harbinger for the entire course of Spears's musical career, as well as those of her fellow Mousekateers, particularly Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera. It would be foolish, as some do, to blame Spears single-handedly or even the Mousekateers as a whole for luring small children prematurely into the universe of the makeup monster teenyboppers--Barbie dolls and Disney Princesses, combined with increasingly absent and indulgent parents, had long been working away at them--but neither should one underestimate her substantial role as a symbol of the vicious cycle that has led to girls trying on deforming high heels many years before their feet have finished growing.

To be sure, Spears is almost certainly as much a victim of bad role models as she is one herself, lending credibility to the notion that abused children often turn out just like their parents. In later albums, Spears took on songwriting herself, injecting an increasing amount of suburban angst into her lyrics, desperate to show she had matured by aping the scandalous behavior of Madonna Ciccone and the highly sexualized melodramatic frankness of Aguilera's music. For their part, neither Ciccone nor Aguilera has ever done anything more original than to capitalize on an ever more cynical public's demand for ever more cynical public displays of excess, and in copying already unoriginal role models, Spears gave herself out to be a woman without substance. We may never know if that is truly the case.

Thus it was that any potential in her first album for Britney Spears to lead a new dawn for pop music, however slight, crumbled with each new release before finally vanishing altogether. In this she was not alone: the most popular songs of the up and coming generation appear to be of the even more degenerate R&B genre. Spears is nevertheless an interesting case study as the epitome of a young generation relinquishing its energy and potential for materialistic excess and, ultimately, an orgy of filth and cynicism. There is obviously much better (mostly older) music you could be listening to with your time; regardless, ... Baby One More Time is an excellent museum exhibit to all the awesome but unsustainable life and power built up by the end of the 1990's that would inevitably come tumbling down as the new millennium broke in. Enjoy.

This is Britney's best album, in my oppinion. That's not a compliment. It's a few catchy upbeat tracks mixed with some seemingly heartfelt yet corny ballads. While I admit myself it's cute & silly to listen to...it's hardly at all a work of art. I wonder just how many old perverts bought this album just to look through the picture booklet...lol. With that said, I can only compliment Britney's naturally gorgeous face and her high-pumped, contagious energy. It's a great album to own if you're just having a spontaneously crazy day and want to enjoy some innocent fun! I play it often. hahaha. XD I like to reflect on Britney's older days. Sure, it's not exactly what I'd call "talent" because it completely betrays her true voice that actually has quality about it unlike this synthesized distortion; it's still ALOT better than what the American music industry has to offer today. At least music then had more dignity. Even with everything Britney is going through now amd all the critism she's gotten over the years, I'd still pick up this CD anyday over more recent releases.

If you are reading this, you are probably aware that Britney has been the subject of much negative news footage. I was probably just as guilty as the next guy of disliking her for this. But the truth is, many pop stars do find themselves in some bad spots, and Britney deserves to be recognized for what she can do. The truth of the matter is that some of Britney's stuff is pretty good (despite the news that surrounds her). Whatever goes on in her personal life does not change the fact that some of her music is actually pretty good. The title track 'Baby One More Time' has a nice sound to it, and 'Crazy' has an almost hard rock edge to it. While I feel 'Crazy' is the high point of the record, the rest of the record has a nice pleasant sound to it. 'Sometimes' is also especially nice. I feel later records like "Britney" and "In the Zone" showed stronger work and effort, but this record "Baby One More Time" was a nice 1st record.

Who needs manufactured chick singers like Nico, Patti Smith or PJ Harvey when you have a REAL singer like Ms.Spears? It's obvious that the first three I mentioned have been using computers to enhance their voices, while Britney has raw talent! She can belt out a tune like no other with true grit. You really feel like she's singing just for you. 5 stars, bravo, Ms.Spears! You've outdone yourself.

This is the best Britney has ever done. But her 3rd album would be the last time she worked with Max Martin who is the producer in charge of making her a HUGE SUPER STAR!!! I guess you turn your back on the one that made you famous so you can be considered a mature artist and work with awful producers so you can release uninspired songs. If thats the case everything after your 3rd album is a mess. But i shouldnt be so harsh. This truly is Britneys best album. Its one Max Martin original after the next. Total pleasure to the ears.

Giving you a brief rundown of where I stand, I think Britney's 3rd record ("Britney") is her best. I did enjoy her 4th record ("In the Zone"), but not as much as "Britney." I enjoyed some parts of her first record "Baby One More Time." I place "Oops...I Did It Again" somewhere between her 1st record, and her excellent 3rd record. The 1st star goes to the title track 'Oops! I Did It Again.' That is a nice opener to the record. The 2nd star goes to 'What U See Is What U Get.' That has a nice edge to it. (Be happy with who you are, and don't try to change everything about yourself to please someone else. The 3rd star goes to "Can't Make You Love Me." This song has a catchy, and almost hard rock edge to it. Other parts of the record are listenable, but I can't quite say they stand out as much as the 3 tracks I have mentioned. While later records such as the excellent "Britney," showed stronger efforts, this 2nd record of hers has some really good moments.

Britney Spears second release, "Oops!...I Did It Again" struck accord with the year 2000 generation and will go down in history to be a classic album. 'Oops!' is full of catchy pop tunes about love, loss, fun, and for really the first time Spear's take on modern life (as witnessed in the tracks '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' and 'Lucky.)

1. Oops!...I Did It Again - This was the leading single and by far one of the best songs on this album. The song has one of the most successful 'stuck in your head' choruses of all time as well as a modern beat and hip lyrics that all teens (even adults) can relate to.

2. Stronger - Another hit single about a cheating partner and the singer's ability to move on because she is 'stronger than yesterday'.

3. Don't Go Knockin' On My Door - A catchy tune warning an ex to not come around anymore.

4. (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction - A remake of the classic Rolling Stones tune, with a few tweaks to make it a female version. Spears sings about the pressure from the world to try and create people into what they aren't for the sake of being popular.

5. Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know - The final single from 'Oops!' tells a lover to be open and communicate their love for the singer instead of telling others how they feel.

6. What U See (Is What U Get) - A great tune about not letting your boyfriend/girlfriend control you and the way you live. Very catchy and fun to move along to!

7. Lucky - Very successful single. 'Lucky' is about a Hollywood starlet who has everything but love. A song that deals with the false belief that money and fame bring happiness.

8. One Kiss From You - A tween love song about a special someone giving strength and hope with one kiss.

9. Where Are You Know - A song about longing, wanting, and moving on after a relationship ends.

10. Can't Make You Love Me - A rocky tune about how you can never make another person love you no matter how hard you try.

11. When Your Eyes Say It - A ballad about how a lover's eyes express their love and devotion more than words.

12. Dear Diary - A very simple tune about a girl's crush and hope to be forever with that 'boy'.

"Oops!...I Did It Again" is a great CD for adults and teens to enjoy together or apart. Britney Spears really showed her musical ability on this release.

It's rare for me to like any of her songs without them being remixed club versions but with this one, I had to buy it. Very catchy, easy to remember, and most importantly, if you take out her voice, the song holds up well.

Britney Spears bounces back big time with this lead single from her upcoming album "Circus". Essentially a dance track with a repetitive chorus, the track is instantly contagious and had me bouncing in my chair at the first listen.

Granted it's no deep, philosophical song, and just as it says, it's about a cheating guy, but it's so bouncy, fun and reminiscent of "Toxic", that you just gotta love it.

The song puts her husky vocals to good use, and she'll have you singing along on the catchy chorus in no time flat.

This song has a faster beat then Britney's black out album, the pattern is a harsher unhappy dance version of "happy together" from the Turtles. It has a hot intro, a strong back beat, and I enjoy most of the song, but some of the song hurts my ears. The best part is in the middle of the song where she says "lollypop" but nothing else in the song is rememberable other then the repeated "womanizer" which is the part that hurts my ears.

Womanizer is Britney Spears' newest single from her upcoming sixth studio album, "Circus".

It should be noted that this single is not "groundbreaking". For that matter, Most pop singles are not. The biggest changes on Womanizer, are a faster pace, and a vocal line without HUGE manipulation It's catchy, sing-songy, and has your trademark ooh and ahh in the right places. Being that this is a dance track, there has to be a tiny level of throwaway quality to it. Hence, the monotone vocal says that a bit.

It's an intermediate level pop single with just enough buzz to get the masses talking. I think it accomplishes that goal all too easily. And the re-mixers will eat this song alive.

i hold a speacial place in my heart for brit, lets get this song to # 1

This cd is awesome. The music is great and my kids
love the songs. When we are driving down the road
"I hear can you turn it up mom or can you play that
song again?" It has been hours of entertainment for
the family. We enjoy all the Now That's What I Call
Music cds. We have the whole collection accept for
Now 11 we still need that one. If you have not
listened to Now CD's you don't know what you are
missing. You should realy try it. Keep the kids
entertained.

Backstreet Boys - Larger Than Life: This was a great song to dance too at the club when it came out. A

Britney Spears - (You Drive Me) Crazy: This is my favorite Britney song of all time. Not only is the beat great but it makes me want to sing along. A+

Marc Anthony - I Need To Know: No I don't need to know and this song is just awful I always skip it when I listen to this cd. F-

Mandy Moore - Candy: Great song and great singer. I always did like Mandy Moore's music. A

Eiffel 65 - Blue: This song was awesome; that is all I can say. I loved the song and the music video. This is one of the best songs on the cd. A+

Sonique - It Feels So Good: It depends on my mood with this song. I like the singer but this song was overplayed. C

Lenny Kravitz - I Belong To You: This wasn't one of Lenny's best songs and this song was 2 years old at the time this was released but it is catchy none-the-less. B

Savage Garden - I Knew I Loved You: I liked this song; I danced to it at my wedding reception. It is very romantic. B+

Joe - I Wanna Know: Like the previous song, this is another romantic song that brings back memories. A-

Aaliyah - Try Again: I miss Aaliyah; this was a woman who could sing and the songs were meaningful. I loved this song and I do refer to it from time to time when I am talking with friends. A+

Jennifer Lopez - Waiting For Tonight: This was a good hit for Jennifer. I have to admit the music video was better. B

Montell Jordan - Get It On Tonite: Please don't get it on tonite, this was the second song I didn't like on this cd. Even the music sounded bad. F

Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals - Steal My Kisses: An average song, have no complaints. C

Smash Mouth - Then The Morning Comes: This was another great hit off of their cd. It is catchy and plain addictive. A+

Train - Meet Virginia: I am not a big fan of Train but I did like this song. I liked it the first time I heard it. A-

Macy Gray - I Try: This is the one of two songs I liked by Macy Gray. It is a shame she went downhill after this cd but I still like this song. A

Hanson - This Time Around: I have no comment on this song. Hanson should have given up with the cd previous to this. They don't deserve an F they deserve a Z-

blink-182 - All The Small Things: This was a great song. The beat and the way it went was good enough to buy the cd. A

A step up indeed was Vol. 4 in the Now! series, for with this contribution we recieve almost an entire album of quality songs with very few 'skipable' tracks. Sadly, the first track is 'skipable'. The Backstreet Boys offered some very decent tracks on their sophmore album, but the single 'Larger than Life' was not one of them. It's regurgitating pop/shlop at it's worst and should be avoided at all costs. And to think they had so many good tracks on that one CD alone. Britney serves up a great pop song with Crazy, although the 'Stop' remix for the film was better. Marc Anthony has never been my favortie latin artist, but I have always loved 'I Need to Know' so despite my distaste for Anthony himself, I don't skip this track.

Superstar Mandy Moore, who at this day and age is better known for her acting than her singing, serves up her debut single 'Candy' here and shows us that pretty face aside this girl can sing too. Out of all the pop queen diva's, next to Christina of course, Mandy has the purist voice, deffinatly surpassing Britney and that 'shoot myself if I ever have to hear her sing another song' Jessica Simpson.

There are some questionmarks here and they come in the form of Eiffel 65 and Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, both of which turn out tracks here that are less than impressive. I never was a far on 'Blue' and until this disc had never heard of 'Steal KIsses' but neither track makes me want to listen. I label these 'Skipable'...

I actually like 'It Feels So Good' mostly becasue it's not average and while it takes a little getitng used to it's still worth the listen. Finally a Lenny Kravitz song I like!!! 'I Belong to You' is a great song and it really showcases Kravitz talent, talent I wasn't privy to until this song. Savage Garden was big with a lot of my girlfriends at the time (both platonic and romantic) and 'I Knew I Loved You' was truly one of the best...plus I have a special place in my heart for that track (some naughty things happened while that track was pumpin').

Some strong tracks by the late Aaliyah (RIP) and a killer track by Montel (love this guy) help round out this album, making it more about the music than any particular genre. And yes J. Lo delivers with 'Waiting for Tonight' which is one of the best dance songs out there, and while some hated it I absolutly loved Trains 'Meet Virginia' for it was our first chance to meet Trian and they are truly one great band. Even Macy is forgivable here for she adds something to this album that no other artist could have...and that's an air of toleration. Notice I didn't list her with the 'sucky' songs for even though I'm not a huge fan of her or 'I Try' I've always respected her talent for what it was even if I just didn't quite get it.

Blink closes us out with yet another great song, though a bit overplayed...but it's Blink and you have to love them. Great collection of the best the year had to offer. Yes some were missed, some great and some not so, but what was shared was still memerable and well worth the storage space.

This cd was never received by the person I sent it to, Neil Lilliedoll at 24439 Fairway Dr., Davis, CA 95616. I did pay the VISA bill before I realized this. I didn't know how to complain to Amazon because I didn't have my order number. I just looked it up & it was sent so I don't know what happened to it. B. Peck

Now 6 is definetely the best CD in the Now series yet! I love it! Most of the songs are really good. I love ATC's "Around The World", as well as K-Ci & JoJo's "Crazy" because they have great lyrics and music. I also like Jennifer Lopez's song,, as well as Coldplay's and Destiny's Child's "Independent Women Part I", which is really good. Samantha Mumba absolutely has potential, and I really like Incubus' "Drive", because I love the lyrics a lot. But my 3 favorite songs are as follows: 3) Fuel's "Hemorrhage (In My Hands), because the lyrics rock as does the music. 2) 3LW's "No More" because it is just a great song! But number 1 is Crazy For This Girl by Evan and Jaron, because it has awesome lyrics, awesome music, an awesome beat, and Evan and Jaron have got GREAT singing voices!
But there's a downside...'NSYNC's song, even if it's good, is VERY old (1 year and 2 months old when this C.D. was released!), some might find Shaggy's song inappropriate (but I still like it), and I HATE Creed's "With Arms Wide Open", mainly because of bad lyrics, scratchy voices, and horrid music! All the other songs not mentioned here are good.

Still, the upside makes up for the downside very well, and it's a great album for the pop listener, and I highly recommend this.

I purchased Now 6 in October of 2001. I was bored and needed to find my taste in music...now 5 years later and wiser. I've decided to give the run down on each song.

1.Britney Spears-Stronger: I've seen the video for this....it's hookable but doesn't cut it for me..Too popish and repeatitive. She can sing but she put too much in it. Using tech equipment and thunder. Girls who like her or there mom's might go for it lol 3/10

2.Samantha Mumba-Gotta Tell You: When i first heard this song i liked the lyrics. The video made sense also. It's still pop but not popish as stronger. It falls into pop and romantic. Sure I'll let it play. 5/10

3.*NSYNC-Bye Bye Bye: Terrible! Need I say more? So annoying Not surprised one of the member's is gay. 0/10

4.ATC-Around The World(La La la La La): Man...i so can smell sell out..only thing good about it is the beat. This is the type of techno i won't fall for. The lyrics don't even make sense Skip! or maybe i knew where it was on the cd scratch! 0/10

5.Jennifer Lopez-Love Don't Cost a Thing: Ok it's better but can get annoying...they played this song alot for the movie the wedding planner go figure. She sings of how love isn't about money and be loved for free. If she didn't add in of the gangsta style I might have gone for it more. 4/10

6.Destiny's Child-Independant Woman Part 1: Sucks! Sell out for the movie Charlie's Angel's I think they were bored and saw money on the table when they were writing this song 0/10

7.Shaggy-It Wasn't Me: Good music. Good lyrics. Enjoyable. Except the other guy singing like he's from jamaica. 6/10

8.3LW-No More(Baby I'ma Do Right): When this came out. Girls Sing to this song....maybe i'm missing something but it's not for me. They hide there voices from the equilizer. Doesn't cut it for me. And plus I have different thoughts about the lyrics. The lyrics cover for the guys who can get girls just like that. And for the easy girls who sing about guys who are not faithful. Just break up! lol 2/10

9.K-Ci & JoJo- Crazy: I usually skip this song and hardly give it alot of listening. It's ok for when your at school dance and want to have a slow dance with a girl you have a crush on.Too much of the equalizer for the voices. Sure I'll give it a listen. 5/10

10.R. Kelly-I Wish: Sucks because he has the kids go I wish I wish every 15 seconds. Other then that it doesn't give any feeling for me. Gets better after the first two minutes. Lyrics are not bad. I've skipped this track and haven't given it much listening until now. 5/10

11.Backstreet Boys-Shape of My Heart: Good Song. I didn't want to have it played on the radio but they did. I'm not a fan of the Backstreet Boys I'm not much of a boy band listener. But this song is good. Good lyrics. Good music. Surprises me. 7/10

12.Evan and Jaron-Crazy For This Girl: Good Song just as good as track 11. It gives you a feel of a montana dude living in the city and falling for a girl who lives in the next building. He sings of a girl he loves and wonders if she knows or not. The main chorus "Would you look at her she looks at me she's got me thinking about her constantly. but she don't know how i feel. and she carry's on without a doubt. i wonder if she's figured it out that i'm crazy for this girl...i'm crazy for this girl." That's part of the song. Awesome lyrics. Hats off 8/10

13.Coldplay-Yellow: Good Song. I sometimes skip..sometimes play..depends on the mood. Not bad lyrics 7/10

14.Lenny Kravitz-Again: Not bad...same thing as yellow sometimes skip sometimes play. he wonders of seeing this girl again and how he can win with her. 6/10

15.Fuel-Hemorrhage(In My Hands): Perfect Song. I've replayed this song a couple of times. Great song. Surprised i never heard it on the radio....radio has weird taste. 9/10

16.Creed-With Arms Wide Open: Good song but I think differently of the band now then 5 years ago. They broke up due to contract issues....smell's like sell out attitude. Anyway. Good song I still like and still will play...at least better then replaying my sacriface on the radio a billion times during 2001 and 2002.Which is another sign of sellout. Still good song. 9/10

17.Incubus-Drive: Good song for when i'm driving. 9/10

18.U2-Beautiful Day: They played this song in the movie "Bandits" with Bruce Willis. Not bad...but not my favorite now as when it was released. 7/10

19.Everclear-Am Radio: It's ok my friends liked it. I don't know what everclear was doing. Were they singing or giving us a history lesson...I'm all set...end cd 3/10.

In concluding this long review. I hope it gives you future buyers help to decide to buy it or not. In my opinion I think it's just better to download the songs you think you might like or pick up the album itself of the artists. I don't know I feel i shouldn't have bought it now five years later. I should of gotten to know how to download more or buy the artist's album itself. I was 13 and had no taste in music. I've noticed the last half of the cd was starting to skip...possibly since i gave it alot of playing then the first half. In end I give the cd an average 3 stars.

Everclear gives us pop and Backstreet doesn't suck...it's all here on the next in the 'Now!' series, yet another album full of songs you've already heard 100 times and yet for some reason decided to subject yourself again. Yes, it's true no matter what you say, that this is as guilty a pleasure as they come, for you're buying an album full of the same songs that, had they come on the radio, you'd turn off in a heartbeat with most likely a disgusted face and a remark like "not this crap again" or "I just heard this song."

Fast forward to now. Today you buy this album, or if you already own it you put it in your CD player and you enjoy yourself because these are no longer the songs you hate to hear but the songs you long to hear for they remind you of your yesteryears...and that's why the 'Now!' series is so entertaining...because while it may not have seemed it in 1999, this album has staying power.

So this time Britney starts things off, and while 'Stronger' isn't by any means a 'strong' song it's not as horrid as 'Lucky' was and is a decent listen. Samantha Mumba, another one hit wonder, offers us a taste of something good on 'Gotta Tell You' and of course N'Sync rock with 'Bye Bye Bye' which, I don't care who you are you have to love!

There are some blah tracks like ATC's 'Around the World' and the horrid Destiny's Child 'Independant Woman Pt. 1' but their made up for by Shaggy's 'It Wasn't Me' and R. Kelly's 'I Wish'. I'm also a huge 3LW fan and just love 'No More' while I could live without 'Love Don't Cost a Thing' while it doesn't make me skip the track. K-Ci & JoJo make a comeback with the 'Save the Last Dance' anthum 'Crazy' and they score...I mean as much as I try to hate this song I just can't (maybe cuz I love the movie so much).

As I mentioned, Backstreet doesn't suck here. I actually enjoy 'Shape of my Heart'...so sue me.

The rock here is a decent mix, Kravitz resurfacing AGAIN with 'Again' and it's a great song. I can't hate it or diss it in anyway, I've always loved it and always will. Not a huge fan of 'Yellow' as much as I love Coldplay, I just never really cared for that song. Fuel and Incubus are great if not...played out, and Creed is Creed although 'With Arms Wide Open' while huge in it's own respects does nothing for the band really. I don't mind 'AM Radio' I just don't like it. It's too poppy even for Everclear and that upsets me. Other than that the only bone I have to pick with the Now! people is that fact that they really need to mix these better instead of having all the rock at the end, they need to intergrate the genre's. That way we can get everything all at once!

I just love the NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC! series. The NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC! series are nothing more and nothing less than CD's with a bunch of hit songs on them. It's great for people who only like certain songs and don't feel like wasting money on a whole album when you're looking for only one or two songs from certain artists. It also lets you carry around less CDs so you do not have to carry around your entire CD collection wherever you go! Here's the list of tracks and what I think of them:

"Stronger" Britney Spears - - this is Britney's best song, after "(You Drive Me) Crazy". This song even sounds a bit like "Crazy". [5/5 stars]

"Gotta Tell You" Samantha Mumba - - this is a really cool song! It's a great uptempo, dance song. Samantha Mumba is a great artist with an awesome voice! [5/5 stars]

"Bye Bye Bye" *N SYNC - - blah! This is just about the most annoying track on this whole compilation. [0/5 stars]

"Around The World (La La La La La)" ATC - - this is a great dance song! I love the beat and lyrics. ATC's vocals are pretty good, too. Now this is a REAL dance song! [5/5 stars]

"Love Don't Cost A Thing" Jennifer Lopez - - I just love J.Lo's music and I think she's a great role model. This song is wonderful and one of my favorites on this whole compilation. [5/5 stars]

"Independent Women [Prt. 1]" Destiny's Child - - amazing song. Though it's old now, it's still one of my favorites from Destiny's Child. [5/5 stars]

"It Wasn't Me" Shaggy - - I just love this song. Though I didn't like how they edited the song on this CD...the original version is so much better. But all in all, a fantastic song! [5/5 stars]

"No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)" 3LW - - well, okay, I guess. Definitely not my favorite track, though. I like the song...I just don't like 3LW - they sound like a bunch of whiny babies! [3/5 stars]

"Crazy" K-Ci & Jojo - - good song. It's a sweet ballad. I like the lyrics and K-Ci & Jojo's vocals are pretty good. [4/5 stars]

"I Wish" R. Kelly - - pretty okay. Though really not one of my favorites. [3/5 stars]

"Shape Of My Heart" Backstreet Boys - - definitely the best track on this entire CD! I'm a huge fan of the BSB and their music rocks! This is an awesome song...never gets boring or old! [10/5 stars]

"Crazy For This Girl" Evan & Jaron - - this is a wicked cool song. I just love it. Evan & Jaron's vocals are awesome and the lyrics are great with a cool beat. [5/5 stars]

"Yellow" Coldplay - - well, not the best song. But it's still pretty listenable. This is more of a hard-core Rock song. Great song. [4/5 stars]

"Again" Lenny Kravitz - - this is Lenny Kravitz's best song! I think this is a totally awesome song. Definitely worth a listen or two. [5/5 stars]

"With Arms Wide Open" Creed - - I absolutely hate this song! It ties with *N SYNC's song on my list as being the two worst songs on this entire CD. Definetely skip over this track! [0/5 stars]

"Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" Fuel - - pretty good song. This is definitely better than Creed's song. Cool. [4/5 stars]

"Drive" Incubus - - I'm surprised that I actually love this song. It's a wicked awesome song - even though it's rock - and definitely cool. [5/5 stars]

"Beautiful Day" U2 - - once again, another okay song. This is one of the few worth-while U2 songs. And only because it won a Grammy for Song of the Year. [3/5 stars]

"A.M. Radio" Everclear - - not too great. I liked the Everclear song that was on the NOW 5 CD a lot better than this one. I'm not really a huge Everclear fan, anyways. [1/5 stars]

So as you can tell, for the most part, this is an excellent CD compilation. It is still great to listen to and enjoy. It's a guilty pleasure CD.

This CD is a great, 19-track CD with a cool mix of Pop, R&B, and Rock songs. Definitely a must-have.

ok, I don't care much for the nsync, britney, and destiny's child tracks, as i dont care for them at all. ATC's "all around the world" is probably by far my favorite track. Theyre one of my favorite artists, and if you enjoyed that song, you'll prolly like their album "planet pop"!
