I usually don't write reviews, but when I heard this album, I just had to have it. I do a lot of traveling and this album is my favorite for any road, train, bus or airplane trip. It really kicks buttox!!! It's blend of Mediteranian music is beautiful...I can't wait to get his long overdue next album. I have to travel really light, and this album had literally been around the world. It is one of my limited twenty music cd's I pack on my extended backpacking trips in Thailand, Burma (Mayanmar), Australia, Spain, and the many other distant parts of the globe. I share this music with a lot of people in many countries, and I just love the smiles on the peoples faces. Everyone wants a copy!!! I wish I knew of other musicians of his caliber of the "International" genre. Every tract on this CD is great!!! It's no Nomad, but the gypsy flavor is strongly apparent in this enjoyable CD. again, he's no Jesse Cook, and no Gypsy King either, but it is flavorful and catchy. i'd give it a three for replayabilty, but a one on favoritisim.

I have been a fan of Jesse Cook but after listening to Eric Fernandez's cd, he's beaten Jese Cook's new Nomad CD by a long shot!

This album is simply brilliant!!!! Each song is very unique, and the blends of different genres of musical styles is simply phenomenal!!! Bravo, Eric!!! Please, please come out with another album!!!! I bought this album simply on a whim in a Colorado airport after vacationing in Tucson, Arizona. It's one of the best albums I own! Its music is exquisitely sensual - makes your spirit want to come alive!!!!

I love this music! When I first heard it, I thought it was Gypsy Kings. Close your eyes and listen to how beautiful each piece is.
Every cut is just as good as the one before. I highly recommend this CD. I hope Eric comes out with something else soon.

I bought this album at Best Buy years ago because of the interesting art on the cover. I popped it in the CD player and was entranced by the sound, the beauty of the pieces. As a guitarist, I was awed by the technical fluency and Craig's ability to create whispers and storms on his instrument. This is a wonderful introduction to a guitarist or music-lover to Spanish and South American pieces of elegance and wonder.

This showed up in my Amazon recommendations list. Although I had never heard of Craig Alden Dell, I gave it a shot and am very glad I did!

His credentials are impeccable. According to the liner notes: "Craig Alden Dell, a 35 year veteran of the guitar has studied and performed in the styles of Classical, Flamenco, and Impressionistic, as well as Folk, Ethnic and Progressive guitar. Having studied formally in the Terrega School he is a graduate of the Escuela Razonada de la Guitarra at the University of Barcelona, under the direction of Maestro Emilio Pujol and his assistant, Hector Garcia. In the Classic style he also studies guitar from Christopher Parkening and received personal career guidance from Maestro Segovia on an occasion to have met with him in the late sixties. Craig studied flamenco guitar from El Saraste and has also performed for and studied technique from the legendary Sabicas."

The CD contains some brilliant performances of classical Latin guitar pieces that you don't find in every collection.

way back in the era of "love" came along someone who really preached what it was all about:as in when you had the open happy fields of the south with Sweet Blindness (as in the happiness one feels with a swift drink which you will not tell anyone what you've been a drinkin' (Jack Daniels, come to think of it)-lots of love, possible; the tracks and cracks and open wounds of possibly crack cocaine in Poverty Train and the thought of a starving feeling (before the time of March of Dimes or was it always there?);or as in lonely women who strive for tomorrow without a hint of love in Lonely Women, perhaps a paen to the abortion process; the driven bravado of the lover who leaves all behind him in Eli's Coming (am I right or wrong); the great happy time of Stoned Soul Picnic, if ever a self-titled tune (come back Jack Daniels and surry on south or whereever:; an illegitimate child perhaps in the Jesus song of December's Boudoir; and the most truly scintillating woman to woman love song of tenderness and more from early youth to life ending belief of a love so true in Emmie, possibly the best love song of all time with it's lows and crescendos and highs and deeply felt poetic luxury. A sure five star winner and an all time great. A great chaser with Jack Daniels. Laurence.

This compilation does not contain titles of real hit movies. It contains mostly sentimental or comic songs from old movies and even from the ones I managed to recognise only a handful were original. It struck me hard to find "Enae Volare" from "Les Visiteurs", the only title I ordered this compilation for, terribly altered but that might concern me alone. Finding "What a Feeling" from "Flashdance" similarly altered made me wonder... later, on the back of the box, I found a small note saying, as I could decrypt from French, that the songs in the album were not necessary original. I should've been warned about this in advance!
