C'mon, admit it - who doesn't love Percy Faith's music during the Holidays? Even 50 years after their initial relesases, his albums are still played on Top 40, Adult Contemporary and Oldies stations every year.

That said, if you're one of the purists that have his first two albums (Music of Christmas Vols. 1 and 2), be forewarned: this is NOT your typical Percy Faith album; the style is a little more 'mod' and the arrangements bigger than you're used to. However, the title track still stands above the pack as a modern-day classic.

Still, it's a must-have for your Christmas collection...after all, it IS Percy Faith!

Thanks for having a very hard to find product. The memories of childhood roll back as I listen. Christmas Is, the soundtrack to my adolescent Xmas time. Used to sing in a Madrigal Choir in Iowa. Mr Schneider wherever you are I hope you are doing well.

I like anything by Percy Faith, especially his Christmas albums. When I saw this was available, I jumped at the chance to purchase it. It definitely lived up to my expectations!

This has been a family favorite since I can remember. We grew up listening to this on an original reel-to-reel recording. Timeless Christmas classics that take you back and make anywhere you play it during the holidays, feel like home. Includes songs such as Little Drummer Boy, Silver Bells and It's Cold Outside. It doesn't get more Christmas than this. A must have for your holiday music collection.

This has always been my favorite Christmas album. Actually this is my second one of these. I keep a copy in my car and one in the house. I really feel the spirit of Christmas when I listen to this one.

Over the years Faith Evans has become one of my favorite young r&b singers. There is a smoothness to her vocals that others her age & younger lack. This is the cd that started it all - everytime I listen to it I reminisce about that particular era when Bad Boy was on the "come up" and artists like Faith, Notorious B.I.G., Total, Lil' Kim, etc were dominating the airwaves & charts.

After losing MJB, Puffy immediately put Faith on and unfortunately styled her a little too similarly to MJB which angered a lot of her fans and which I believe to this day has stymied Faith's career to some extent.

I agree with a previous poster that this album is truly a classic in that the music is timeless, I enjoy it just as much today as I did back in 1995/1996 and also notable is the fact that Faith wrote or co-wrote every track except for the remake of the classic: LOVE DON'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE.

Faith's first CD is fantastic! I even love her second CD. Great producers!

i like this album, a lot. i would say 85% of it is good to me. and in my opinion thats a good album in my eyes.

This is a fantastic album from Faith...for those of you who may not be familiar with her music, start off with this classy yet sexy debut album, released in 1995. It's a great album to listen when you want to chill, relax with your boo or simply to listen to some solid R&B. My fave tracks include No Other Love, Give It To Me (my personal favorite), Reasons, All This Love, Ain't Nobody and Come Over. This is a must have...enjoy.

This album was excellent in every way.I use to just sit and listen to this in amazement.Her voice,her runs,writing skills,she was not to be messed with.I still love Faith,I just wish she would do another album like this one.

These CD's are are constant companions that I listen to on my way to work in the morning...Nic Raine and his orchestra do a superb job rendering the themes, but some of the vocals, especially the one for Rawhide, make me yearn for the originals. All in all, it's a great set, definetely worth the money for a 40-50something baby boomer.

Don't waste your money.
This is NOT the original soundtrack music. The orchestra
just sounded like it was "trying" to imitate but couldn't.
In fact, it sounds like some of the singers, were singing
the lyrics in BRITISH voices!! With British accents.
Listening to that alone was like getting an ice water enema.
Not at all enjoyable. I do not recommend this cd to anyone.

Please note if you are considering buying that these are not the original movie soundtracks, these are an orchestra re-recording the music. If, like me, you like the original thing, then this is not for you.

If you like this type of music this is the best and more comprehensive selection. Well done!

I have lisned to The Magnificent Westerns for a solid month now. It has most of my favorite western movie theme songs on it. If you like the movies, you'll like the music.
It just too cool.

Didn't know Faith had it in her. This holiday album is wonderful. I purchased it not really knowing what to expect and I was very satified with it.

faith sounds great.............her voice is a gift from god.every song is great........any faith fan should have it.

I've always been a Faith Evans fan and was thrilled that she released a Christmas album. I'm glad she had a mix of newer songs and older carols. Her voice is in top form and the material on here is great! The styles range from traditional to jazz to r&b to old-school soul. My favorites have to be "O Come All Ye Faithful', "Christmas Song" and "Soulful Christmas." Replying to your Christmas greeting at the end of the record... Merry Christmas to you, too Faith!

I love this album. Faith took a lot of OLD classics that most R&B artists won't touch and I think that is great. Her version of 'This Christmas' was done very well, but my favorite is 'The Day That Love Began'. I think it's such a pretty song and it's worth buying the album.

This has got to be one of the best Christmas cd's to come out since Kelly Price's One Family. Faith Evans doesn't give you traditional, boring Christmas music that you can find anywhere, but she gives you her spin, the way she'd want it done. Stand Out Tracks Like Merry Christmas Baby, O Coem All Ye Faithful, This Christmas and the Original tune, Happy Holiday are the reason why, even in 2005 almost 2006 Faith Evans rich and soulful voice can't be touched. I definitely recommend this album along with her 4 previous LP's.

Who can listen to the theme from Bonanza, Blazing Saddles or the Shootout at Ok Corral without going back in time and reliving some old memories? I got this CD as a gift for someone and they were delighted with it. I listened to it with them in their home and it was everything I hoped it would be.

You don't usually hear these songs played by the City Of Prague Philharmonic and I have to tell you, the sound quality is full and dramatic. It's also a little unusual to see a collection like this which makes it nice as a gift because it's something the country and western fans on your list probably don't already have. I also liked the price, 38 songs on two discs for under $20. How can you beat that?

Excellent. I listen to the sounds of old and classic Western themes while on my frequent and long car travel for contract work, and driving through the country side listening to these wonderful old sounds is a great experience. I remember some of the great classic images,cinematography, and acting, and see them in my mind. Great collection. The only draw back is that some of the soundtracks are not the original ones, but the memory is still there.

How anyone would think this set does justice to any of the selections? It simply isn't possible to describe how painful it is to hear this rendition of Blazing Saddles. Please, don't buy these CDs you'll only encourage them to make more - thankfully I didn't purchase the set, instead I listened to a few tracks on Yahoo Music Unlimited.

IF YOU LIKE THE OLD TV WESTERN THEMES AND MOVIE THEMES THIS IS THE CD TO BUY.

While you can easily find a hit on all of her CD's, this is the only one you can listen to straight through, and every track is a hit! This CD is still heavily in my rotation 9+ years after its release. I hate it when an artist deviates from what made them successful, and I can only hope that she can recapture the feeling in her future works that has made me "Keep the Faith" all these years.

After Biggie's death, this album really puts her emotions out there and she releases an excellent follow-up to her debut album. This is an album for someone whose going thru a situation and need someone to relate to going thru similar situations. It's a little on the dark side because there aren't many uplifting songs, but the Faith fans will not be disappointed.

Standout tracks: "My First Love", "Life Will Pass You By", "Caramel Kisses", "Never Let You Go", "Love Like This"

Faith picks up the pieces and drops a very worthy album.

After releasing her excllent first CD,Faith really blew up when she appeared on the tribute song for her late husband Biggie Smalls. The first two singles,the irresistible dance/R&B cut Love Like This and its follow-up, the equally intoxicating All Night Long which still make me dance or roller skate. The ballads on the CD are also a strong point including the excllent Babyface written Never Gonna Let You and the sensual 112 featured Careml Kisses. All in all a fine album that highlights nineties soul at it's best.

You know those albums that you can just put on and not skip a track or program your favorites or anything... Just let it play. This is one of those. Every song is at least 4 stars. My favorites:

My First Love - this song makes me cry every time... it's just beautiful. I don't know this for a fact, but I imagine that she is talking about Biggie. Just my guess.
Love Like This - a club BANGA!! The reason why I bought the album... I remember when this song came out. I was pregnant and couldn't get enough of it. LOL.
Keep The Faith - so inspirational!

Yes, this review is 7 years old, but if you have the chance, pick up this album and get some FAITH!

This cd is as horrible as the fur coat shes wearing on the cover. Discusting.

This is truly an excellent album. I played this CD out when it first came out and I still listen to it constantly to this day. It never gets old. Every song is absolutely flawless; even the interludes are great! The production is great. The vocals are her best yet... short and sweet, this is by far Faith's best album. Her debut had great music, but some of it was a little bland and too much the same as what Mary J. was doing at that time. (Faith did have a lot of writing and backup vocals on the My Life album, so that's probably why.) Her sophomore release was nice, but it was a bit boring and slow. Her fourth album is very good, but it can't touch this, her third album. You need to buy this! This is one of my favorite R&B albums ever.

The third album from Faith is definitely a little lighter than her previous effort "Keep the Faith". She seems a little happier than before even though she still has some depressing tracks. Her singles that were released did fairly well but the "Burnin Up remix " with Missy and Freeway are better than the album version with Loon. "I Love You" had a steamy but tasteful video that brought that song to life and she shares writing credit with J.Lo and the song "Brand New Man" is letting a ex-trifling man that you can do better than him with someone new, "Can't Believe" with Carl Thomas is another highlight of the album. The Faith fans won't be disappointment, but Puffy should've definitely promoted her better and she probably might've still been on Bad Boy.

Faith Evans thrid album in six years was very good. The album featured the up-tempo party numbers You Gets No Love and Burnin Up. The CD also features a signature ballad Faith is known for having and on this CD it's the sentimental I Love You.

I love Faith..I'm a BIG fan.. This CD is pretty consistent with the feel that Faith normally brings.

This is a pretty good CD. I got it really cheap from here on Amazon so that helped! I haven't really listened to her other CDs so I can't compare even though I bought 2 of her earlier albums along with this one.

Faith's first album post-Bad Boy isn't bad at all. It just isn't a classic like the other albums. I had to play it a couple of times before I started loving it. Since I absolutely love this album the best tracks would be "Again", "Tru Love", "Over You", and "Ever Wonder" with Mario Winans. I was kinda disappointed with the Neptunes track in the beginning, I would say that's the worst track on the album. Can't wait for her next album.

What a great album!!! Her voice is phenomenal. Every song is a classic. Hands down, she can sing her butt off. My favorite tracks on the album are Stop, Go, Mesmerized, Going Out, and Jealous. Add this album to your collection. Faith Evans at her finest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the 2nd of her CDs that I bought here. I love her style and her voice gives me chills. She has such a songbird, soulful voice. It is a joy to listen. She has a gift and you know she is grateful.

Face it, the appeal of TV theme songs is their familiarity. You know every sound in your favorites. You won't find any of that here. Some of these aren't even close to the originals. A lot are performed on cheap, lifeless digital synths. All of them sound like tired run-throughs of the music. There is no apparent interest on the part of the performers, so why should any listener be interested?

The Mission Impossible theme is performed well.
The Fireball theme is actually much improved on this version. I prefer the orchestra and the vocals over the original.

As a musician myself, I know too well that one of the most important ingredients in ANY performance (live or recorded) is passion. The recordings here generally lack the same passion and sheer drama of the originals. Much of the instrumentation has been reduced to a cheezy, thin, plastic synthesized replica. The performances are simply a watered-down lackluster version of the classic originals. If it were not for the sheer volume of tracks compiled here, I would have rated the comp only "one star".

The sound quality for this collection isn't much better than the samples offered by Amazon.

I have watched almost all the shows that are on these 4 cd's. Many were made before I started watching TV. Most I've seen once or twice before.

I have this cd with the Thomas Kinkade cover and insert. The cover of the cd has Kinkade's painting "Village Christmas" with a pine green border. The cd is encased in a nice cardboard jacket with the same design. As an added bonus there is an insert of Kinkade's "Village Christmas". The album was put together back in 1981 and this is just a re-release of the album with Kinkade's painting, a message from Kinkade, and a short bio on Kinkade.

As for the album itself, it is one of the best compilation albums available. All the performers are recognizable. Some of the stand out tracks, in my opinion, are "Sleigh Ride" by Johnny Mathis with Percy Faith and his Orchestra, "Silver Bells" by Ray Conniff Singers, "Hallelujah Chorus" by The Philadelphia Orchestra, "Do You Hear What I Hear?" by Andy Williams, and "Christmas Eve in My Home Town" by Jim Nabors.

This album is sure to put you in a festive Christmas mood. If you decide to purchase it do try and get the 2002 Thomas Kincade re-release of this album.
