You gotta love this couple and their awesome talent! True to the recipe they keep making it hotter and better...oh not just their relationship, their music is the reference here. Love it! Love it! Love it!!!

I LOVE me some Kindred. Saw them in concert this summer and enjoyed them. I have listened to this CD twice and I am not into it. I liked their 1st the best and the 2nd was smooth. I expected even better songs on this one. I am just not feeling like their other works.

See, now, this band gets it. You can do soul music without sounding dusty and being slavishly reverential to styles that stopped selling records 30 years ago. They are genuinely soul, but not dated. Truly original, with nods to the legacy they stand on musically.

KTFS is a group that has always had the chops: songwriting,playing, singing...they really are the complete package. They're very sure of themselves, what they want to say, and stand as a grand testimony to what radio should sound like.

This record is on par with their previous albums, which I also recommend for anyone who likes R&B of any period. I could have done without the two poetry interludes (not because they're poetry, but because they're trite poetry; I know some poets who would KILL with this band behind them) and overall I think I still like the second album best, but this one comes highly recommended.

There are no words for this album...Kindred the Family Soul has done it again!! I recommend that anyone who is a fan of REAL music buy "The Arrival" because it's a breath of fresh air. Thank you Kindred for making music that heals...

I love this album ..yes there is LOVE alright and it manifest's itself in there music ..this is what the term "Soul Music" is all about ...I love the line in "Far Away" when she says "Tired of undeserved Fame",WOW that is so powerful and it resonates with a lot of todays celebrities,Every track is a Gem ,buy it you'll not be disapointed..

I love everything about this group, from their love of family, to the deep soul in their songs.

Because I can't see them in concert everyday this is a great CD to hold me over! Every time I buy this CD my whole house steals it to listen to it. Hence, this is the third time I have had to purchase it. If I needed to, I would purchase it again. This CD really speaks to the community without having to be vulgar or derogatory. It is all real talk! A great traveling CD...you won't skip a track!

This is a cd that has been slept on! The vocals are lush the production is great! The music is real and not electronic. Surrender to Love is definitely good to listen to after a stressful day or if you want to relax.

Being from Philly, I was able to see them in concert at the Five Spot
(Black Lily) and was blown away by the two of them. Their music is welcoming, it's peaceful and soulful. I asked her to perform "Stars" for me and my husband. It was unbelievable. Every Tuesday their band would head to the stage and the rest is as they say history.

I loved the first album and I love this one! It's nice to see artist w/ something real to say about love and all that love embodies. Great artists, great lyrics, great music!

Ok. I am not a frequent reviewer in general and seldom one on Amazon. But I thought it would be worth to describe this second effort by this group. The song "The Question - (Where would I be)" epitomizes neo-soul with its smooth background licks and rhythms. The words in this track as well as others give refreshed meaning to the idea of songs with meaning. Thus a purchase of this album will give the listener an opportunity to enjoy a duet - when they are so few to enjoy.

Deciding which albumn is better - their first or second - is no easy task. They're equally amazing. There's no doubt after listening to this duo on their sophmore cut that fate brought them together. Their songs are so positive and down-to-earth. The vocals are strong and harmonic. I have listened to this CD over and over many times in my car. I especially enjoyed track 6 and the title cut. Be sure to get their 1st albumn as well. Neo-soul and R&B fans love you Kindred!!!

I must say, family music has never sounded better. Kindred the Family Soul has a full CD project hit! This CD will definitely have longevity and Kindred will definitely be remembered for years to come---just like Ashford and Simpson. With all of the "let's break-up" and get into self--"self absorbed" music on the market today, it is refreshing to hear "love of family" music that also speaks to the real-life family issues and struggles while possessing positive answers. This is a "let's be real with each other" project that speaks directly to the heart of family. All of the family issue bases are covered, with love, forgiveness and endurance being the answer. I would recommend this to all married couples, husbands and wives of all ages and durations of years. Let's get back to love, strength, forgiveness, compassion and endurance in family, and if you don't know how to express it in words to the one's you love, then purchase this CD and give it as a gift----enough said! Kindred the Family Soul should be right up there with Indie Arie and Amel Larrieux. These three artists have their own styles and direct messages that are definitely worth a listen.
