What a fantastic voice! I loved, loved, loved the whole CD.
There was not one bad song on the whole CD. I am watching for her next one.

She sings very nice, although there are no changes at all througout the cd.... A couple of the songs are great, the rest of the disc, is just average.

its ok if you are in the mood for it. somewhat slow, a few upbeat songs.

I had to check Leona out because I had heard people say she is the greatest vocalist of our generation/decade. Luckily I didn't buy the CD to find out just how boring and dated this CD is.

It's almost as if Leona didn't even show up when the CD was recorded.

Leona is no Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Barbra or Kelly.

I would be surprised if any other tracks besides the first two make it on the radio.

The CD came in a timely manner but the packaging was open and the CD case was broken. The CD itself was OK.

This song is one of the best songs to just sing out to.

You will not regret buying this song if you're into pop or R&B.

I know it was overplayed but listening to it every now and then is good for the vocals (or heart, whether you sing or not).

This song has received too much air time, but is still a lovely song performed by a lovely new talent. The sound quality (on a very good system) is quite exceptional and as usual Amazon's service is perfect.

Sure, right now there's a Leona craze, so everyone who's not on board is considered crazy. Well, some of us are harder to brainwash. She's not a horrible singer, but my neighbor, who sings as she cooks, sings way better than Leona. She just needs Simon.

BUY THIS ALBUM....it is amazing and worth every penny. You will not find yourself skipping over any of the songs on this one...

This song is one of the best songs to just sing out to.

You will not regret buying this song if you're into pop or R&B.

The best kept secret cd is awesome.Leona does justice to and old swv song called im so into you.And the other songs are hot as well......Yes its differnet from the spirit cd which was great to.This cd shows leonas range and style........i give it a thumbs up

" Best Kept Secret" is an exemplary, seminal Leona Lewis CD replete with many excellent songs including "Joy". "Wanna Be That Girl", "Silly Girl", "L.O.V.E.U" and "I Can't Say Hello". The vocals, sound, production and mixes on this CD are supreme. It's very evident that Leona has always been a sublime and refined vocalist. Her British invasion is more than welcome. She's a great person who loves her family, children, animals and will not wear jewels, fur and leather because they derive from the mistreatment of humans and our fellow creatures.

"Best Kept Secret" is indeed a hidden gem ! It's PURE musical entertainment !

I am not sure if Leona Lewis purpose of this new CD is trying to shock her current fans or winning over new fans.

One thing is for sure this CD will provoke lots of discussions !!

Most of her current fans will feel shocked that she decided to fall for a mixture of pop, soul, hip hop and R&B music.

Her new fans will likely be mostly younger fans.

She might even be winning over some of the original Leona Lewis fans.

Its certainly interesting that she is trying something new, but its pretty sad that many songs off the new CD dont show case her beautiful voice.

I actually like both CD's, but for very different reasons.
I think because they are so different they show what she is capable of.

The songs I like most from this CD are "Bad Boy", "I'm so into you", "Ready to get down" and "I wanna be that girl".

Because of the diversity of her CD's (The Smooth Jazz broadcasting station even produced a Jazz style CD for her.) you can make an educated guess that Leona Lewis might surprise us again with a completely different style with her next CD.

Its probably not everybodys taste, but you have to value the braveness of trying something VERY different.

This time the base of the songs is somewhere along a mixture of a Janet Jackson and Madonna style melodys together with some Maria Carey like elements.

From the booklets names I can also tell that the new CD was created with some considerable help from Japanese friends and that influence seems to pay off.

When did a star you remember try THAT last time ?


This artist gets my vote again !! Leona you rock !!

On the last page of the cd booklet there is a picture of Leona with the following quote: "I want people to hear the real Leona Lewis, and 'The Best Kept Secret' album embodies the true Leona Lewis".
This album has a totally different style. On this CD, Leona performs R&B. The songs are just "ok"- very ordinary. The melodies have a very narrow range and do not allow Leona to sing up in her high voice.
If you're a Leona fan and decide to buy this CD, you will be dissappointed if you compare it to her "Spirit" album. Just realize that this album is going to sound completely different than "Spirit". The songs (in my opinion) sound very typical and really don't do anything for me.
There is one slow jazzy song toward the end of the album ("I Wanna Be That Girl") that has some nice chord changes. Also the song "Silly Girl" has a nice contemporary feel to it with an interesting beat. However- the singing (even in these songs) is just ordinary.
Simon Cowell is right when he says a performer needs the right songs that compliment their voice. In this case we have ordinary songs that make Leona sound like an ordinary singer.

This is one of the best singles I own!! Leona's voice is just breathtaking. I love Kelly Clarkson's voice too, but believe it or not I do not like her version of "A Moment Like this". Leona's version it's flawless & full of emotion. The same can be said of "Summertime" & "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" (I LOVE all three songs, but the last is my personal favorite). "A Moment Like This" can be found on her album "Spirit" as a bonus track, but "Summertime" & "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" are only available on this single. Get it if you like Leona's voice, you will not be disappointed!!

I think Leona did a nice rendition of "Moment like this". However, I don't think anyone could match the vocal prowess, emotion and texture of voice like Kelly Clarkson did. Leona's version is mostly a copy of Kelly's (except for a couple places) and I found myself wishing for the original. On the other hand, had I never heard Kelly, I would have thought Leona's version was pretty good.

Hey, since this is an import, I paid $12.00 for this 2 song disc. Trust me, I was hoping that I would love it. I didn't. I guess you will have to judge for yourself.

Disappointed that there were only 3 songs on this one - all sounded the same. Liked her other CD much more. Would discourage others from this purchase.

If you have never heard Leona Lewis, you need to...she has the most beautiful voice. She can be compared to Mariah and others because of how good she is already. Simon Cowell does know what he is doing and this proves it. One of the prettiest songs is: "Footprints in the Sand" one of my favorites. If you ever heard her you will want to know who that is so that you can purchase her music.

Aha, now I understand why Simon is so tough.

Simon knows exactly what he is looking for on American Idol or his European versions of AI. He wants the entire package and when he sees it, he grabs it, that's it in a nutshell. Simon wants the best and will not settle for less. He got the best when Leona Lewis came along.

Leona's voice is a voice we will be listening to for generations to come. She is one class act, classy voice, classy looks, classy dress - she's got it all, and now I will no longer get upset when Simon tells it like it is because he knows the "best" when he sees it and he knows who will make it and who won't.
