This CD is the best I ever heard. It is so so relaxing, and tranquil, it will take you back to the summertime months, filled with joyous memories of the beautiful ocean air, sounds of the seagulls, and just pure relaxation. Just sit back and meditate to this music, close you eyes, and you will love it. I am actually hosting a meditation night open to my friends, with soup and bread to start the evening, & using your CD to do this.

This is one of my favorite CD's. All of the tracks sound different yet each very calming and relaxing. I love to use it if I need help sleeping, while giving bodywork or for meditation.

This CD lives up to the reviews I read before purchasing it. Often when I purchase music for massage there ends up being one song on the CD which is not appropriate for relaxation. This CD is consistant throughout. The calming sounds vary slightly, approximately every 5 minutes. With twelve 5 minute songs/sounds, it is easy to move about the body without looking at a clock. I highly recommend this CD for massage or Reiki, or anytime you want to set a relaxing mood. It also advertises a bonus booklet on Reiki. Don't get too excited about that...I tossed it.

This cd was good to use while doing your tai chi practice. Very soothing.

This is one of the most relaxing cd's I have ever heard,the music flows beautifully and unobtrusively.The insert cover of this cd is different from what is shown here on amazon, but no fear, the music titles are the same as shown here.Anyway, back to the music,it is almost undescribable how quiet, relaxing, and smooth this is.Tai Chi fan or not, you will like this cd.

This is great music. Even the men in my classes have commented on how much they like it.

The music is excellent but the recording volume level is much lower than standart on any other cd ; look like a copy of copies cd .

This CD was bought to enhance my ability to practice Tai Chi. I'm here to attest that it does more than that. It's one of the most peaceful pieces of music I have ever heard. Not only is it conducive for any meditative activity, it's music to just sit and enjoy, and to allow your imagination to flow.

Picture yourself on a high mountain top looking out onto a calm sea, just as the sun is rising or setting. Your surroundings are quiet and calm. If you can imagine this, then that peaceful feeling that should overcome you is what this CD reminds me of. This is a winner, in my book!!

This CD is very relaxing and it runs long. I'm not experienced in these types of CD's, but enjoy this one the best of the ones I've purchased so far.

It has been very difficult for me, for many years, to find good albums for using during a bodywork session. Nine out of every ten that I try are peaceful and undemanding, for all but one or two places on the recording. The one or two places make that
album fail the test. I can't have the client relaxing into parasympathetic mode, and then an abrupt change in the pace or volume of the music demands their attention. That nullifies the previous fifteen minutes of work.
Llewellyn's music on this recording is beautiful, when you put your attention on it, but provides a pleasant background sound if you choose to not consciously attend to it. This work rivals the recordings of Liquid Mind, in its suitablity for a tranquil massage therapy session.

I think this is the most relaxing CD in the universe! I purchased this CD about 3 months ago and I listen to it virtually every single day. I use it to either put me into a state of deep relaxation or to put me to sleep at night (or both). I play it when I'm stuck in rush hour traffic and it helps me to remain calm and mellow. I also play it on my way to see the massage therapist in order to prepare my mind and spirit to fully receive a relaxing massage. I highly recommend it!

A very relaxing CD.This will get anyone in a mood for therapy treatments or just to relax too.The music blends together so well it's hard to tell when one selection ends and the next begins. I would highly recommend this to all healers.

Well, I really enjoyed this recording. Sure, the choir was not perfect in a few places but it was good enough for me (I sing in a couple of choirs myself). Lauridsen's Magnum was very good, quite hair raising in a nice way. The final chords so lovely and so hard to be really quiet yet maintain pitch and body.

The choral singing is crude and sloppy throughout this album. The whole product has the sound and look (is that an alien on the cover?) of something hastily and cheaply produced. Indeed, opportunism seems to have ruled over musicianship, as it appears the product was rushed to market to coincide with the outbreak of war in Iraq. Grant Llewellan is a fine musician and capable of producing so much more. What went wrong? Are the musicians in Boston just not up to snuff, or is the board and administration just painfully parochial? This is an ensemble that became leaders in baroque music under Christopher Hogwood. So what makes them think they should be performing Schoenberg, Barber, Delius and Gorecki?

Morten Lauridsen's chill-provoking 'O magnum mysterium' brought me to this project after hearing it on public radio at 2AM. Choice of material, quality and sensitivity of performance, and Grant Llewellyn's masterful direction make this a 'must have'.
I rarely buy choral music, but this one I will give at Christmas with a wish for the 'Peace' this music inspires.

A very soothing album. Perfect for reflection, meditation and Shiastu of course. Llewellyn is a talented musician and has put out many soothing albums. All the tracks on the album are nice, but then there are some that are stunning:

8. Prophecy: The best track on the entire album. It is not as a complex composition, but then composing a simple stuff is equally complex. The physiological affect of the track on the listener is almost immediate, you'll be immersed in a sea of tranquility and every thought crossing your mind will be beautiful.
9. The Dreamweavers: This track with Juliana's hypnotic chants will tap into your subconscious. I generally play an online radio station before going to bed. One night, I was woken from my deep sleep by some enchanting music that seemed liked a dreamscape. It was in fact this beautiful track that was enchanting the subconscious. I got up, checked the album playing and ordered it the following morning.

I use this CD in my alarm clock to wake up in the morning. It's great, because it's soothing and not loud like the radio or a buzzer alarm.

I loved this CD! I think one of my clients stole it because it is such an amazing CD...so I am buying it again. It has a variety of songs which make it an awesome compliation. It is great to work to because it is not boring or meditative, but still extremely relaxing. It is a must have for a massage therapist's music collection.

P.S. I walked down the Isle to Dreamweavers on the top of a mountain. Play it loud...it sounds like angles comming down from heaven.

I bought this without hearing it first -- am glad I did. I play it when I get shiatsu treatments. I find it extraordinarily relaxing. Of course, you can play it at other times as well. I heartedly recommend it -- excellent for meditation as well, or just for quiet listening. I like to play such music when I'm reading spiritual books (e.g. Dzogchen).

I first purchased this CD at a local new-age bookstore. I did not listen to it before pursnasing, but I was looking for something to use with m patients in relaxation sessions. So I took a chance and have been rewarded ever since.

I play this CD almost every day - with my clients, when meditationg, when writing as I go into my "think tank". My clients find the music relaxing, interesting and inspirational. They request it when given a choice of music during sessions.

I used the track #4 "Forbidden Love" as a background for a Heart Meditation that I read and use often. I feel a great expansion of light from that exercise.

This was the first of Llewellyn's music in my collection. I then purchased the Reiki CD and enjoy that one also. He is now on my favourite list. Keep up the good work.

The Trombone has come of age of itself. Time was it inhabited the backwalls of the orchestra to sit tirelessly counting rests. Slowly we have pieces now for solo trombone, in fact there is an entire repertoire which Lindberg has recorded vigorously. The Rouse concerto casts something similar to his "First Symphony" with bursting lyricism of strings screeching in the stratosphere,with thick impenetrable lower strings. The odd mimicking of ideas is slightly humorous. A direct imitation is quite innocent yet filled with high energy,even jazzy in gesture at times. Rouse knows how to build momentum,but I think it is not enough all the time or not well paced With this large gestural scope the Rouse requires a possessed performer at minimum. Augusta Read Thomas has an original voice here. Her music displays well crafted lyricism,lapidiarian like with well balanced chordal sonorities,knowing how to mix and blend strings and winds. She is less informed in her use of percussion. She knows brass well, she played trumpet once,but here the trombone has a story to tell, one of elegant lyricism,meaning her music transcends the instruments obvious historical baggage of relative arrogance heaviness and clumsiness. She knows how to shape her solo accomplice into the fabric of the orchestra. The Chavez as well is a good example of this neglected composer. And Lindberg knocks the hell out of anything he blows. He can also be senstitive as well to the metaphysical voice contained within each work

Read Thomas is someone who has found a unique voice. She is elegantly ugly at times, and evocative without knowing. But there is an intense transparent lyricism which runs through all her music. She glides and lilts her way through her well thought-out pieces not bothering to write so that everyone in the orchestra plays. She for instance downsizes the lower voices, something I find fascinating. Here the trombone solo is music it has been wanting to play all its life,so neglected and pigeon-holed as a clumbsy clown. But not here, Read Thomas reestablishes its grandeur and dignity. So does Rouse but in an ever more gut-wrenching way. I feel the presence of his "First Symphony" here the "Adagio" the darkly packed lower voices there and here again served him well with high-tension violin melos.Dedicated to Bernstein a friend, the piece has an obvious miniature requiem-like feel. But things do get jazzy,huffy with Lindberg teasing and tempting the orchestra to mimic him and does a few times. A funny bit I guess proclaiming Lenny's self-consciousness. Chavez to we hardly hear or know, but this is a well constructed work with again the lyricism the trombone has been begging for and needs.

Livelier than his previous CD, "Ghosts," Llewellyn's "Celtic Legend" manages to capture all the mystery, danger, timelessness and heart of eight tales from Celtic lore in these intense, cinematic, richly orchestrated instrumentals. Don't look for reels, ballads and other traditional Celtic fare here; Llewellyn's distinctive compositional style instead blends the best of New Age-style atmosphere and elegance with the deeper, epic sweep characteristic of good movie soundtracks--not necessarily music to meditate to, but very evocative and always a good listen! The Celtic spirit is here even if traditional Celtic musical conventions are note. And this album has great flow--the music always moves along, evolving and developing in a multi-layered, multi-tracked swirl of sound, effortlessly transporting a listener to elsewhere and otherwhen. Very nice! Joining multi-instrumentalist Llewellyn are Juliana on vocalise (i.e. wordless "oohs and ahhs"), Tori Donovan on recorders and other instruments, Sandra Cross on violin and Medwin Goodall on acoustic guitar. There is another album out there with the title "Celtic Legend" by Bruce Huron. I bought it by mistake, thinking it to be this one. However, it was a happy mistake--it's every bit as good, a bit more traditionally Celtic in style, but with some similar qualities to Llewellyn's work, so give it a try too! And for more great music by Llewellyn, try "Mysts of Avalon," "Moonlore" and "Ghosts." For other cool, New Age interpretations of Celtic lore, try also "A Celtic Tale" and "A Celtic Romance" by Mychael and Jeff Danna, "Patrick," and "Music of Celtic Legends: The Bard and the Warrior" by Jeff Johnson and Brian Dunning, and the work of Loreena McKennitt.

I work a lot from my computer, so background music is a wonderful asset. The beat is very calming and soothing. Some have commented on the sounds of lovemaking--well, it's just breathing to the beat. That's it. The breathing happens on Tantras 2 and 3. Not a distraction for me, but then I'm not actively listening. Besides, since I also do Yoga and Pilates, the breathing is like a cue for deep breathing.

I never knew that something like this existed, but thought I would give it a try. Wow! This album just puts you in another realm of sensuality, wish I had it before. If you want to put some passion in your relationship, try this and let it carry you to another level. Love it!

Was in the process of using my Pepsi points to purchase the tracks from this album. I enjoyed each to I got but for some reason, your site discontinued offering the tracks individually and only as a full album purchase.

I have only 3 of the 4 tracks. I'd like to get the last track.

What I don't like about it the most is the panting, sexual sounds the artist tries to put onto the CD. I can't help picture the unabrowed artist trying to be seductive and sexual and it just doesn't work. The music is simply a repeat of the same melodies over and over and over again.

The sounds produced on this CD bring many feelings and emotions to the surface in a good way.

This is the first album I ever bought by Llewellan, and it is still one of my favorites. The music ranges from moody and quiet to lively and sparkling. If you like Celtic, pagan, or new age music, you will like this album. Similar artists include Meddwyn Goodall and Lisa Lynn.
