i've always loved "i heard they suck live" and this is truely the sequel to that album. the patter is just as funny as their original album and true to form, the recording quality is top notch.

another point i have made about this album to people is that the first live record borrowed very heavily from "punk in drublic" and this sequel seems to have finished off the rest of the songlist. and i don't mind one, bit.

This live album is definitly worth picking up! Anyone who's ever seen Nofx live, it's mandatory to get this! Hey guess what? They've actually gotten worse live! And I couldn't be happier!

I thought this was a great live album, I'm a diehard NOFX fan, but still, the recording quality is spot on, the songs are all new (compared to "I Heard They Suck...) and so what about the Decline Teaser! Did you really think they would play the whole thing live? Besides, if you caught one of the shows from this tour (I did, whoo hoo!!) you would know that's all they played of the Decline anyway... It's NOFX, love em' or sorta love em', it's NOFX... Now how about a live DVD already!!!

What's with all the whining about The Decline tease?? This album holds together very well in my opinion. Some of their best stuff, and gratefully not all their "hits." This album actually made me like a few of songs I didn't care too much about before, like "I, Melvin", but especially "Eat the Meek."

This is proof that NOFX is one of the best around, and the two guest appearences on Lori Myers and I, Melvin and Hefe's trombone and trumpet playing never sounded so decent on a recording. Good span of songs from various albums.

Overall, I think some people don't give NOFX enough credit, even their own fans! Who the hell are you to expect things from them? The reason they've been so great and are still getting better is because they've done whatever they want. I'll take 3 minutes of The Decline....

if you're checking out this album and this pointless review, you simply put WILL have to get this hilarious pile of "funny"ing the hell out of everybody by the NOFX - eventually!!! if not, you've got issues and need to start spending time a lot more wisely...
this is how it always is with these guys and it's really something splendid when punk rock doesn't have to be too serious in about every aspect possible...
even this foreign kid who wrote this got most of the laughs intended - and the kid also freaked out nicely to the endless number of incredible sounds as well...

The lyrics are sophomoric, the chords are simple, and the overall sound is harmonic. You won't be soul-searching with this band. It's best to listen to when you want to get hyper and that double shot latte isn't doing its job. It's not as raw as traditional punk, which is a good thing for me (I do like trad. punk, but only when I'm in a bitter mood.).

The album is my favorite. They've become more talented at this point, and they haven't started with the pseudo-political stuff. NOFX, stick to songs about drinking, sex, etc. I still love you though.

This is one of about 4 NOFX albums that stand out as the best punk rock has to offer. What in heaven happened to them? Their last two albums suck.

I really think Punk in Drublic is one of maybe two near-great albums by this band (well, I haven't heard Two Heabs, or Pump Up the Valium yet). This is the NOFX that I loved; they kept things simple, and the lyrics were more personal than the dragging "political" lyrics of NOFX today (which aren't "political" so much as they are "fat mike trying to be as punk rock as possible no matter how hypocritical it'll make him).
I think the songs here are consistently good, and their very fun too; you get none of the emotional baggage of later NOFX releases, and they can sometimes make a point without trying to lecture you (though most of the time they're just having fun).

best tracks: Linoleum, Leave it Alone, Jeff Wears Birkenstocks?, Fleas, Lori Myers(even for the subject matter alone), and The Cause.

in my opinion, this is probably the most classic nofx album. linoleum, don't call me white, the brews-all classic songs. maybe not their best, 2 heebs and a bean, s&m airlines,and so long are all great albums. especially,white trash 2 heebs and a bean, which also has a lot of great classics-stickin in my eye, bob, liza and louise, and one my favorite songs, you're bleeding. but something about punk and drublic kept it in my cd player for months after i bought it. don't waste your time on anything before s&m airlines or after pump up the valuum. nofx used to be awesome but they are washing up big f**king time now. but that doesn't mean you shouldn't check out their old stuff. this album is great for people who want to get into nofx or who only own war on errorism or wolves in sheeps clothing. do yourself a favor, and sell those crappy cd's and buy their older stuff, if you dig the new stuff at all, you will love it. if you don't, there is something wrong with you and you shouldn't be allowed to own music. start with punk in drublic and work your way back.

I bought this album when I was 20 and drinking a lot of crappy beer, it goes along perfectly with that mind set in that you don't haft to really do much thinking or worry about getting stimulated into thinking. It's pretty juvenile. What I'm trying to say is this, if you're still listening to and enjoying tripe like this when you're 25 and up than you got some developmental issues.

While there are some interesting bits like the traditional jazz (or was it ragtime? I'm no musical scholar.) songs and NOFX classics like "Bob" and "Stickin' In My Eye", but there's a lot of filler. Some of the songs run into each other. Now, I don't expect the most talented stuff to come from a punk band, but I do expect a lot of heart. I just wasn't feeling it with some of the songs.

This is a solid and fast-paced collection. "The Bag" and "She's Gone" are best on the cd. I think "Punk in Drublic" cd is a better one to have, but this is one I listen to every few weeks and enjoy. NOFX seems to have their own sound and "White Trash..." seems to represent this in every cut.

and that's exactly what they did. too bad because they used to be good, and this album is one of the best nofx cd's out there. it has a lot of classics on it: stickin in my eye, bob, liza and louise, johnny appleseed. and also some really great songs that you might not have heard: you're bleeding, she's gone, and soul doubt. this is really the last album nofx recorded before they started turning pretty poppy. punk in drublic and so long are both still good, but don't buy anything after that. pump up the valuum might be worth having but definently not worth buying, so get it from a friend or something. but if you want to hear classic old-school nofx, then get this album. and if you like it, then get s&m airlines and be really rocked the [...] out.

This was the frist NOFX album I heard and I still love it just as much today. The songs are funny, clever upbeat, exciting and really showcase NOFX's talent. If you like punk or pop-punk than this is definately a must have album for your collection.

Okay, let me start by saying that I am a huge NOFX fan, and I have been for my entire life. I have listened to all of their albums, and I must say, this is one of their best ones (the only one I would have to say I like better is "S/M Airlines"). This a perfect combination if punk, ska, and a good time. It's great, it's funny, and its just all around awesome. Useless Fact: This was the first full length NOFX album El Hefe appeared on (he was on the EP "The Longest Line" before this). Before i get to the song-by-song review of this great punk rock treasure, I need to get some of this out of the way. Some retard posted something like "this isn't punk, get simple plan and good charlotte". shows how much you know kiddie (yeah, i'm older, i just don't have an amazon username). this is REAL punk! good charlotte are sellouts, poseurs, and they never WERE punk! they're music represents NOTHING that punk is, and it doesnt have the punk FEEL or SOUND. yeah. nofx are pretty big, but they are NOT sellouts, OR posuers, and yeah, there are more underground hardcore-er bands that might be considered "more punk", but this is real f*****g punk s**t. Anyway, here is the song-by-song review of this great piece of punk.

1. Soul Doubt: the first song on the album, and what a first song! this song (like every single one on the album) is a great song! awesome instruments (you really come to EXPECT that from nofx), and fat mike's catchy, great lyrics ("i stick my head out of the window when it's closed, instead of air i get glass stuck into my head"). 5/5

2. Stickin In My Eye: ah, stickin' in my eye. great song, all the way through. AMAZING basswork (fat mike truly has to be one of, if not, THE greatest bassist ever!), great guitar, great lyrics, everything. this one had a video that showed them playing at Gilman's. Cool song! 5/5

3. Bob: the other song with a video! this one (as talked about in the song) shows a drunk with suspenders riding a scooter! This song is awesome. Many of the elements that have today defined NOFX. good bass, good guitar, good drums, and el hefe's signature ska-trumpet playing! Great song! 5/5


4. You're Bleeding: this is another great one (i think we have established about every song on here is). nothing TOO special, but still a great song, that sounds cool, and deserves 5 stars! 5/5

5. Straight Edge: lemme clear the air. i read a couple reviews that said "straight edge is so stupid" and stuff like that. THIS SONG IS A F****** JOKE!!!!! yeah, alot of these kiddies don't know that, becuase they don't know minor threat. straight edge, in its original, 45 second, fast, hardcore form, was the first single released by a, well, straight edge hardcore band from DC named Minor Threat in the early 80's. they sing a joke version of it because they like drugs, sex, and booze!!!(being straight edge is no drugs, no booze, no casual sex) Anyway, a good funny el hefe novelty. cool bluesy guitar, cool trumpet, hilarious! 5/5

6. Liza And Louise this is another one showing the wit and range of fat mike's lyrics. to lay it out: this song is about lesbian sex. yeah, snicker all you want kiddies, we're not all homophobes. yeah, that don't mean i am one, but i have no problem with them, and fat mike just seems to have a liking for lesbians (see also "louise" on the louise and liza single, and the not as good remake on the 2000 lp pump up the valuum) 5/5

7. The Bag: a pretty cool one. not as great as others, but still cool. 5/5

8. Please Play This Song On The Radio: okay, kiddies, do you know what to say when i count to three? 1-2-3: "WHAT AN A**HOLE!!!!!!" greatest yell/chant ever! this song rules! its about how corporate rock and the radio stations cant play anything that has swears in it or, to quote the song, "the fcc's gonna take a **** right on your head!" great message, great lyrics, great ******* song! "almost every- line is sung in- time, and almost every verse ends in a rim" 5/5

9. Warm: the only one i skip when i listen to this cd, not that great, but not at all bad. 4/5

10. I Wanna Be Your Baby: this is a great, catchy, harder one! cool guitar, great vox! 5/5

11. Johnny Appleseed: this is another funny hefe novelty, about, well, johnny appleseed! funny! 5/5

12. She's Gone: okay, here it is! she's gone! this is my favorite song on the album, and one of my favorite nofx songs of all time! this is like the climax of the album! it rules! great bass, great guitar, great drums, great vox, great lyrics, great everything! "she's gone, and its NOT gonna be alright! not for me, she's gone, and its NOT gonna be alright! not for me, she's gone"

13. Buggley Eyes: ahh, alls well that ends well. heres where the climax falls and you get a nice funny, short, soft little ditty. another one of nofx's classic funnies. "did you ever go to sleep with bo derek, and wake up with bo didley? you got so loaded, you thought that she, was the most beautiful girl you ever did see" self explanitory. 5/5

so, there you have it! one of the greatest works of our time! deffinately buy it!

This cd starts out as a great punk cd! Halfway through, it becomes disjointed and doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I recommend this for only diehard, hard-core (no pun intended!) NOFX fans......but, as an intro to the group, i'd recommend Punk In Drublic or Heavy Petting Zoo.

Damn, I'm a huge Nofx fan! There's never been a Nofx album I didn't like. Until now. I didn't hate this album but I'm not feelin it that much. Some good songs here and there. Some bummers in my opinion. Maybe it could grow on me but that's usually not the way it is with them. If you're just getting into Nofx check out there older albums like Ribbed, white trash two heebs and a bean, punk in drublic, etc...

It's Good. I mean, it might not be as memorable of some of their older stuff. But sit on it for a bit. The lyrics are fun as usual, there are some awesome guitar riffs as well. Just like all of their albums, they are just fun to play and listen to. So many haters on here. It is a good album, even if it is not as good as some as the classics.

They started out as a punk band that I didn't really like too much. After Ribbed they became very good. Now with this album they have become, dare I say, great? This is the second transformation of the band.
If you look at NOFX's previous albums, they have a couple of really good songs. Then some that, even though they are good, I just can't listen to too much. Every song on WIWC is better than many songs on their previous albums. They don't have the rough distorted sound they used to, but rather a more polished, more melodic sound. I know people will be yelling 'they sold out', but how can you sell out with a song like 'Leaving Jesusland'? As a matter of fact, this song is one of those that I listen to over and over again and wait to get tired of it. Some bands mature like spoiled milk, others mature like NOFX. And although I am so sick of Bush bashing (not that I like him, but just sick of hearing it) NOFX does it in a way that is so original, so intelligent and fun too. I used to like Heavy Petting Zoo the best. Now its this. One of the final lines in the CD talks about them going out after their prime. To me, they just hit their prime. I would do anything to hear the end of Instant Crassic!

and what we deserve is another album like this one from nofx. I own every one of nofx's albums, and i must say that i was surprised when i put "Wolves in wolves clothing" in my cd player because honestly i thought...new music all sucks this probably will too...NO!
Nofx seems to never get worse, but only better, even in their older age they still bring the rock. "wolves" is by far the most mature album, and anyone who claims to like punk whatsoever will fall in love with it.

Love them or hate them, you can't ignore the legacy that nofx is leaving 24 years in the making.

NOFX are deffidently a great band. NOFX writes great lyrics and is an excellent bassist; El Hefe is an immensely talented guitarist; Eric Melvin provides some great backround vocals; and Erik Sandin? One of the fastest drummers ever. They indeed make some kickass music, and this is indeed a great comp. Although, there are some songs missing. The 4 main ones for me are Kids of the K-Hole, The Desperation's Gone, Electricity, and S&M Airlines. Those are some of my favorite NOFX songs, and it's a bit of a disappointment. But that does not take away the extravagant experience this CD.

My favorite songs on this comp are Dinosaurs Will Die, Linoleum, Seperation of Church and Skate, Bottles to the Ground, 189 Degrees, Stickin In My Eye, All Outta Angst, Leave It Alone, Green Corn, Idiots Are Taking Over, Thank God It's Monday, Don't Call Me White, It's My Job To Keep Punk Rock Elite, and Wore the Soles of My Party Boots. The only songs I truly don't like are franco un-american and kill all the white man(too boring).

So who cares if he sings out of tune? Who care if he sings with lyrics that are uneducated, political, and have liberal slantings? Who cares if they've been using the same 3 chords for years and years and years? Who cares if the only way to sell records is to target to 13 and 14 year old skaters who get their politics from crappy music? And who cares if this band hasn't been relevant in a decade?...Well, I guess I care. Why waste your money on bands like this (Green Day, System of a Down, etc.)? They complain to make money and use suckers to sell records (instead of using talent). If you want some truly good music, check out good bands like the David Crowder Band. Now THEY are a band that will truly change your life. "Linoleum" is a good song, though. On a side note, I notice that everybody who loves NOFX and Green Day cannot spell. It's kind of funny.

This CD rocks and I found out about this from Tony Hawk's Underground and the best track is Separation of Church and Skate. This is a absolutely awesome CD!

NOFX definitly aren't a band that I love so much that I would go out and buy all of their albums, but these songs ________ rule! Don't get me wrong, they have great songs besides these, but if you want the best NOFC songs and don't care about some of their other ones, that this album has all th e great songs. Bob, DOn't call me White, Franco-Unamerican, if you loved all those songs, than this is the only NOFX album you need.

What else is their to say? Not much really. This is a bunch of great songs. ON a side note, if you are a fan and want the extra track, don't get the whole album. I do though, reccomend buying it off of iTunes. Paying nearly 13 dollars for one song? ONly a stupid stupid mother________ would be a _____head and pay that much.

I like many people around my age, got into NoFX when I was around fourteen and Punk in Drublic came out and I was just discovering punk rock for the first time. What a great place to start. That album is great and I can still listen to it from start to finish to this day. I was excited when I went into my local music store and found a career spanning anthology by NoFX. And it was awesome to have all of their best songs from many of their albums that I have always wanted to own but never had enough money to buy, on one c.d. However, I wish they had put a little more care into the making of this compilation. It felt like they put it together kind of haphazardly. Like when I read some of the stuff in the collages I have to strain my eyes just to do so, like they used a bad copier or something to make it on. I would have liked a chronological listing of songs, a short foreword or a small biography or something that gave a little more information about the band, and a few more songs from PID and White Trash... Also if you own some of their c.d.'s but not all of them and choose to add songs in to make your own "hits" collection it kind of sucks when your listening to it because some of the songs from the older c.d.'s are recorded at a lower volume level and don't have the same sound quality as the ones from this one do. These are just some minor complaints that take this c.d. down from a great compilation to an alright compilation and in no way reflect upon the quality of the music. The music is great and all the best to NoFX in the future.

I got into NOFX through "Pump up the Valuum" but I would definitely say that this is definitely their best album, at least in my opinion. I always find myself singing along to this one, and I feel this album probably flows the best out of all of their library. I will admit this one and Punk in Drublic are neck and neck though. So, if you are thinking about checking out NOFX, this album or Punk in Drublic are both good starter choices.

...for me at least. i can always go back to this album when i get bored of what im listening to. i've owned this cd since 1999 when i discovered NOFX. i like it better the punk in drublic. if you have never listen to nofx before i suggest getting this cd first and going from there.

This little punk album is actually one of NOFX's best albums but there are a bunch just as good. The cool thing about this cd is that it doesnt seem like they were trying to put together a great album considering it took less than 3 days to put it together and record and most of the songs are only around 2 minutes long. This album literally flies by making you wish that there were more tracks... and that is definately a good thing. There is almost no filler like on some of their albums and my favorite songs are 180 Degrees, Quart In Session, Dad's Bad News, All Outta Angst, I'm Telling Tim, All His Suits Are Torn, The Desperation's Gone, It's My Job To... & the short but sweet Murder The Government. NOFX lays down some of their catchiest songs ever here for instance 180 Degrees is my favorite song by them to date so if you are a slight fan of the band do not hesitate to pick this up.

Well, yesterday, I had went CD hunting at FYE. I was looking for cheaper stuff, though, because...well...me and my family ain't too terribly rich. I saw this CD on sale for 10 bucks. I already owned their compilation and I really liked it. My favorite song on the comp was on this one, so I picked it up. It was well worth my ten dollars, let me tell ya'. Guess I'll do a song-by-song review now. Woot!

A very fun song to listen to, though not one of their best.

This is my favorite NOFX song. I love the way it's structured. It goes from a hardcore punk sound, to a nice ska sound, to a great pop-punk sound. Plus, it's a great sing-along track.

This was my other favorite on the compilation. I love ska music, so I loved this song.

Amazing song! Very different from most of the NOFX stuff I've heard, but that's what makes it so great. Plus, this is lyrically one of their best.

Wow...that's all I can say. Wow. Another one that's lyrically great.

Pretty good instrumental! But, if they do more stuff like this, then I would really like to hear a less simple one.

This is a pretty good closing track. Very catchy. It gets stuck in my head pretty easily.

So, overall, this isn't a GREAT album, but it is fun as hell to listen to. Buy it if you're just looking for something to chill out to.

NOFX is an allright punk band, but in my opinion Rancid is a hell of alot better. Much better, and this album even proves it. Every song that Rancid covered rawked and every NOFX cover of Rancid sounded pathetic, almost like a mockery it was so so bad. Here's the fact, compared to Rancid, NOFX tremendously sucks donkey dong.

I love Rancid and like NOFX, and when I bought this album I loved NOFX and liked Rancid. The original versions of the songs are better, but these covers are good and really interesting. Don't Call Me White is better than the original, Rancid does it good and I don't like that song when its by NOFX. I I'm the One is probably the best song by NOFX compared to the original Rancid song. GET THIS ALBUM!

Some of the people reviewing this are being kind of stupid and looking at it wrong. The bands weren't trying to out-do each other or anything. It was all just for fun. Some guy said NOFX ruined the Rancid songs by changing the style too much. THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT! Of course it's not going to sound like it's "supposed to!" They wanted to do the other's song in their own style. What would be the fun in trying to make it sound the same as the original version? I think they both did a great job.

Personally I liked NOFX's stuff better just because I'm a bigger fan of them. I'm a huge Rancid fan, too, but the vocals on "Don't Call Me White" and "Moron Bros." were kind of annoying. I guess just because Tim and Matt's vocal style doesn't really match up well with Fat Mike's, so it sounds really weird. As for NOFX, I liked all the songs. "Tenderloin" kind of bugged me because at first I didn't even recognize it until he started singing the chorus, but it was an okay cover. "Antennas" was awesome, and so was "Corozon De Oro." Their version of "Radio" was hilarious. I've talked to Rancid fans that hated that, but it's pretty obvious that it's a joke, especially if they saw them play it live at Warped Tour in 2002. They brought out a few rastafarians to play keyboard for it. It was great.

Best tracks are NOFX - "Olympia, WA" and Rancid - "Stickin In My Eye" or "The Brews," I can't decide.

Overall it's a cool buy, but before getting this I'd probably suggest owning most, if not all, of the NOFX and Rancid albums so you recognize the songs. It'll be cooler that way.

Rancid is my favorite band, but nofx ruined their songs. their covers of antenas and olympia werent too bad, but rancids are way better. Rancid however did a much better job of covering nofx's songs. Nofx changed the style way too much, it didnt seem right.

OMFG! This is the best record ever! Rancid, NoFx! What a great mix! And I thought NoFx did a good job singing "BOB"!

This album sucks for the most part. It has its moments but its not worth paying more than $5 for it. If you see it in the used bin at the record store I would say go for it but, don't expect to like it that much. Honestly, with the exception of 4 songs, this album pretty much blows. Fat Mike's vocals are the worst on this record. Don't believe me, listen to "Hotdog in a Hallway" (Worst NOFX song of all time in my opinion). He can scream punk anthems all day long but as soon as he starts softly singing (which he does A LOT on this album) thats when I just have to shut it off.

All ranting aside, there are some good songs on this album. Freedom like a shopping cart, Bleeding Heart Disease, The Black and White and Drop the World are the only songs I actually enjoy listening to. The only other 2 songs I can tolerate are Whats a Matter with Kids Today and Release the Hostages. Everything else on the album is pure, and totally uncut FILLER.

So the bottom line is if you are starting to get into NOFX I recommend starting with White Trash, 2 Heebs and a Bean, then moving on to Punk and Drublic. Then if you really want to, LISTEN to this record first all the way through then decide if its for you. Trust me, no one will critisize you for not having it because everyone knows it sucks.

And for the people who desperatly try to defend this album, give it up. Even NOFX knows this record sucks. I have personally seen this band live 3 times and have only heard 1 song played from this record ONCE. And the song was the 45 second opener Hobophobic so that right there should tell you all you need to know about this record.

The music basically is like any other album by this band, skillfully performed but not skillfully written. The music simply has no appeal, the chord progressions don't interest me. They make the Sex Pistols look good if you ask me, though of course thousands of people insist on liking them even though they have NO SKILL

this is my favorite nofx record. never mind how 'punk' it is - the songwriting is incredible and shows them at their creative peak. unfortunately this album had a negative reception with the fans, and nofx have never been as ambitious or adventurous with their music since. don't get me wrong, i love all their music, but this is the one.

Compared with the rest of their discography, this is NOFX's slowest, least hardcore, and possibly "catchiest" release. If you're not big on ska, you're probably alot better off checking out "Punk in Drublic" or their earlier material. Lots of slower, catchy drum groove and guitar driven tracks here with less hardcore three chord then any other album by the band.

Liza is a good track to listen to get a feeling for how this album differs from the "standard" NOFX sound. Lyrically it's standard fare, smart humor and politics shot padded with bathroom humor (hear specifically lesbian and fat girl jokes.)

This album rocks, but if you're more interested in being hardcore then picking up a catchy good record you might think it's "weak sauce." just a warning.

"Freedom Like a Shopping Cart" may be the best song ever recorded.

NOFX is one of my favorite bands and i have to admit this was one of my least favorite albums at first. As the years went on i liked it more and more. Now I absolutely love this album. This and "So Long..." and prob my two favs at the moment. I love the mix of punk with some good ska mixed in. Everyone says that this record is slow, but other than a few songs, i think that it has that same lightning fast feel as any other NOFX album. This CD is soooo good, I totally recommend it. Fat Mike is the man.

NOFX sucks, and this album is absolute trash. Fat Mike is not too bright at all and it shows in his lyrics big time. This album is a complete joke. If you want real punk rock, look elsewhere, do not listen to this garbage! If you want good modern day punk rock listen to AFI before Sing the Sorrow, Rancid, Bouncing Souls, Blood for Blood, Bad Religion, etc. And if you want the real punk rock listen to the Misfits and the Ramones, they are the best that punk rock has ever offered really.

There are 2 categories of NOFX albums that I rate highly. In one category are the albums that excited me almost immediately and sucked me in from almost the first note--those would be Punk in Drublicand Pump Up the Valuum.

In the second category are the albums that didn't jump out to me at first--in fact, maybe I even disliked at first--but in time grew on me and got better and better with each listen. In this category, Heavy Petting Zoo and White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean.

So I like this disc, and I would put it in category 2. I was a little put-off at first from the CD-ROM intro and opening to the liner notes, because I thought NOFX was a smartly political band--smart in the sense that they mostly attacked mediocrity and small-mindedness in everyday life, which reflected on the big picture, but was basically trying to change the people in the crowd rather throw garbage than the big heads on stage. They can be as mad as they want about the first W. Bush election, but I was afraid that they had fallen into the trap of bad, hackneyed political rage.

I was a teen in the Reagan era, and when George W. got elected, an old friend of mine said a very wise thing: "Man, this sucks," he said, "but at least we'll get some good music out of it." Probably the best thing I could say as a personal boon from the Reagan years was all the great, angry music that came out during it. Of course, there was a lot of crap (take child punk band Old Skull (Get Outta School) and their insightful commentary, "I hate you, Ronald Reagan!"), but I can wade through a lot of crap if it lets me light on an island called The Age of Quarrel or Suicidal Tendencies (s/t, of course). So I had hope for some cool music as the age of George W. began, and as much as I like to disparage Green Day, I found "Holiday" to be one of the best durn songs they've ever done.

But my first listen to this NOFX disc made me think that they'd fallen into the Pile of Crap category of angry political punk commentary. "The Irrationality of Rationality" is still one of the weaker tracks on this disc in my estimation, but luckily NOFX still take stabs at what they stab best--lame punk rock ("Medio-core") and sexual prissiness ("She's Nubs"). Later on, with "American Errorist," they abdicate more of taking a stand rather than a particular ideology, though I'm sure some dualist will have a disagreement with that assessment.

In all, this isn't one of NOFX's best efforts, but don't let the overt political messages distract you--there is still a lot of good, refreshingly funny NOFX in "We Got Two Jealous Agains" and "Whoops, I OD'd." They remain nicely contrary and rigidly independent from trends, whether those trends be in music or popular thought. I mean, YEARS after their musical proclamation that they won't play ska anymore, here comes "Anarchy Camp." The overt contradiction is nothing less than a good chuckle against the rigid, unimaginative realm of those who think there is such a thing as consistency in life.

To the boys of NOFX, I raise a Walker Blue to your continued health. Keep churning it out.

I think this is the first NOFX album in a long time that truely sucks. A few exceptions, but definitively not worth my money.

Fat Mike knows how to write a good punk song with great harmonies. But the only thing that bothers me is how one-sided everything is. I mean, that's expected in the genre of punk. But what bothers me the most is how Fat Mike points the finger at the rednecks and calls them ignorant. Now I myself am a democrat, but I think it's equally ignorant to just nod along and agree with everything this band preaches.

Besides that, it's a pretty solid album. Key tracks: "13 Stitches" and "Whoops, I Od'd."

I'm not familiar with NoFX's earlier works, really... I only have their latest two albums (this and Wolves in Wolves' Clothing). I highly recommend both. I would say this album is superior to Wolves, but not by much! Both are spectacular. Angry, pessimistic, clever, fast, original... I love it. From what I've heard of their earlier stuff, this album is alot less... well, stupid, and more meaningful. Something happened to NoFX. Something changed them. They're no longer indifferent, they're pissed; and the result is amazing. It makes me hope political and social change doesn't come too quickly!... which I'm sure defeats the purpose of writing this and Wolves. Get both and enjoy them before the right-wing neo-conservative military-industrial complex is overtaken by the left-wing pseudo-communist egalitarian-society of the future.

Nofx is funny, and political at the same time, I give this cd 4 stars. The reason being most of these songs you can buy on the regular records, they have. This is good for a best of, I got this for the sense of politcal humor, politics in general. Funny band

Well....I just got my first belly laugh of the day when I almost re-purchased this CD (my music collection got looted...its a heartbreaking tale for another time). While I don't think this is NOFX at its finest I do like the album a lot....b-sides...funny songs and some diamonds in the rough. In any event, I scrolled down the reviews below and noticed a one * review from "Darth Wader"...with a tip to check out the David Crowder Band 'cause "THEY are a band that will truly change your life". BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....isn't that the point? Stupid christian music artists (and their fans) are supposed to hate this band...it would be kind of like me writing reviews of crappy country music....guess what, nobody cares what I think about country music....and nobody cares what fans of the David Crowder Band thinks of NOFX...and trust me....the David Crowder Band WILL NOT cease your impending demise...so why even listen? Oh yeah....and the album is great...check it out!

NOFX was a punk band that have been playing together since the early 80s and i have to say have changed a hell of alot since then mostly,i think, because El Hefe entered the band. anyways to the review most of these songs werent on there other records, but are different versions of the ones on the record. the first disc is kick ass, the new song Pimps and Hoookers is great. Then the Misfits cover of Last Caress recorded for the Misfits tribute album is on here witch is excellent. and for the most part the whole first disc is really good. the second disc is a different story there all songs of them just f*cking up,the average song is like 45 seconds. i think there funny but they could of done with it hence the 4 star rating. but overall this is worth the 17 dollars.

This is really a good, interesting sounding album. That stretches from material over quite a few of NOFX's albums. This is an album to buy, only if your already familiar with NOFX. Don't buy this as your introduction to there music, since it is all over the place musically.

Personally I felt a lot of these songs would easily have been good enough to go on one of there other albums, such as "Drugs are Good". Great song.

My favorite tracks were Pimps and Hookers Drugs are Good, Bath of Least Resistance, Pods and Gods, Eat The Meek, New Happy Birthday Song, and Murder the Government.

I would recommend this album to all NOFX fans.

This is an AWESOME album for the NOFX fans out there..
Its cover is great, it comes with lots of nice things written in it that will get you busy for like an hour. There are many songs that I had never heard (nb: Ive got all NOFX albums). There are diferent versions of songs as well!
However, there are a few songs that are kinda old and therefore dont have a good sound quality...
This is a must have for anyone who likes NOFX!!
