Love Robin Thicke's new CD, Something Else. My favorite is Dream World. He's done it again - if you're a Robin fan, this is one you've gotta have.

Robin Thicke does it again. He has so much SOUL, it is unbelieveable. I am looking forward to his next CD already, can't get enough!

I am saddened that I didn't jump on this album sooner. I loved "The Evolution" and thought he couldn't top or even come close to the greatness of that album. I have been proven wrong and can't stop listening to "Loverman".

This is a very well done R&B album, and I give it the same rating as I would the original (Evolution of Robin Thicke) but it earns that distinction in a markedly different way.

Evolution impressed by having extraordinary stand out tracks (Can U Believe, 2 the Sky, Complicated, Teach U A Lesson, I need love and of course Lost without U) it also had songs that I skip over till today (Cocaine, Shooter, All Night long ...). My gripe with Evolution was that the pacing of the album is not so hot ... it goes from a nice slow jam like "I need love" to the craptastic "Wanna love u Girl" to the awesome "Can U Believe" back to "Shooter" and "Cocaine"

However, with "Something Else" what you get is a more mature and solidly R&B album than Evolution. The songs that resemble each other in tempo tend to cluster together more instead of being sprinkled all through the album ... and it makes for a more consistent listening experience.

None of the songs here really reach the heights of the ones on Evolution (standouts include Cry no more, Tie my hands, Loverman, Dreamworld, Ms Harmony) but they are pretty darned good.

The fact that the lows on this album aren't as 'low' as on Evolution, makes up for the fact that its highs are not as 'high' as on Evolution ... and thats okay with me, because it makes the album seem more complete.

Great CD!!! Robin Thicke is a truly remarkable singer/songwriter who invokes memories of the late great Marvin Gaye!!! As I listened to this CD, especially "Ms. Harmony", "Sweetest Love" and "You're My Baby", I was quietly swept back to the days when Marvin was soothing and grooving the world with his angelic voice. Kudos to you Mr Thicke, you have made me a huge fan!!!

Quick shipping and in in greate condition. Th only problem i have is that i got the original copy with the white cover and it advertised the gold cover otherwise im happy with the purchase. There wasnt any difference between the two just the idea.

What a nice surprise to her Robin Thicke's CD - had no idea I would enjoy his music so much.

I love this CD. I saw the video for "Lost Without U" on VH-1 one morning, and I knew I had to buy that CD. I think it is incredible. Yes he does the more popular and oftimes annoying R&B gimmick of teaming up with a hip-hop artist, but he manages to knock his collaborative song "All Night Long," with 'Lil Wayne, out the park. But he also has some wonderful introspective ballads like "Angel," the aforementioned "Lost Without You," and others. He also has some great mid-tempo songs like "I Wanna Love You Girl," which is a collaboration with one of my favorite producers The Neptunes, and the slower sexy and romantic "I Need Love" and "Teach U a Lesson." 'Can You Believe" is sort of in-between, not really mid-tempo, but not a slow song. But it's a great song, for sure. One of my favorites off this cd is "Complicated." Love the song, and wore it out last fall and into the winter. All the songs off this CD are great. "Cocaine" is a good song, but not a favorite of mine. "Shooter" is a rerelease from his first album, and is very infectiously funky. I'm not surprised that this album went platinum. You go, Robin.

i bought his first cd and there's no comparison. i listened to this cd everyday when i first purchased it, now it's in rotation in my stero at home. can't wait for his third cd.

I purchased this cd for my husband, who really likes Robin's music. I myself do not like his music at all. He would not stop playing it, so now he's only allowed to listen to it in the car, but he still breaks out in 'Robin song' in the house.
I deduce that if you like Robin, you would love this cd. If you don't like Robin, don't buy it for your spouse.

I was pleasantly surprised to find I enjoy almost every song on this CD - not just the one song I was looking for when I purchased it (When I get you Alone).

I was turned on to Thicke by a friend in early 2003 before the entire album was available. I was very intrigued by his sound and was excited about the release. I picked it up right away and it immediately became the continuously looped CD in my car. All the songs caught me right away and his voice is very sexy. If you like his most recent work, definitely take a listen to this and add it to your collection.

Love Oh Shooter, and it's "remake", Shooter, but to a lesser extent. I am not the biggest fan of Lil Wayne; he's unattractive, everywhere and his music doesn't hit the spot.

But the good songs don't even end there:

Beautiful World (insight, sadness, misery) I'm A Be Alright, The Stupid Things, When I Get You Alone, Flowers In Bloom, Lazy Bones and Suga Mama earn his smooth vocals a 4+ star rating.

I can't wait to hear from him again. He's great!

As a percussionist, I really appreciate music that provides a smooth groove. This album definitely does a good job of that. A classic R&B feel with a new funky vibe.

I am newly into Thicke and had to buy up all his music. This cd is great, funkier and younger. Fantastic R&B.

you should buy the cd because robin thicke cannot sing in real life. just go to one of his concerts and you will clearly see what i am talking about. if you want to keep the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you listen to his cd, do not go see him live. it will ruin everything.

Smooth rich and creamy in the delivery. Relaxing with tempo and a bit of tantrum.

Have you seen the album cover? And, have you related it to the titled, "The Evolution of Robin Thicke?" If you have, then you probably feel like me, what a creative move on Robin Thicke's behalf! On the album cover, Robin goes from crawling to standing, which is truly an evolution! That was definitely worth pointing out. Many people have told me to listen to this album because they felt that it was so good, and, while it's not quite as good as most are saying, it is definitely and good and solid LP. Most of the production is basic, but the lyrics and Thicke's magnificent falsetto help to bring this album up several notches.

The first songs released to radio were "Wanna Love You Girl" and "Lost Without You." "Wanna Love You Girl" is a good up-beat song produced by The Neptunes, but, honestly, it does not compare to "Lost Without You", for this song is nothing short of a masterpiece. I was hooked when I first heard the song. I immediately added it to my iPod. The beautiful guitar arrangement, Thicke's great delivery and the nice lyrics help to make this song one of the best heard in a very long time. "Would That Make You Love Me" and "Cocaine" are interesting pieces, but they are great moments on this album.

Robin Thicke is different, yet he somehow to conforms to the music industry. Therefore, all music listeners should pick up this album because it is sure to touch you.

Joni Mitchell's "Shine," Richard Buckner's "Meadow" and Brandi Carlile's "The Story" were all masterpieces, but Robin Thicke's "Evolution of Robin Thicke" came out of nowhere and conquered my CD player for a good part of 2007. Urban dance music for lovers. Recommended! And come to think of it, the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss collaboration "Raising Sand" was also great.

I couldn't agree more with a previous reviewer's comment about how this album crossed racial, gender & age lines to become one of the more popular r&b/pop albums of the summer! On a personal note, both my "20-something" cousin and her "50-something" mother tried to swipe my copy at a family barbeque!!!

Having bought and only recently appreciated Thicke's debut disc this was a most pleasant surprise as this album has a clearer focus and target audience than his debut which was musically all over the place.

My favorite tracks are:

CAN YOU BELIEVE - I can't believe this wasn't as big a hit as...

LOST WITHOUT YOU - beautifully sublime love song - a perfect storm kind of hit featuring the right lyrics, excellent music & vocal production and a smoking hot video

I NEED LOVE - another instant "quiet storm" hit

WANNA LOVE YOU GIRL - although the lyrics & Thicke's vocals are a bit "meh", I press the repeat button on this track mainly for the beats

THE SKY - one of the few songs where Thicke does not use his falsetto, he sings in his natural range and sounds great

GOT TO BE DOWN - I love the pairing of his vocals with Faith's, the music production and his vocal arrangement is reminiscent of Marvin Gaye

The other two songs that I like but not as much as the above list are:

SHOOTER - I really like the music arrangement more than the lyrics and

COCAINE - love the music arrangement and his layered vocal arrangement.

Overall I think this is a really enjoyable cd with Thicke showing good improvement as an artist and successfully nixing the sophomore jinx.

First of all, let me just say that I believe Robin Thicke is going to be a well noted upcoming Artist when he starts to get more Promotion, his CD Releases, and touring more around the world. Anyways, I can't lie, when I first heard "Wanna Love You Girl", I was a skeptical on who Robin Thicke was but after I started to listen to him more and more, I knew that he gonna be the next best thing. I like the fact that this CD has the regular Album Version of Wanna Love You Girl, the Instrumental, and the Accapella. Also, I am feeling the new single of his "I'm Not Loving You."

Been loving "Wanna Love You Girl" for awhile now, it's a hot song! I'm so glad that "I'm Not Loving You" is included, it's so beautiful! Go buy this! And buy "The Evolution of Robin Thicke"!
