I bought a couple of Tiesto's In search of sunrise discs (disc 3 and 4) and I didn't really like them. I didn't think Tiesto was a great DJ. I decided to give him another try and bought Elements of Life and Loved it and I bought many of his other CD's after that. I then decided to give ISOS one more shot and I bought the Aisa disc set and I was blown away. This is truly an amazing work.
The first disc is slower with lost of vocal (which I love) and the second Disc is much more up beat and has an epic trance feel.
I would highly recommend this album to anyone that loves Tiesto!!

Badly mixed 2 cd's. This cd mix compilation is just awful. The tracks would sound better if they would not be mixed by Tiesto, who is rather a pop star than a dj these days

Autumn is the time to come down and start to relax a little bit, after a summer with a lot of partys.

This CD ist good for some lovely background music while you and some friends are talking and drinking some red wine in the evening. Just relax and listen to the mix of Tiesto.

Tiesto has been always famous for spinning trance discs, if you like his trancey stuff listen to his Magik series.
Personally ISOS series are my favorite Tiesto stuff. They are little more laid back, more like progressive trance.
I own 1 through 7. I STRONGLY agree with Matthew Woron's review! Matthew, you hit it right! On the nose! After listening to every ISOS discs, my all time favorite is #4 second disc! I used to listen to that for weeks and weeks in my car. Never get tired of it. ISOS 4 is my favorite so far, hands down. This #7 instantly became my second favorite. Definitely worth purchasing.

So my recommendation from best ISOS to going are: 4,7,6,3,5,2,1. Way to go Tiesto! ISOS are some of my favorite techno CDs I own! And I have hundreds of them!

This is my 2nd favorite CD in 2008 (#1 is Cosmic Gate - Back 2 Back 3). The CD1 track 1&2 combo are my favorite tracks right now (basically track 2 but #1 is a nice intro to it). Good stuff.

I have all Tiesto's "In Search of Sunrise" CD's and this one is by far the best one, in my opinion!

Especially Disc 1! I keep listening to "Madras," "The Sun Shine," "See the Difference," and "Lonely" as I drive my daily commute.

Do you need music to relax you and get you in a positive energized mood? You just cannot top the "King of the Sawtooth Signal," Tiesto! And you will not find a better or more professionally mixed selection of uplifting Anthem Trance than this compilation Sunrise set 6!

Volume 6 of Tiesto's unimpressive series, In Search of Sunrise falls short again and is a disappointing follow up to his brilliant set featured on disc 2 of volume 5.

Disc 1 is in keeping with the series' theme of typically being on the softer side with plenty of vocals. The tracks are not aweful, but they are not that great either.

Disc 2 starts off well with a couple of great tracks including my favorite of the album, "What You Need" by Nic Chagail. This is followed by a host of mediocre tracks. Near the middle of the set, it reverts to the sound heard on disc 1 with a trio of female vocal tracks, "Falling", "Fall To Pieces", and "Imagination" which is disappointing. The set thankfully returns to a disc 2 feel after this and remains there to the end. However, Tiesto's track selection is far from spectacular.

If you are a big fan of Tiesto this disc will likely tickle your musical bone. Personal I think both are just average...but then again I think Tiesto's sets and him as a DJ are just average also.

Both disc 1 and disc 2 get 3/5 stars.

This CD goes a little in the way of ISOS 5 with the housy theme, but Tajs manages to keep the trance injected in most of the tracks. This CD is not what I expected, or hoped in a way, mainly because it's different. The first disc is more of a chill out low BPM Trance/House mash. The second disc gets slowly back into the Trance, but is by far my fav disc! Some really good tracks on both CD's. The remix of the Jes song on disc 2 is one of my fav.s. Once you get used to the lower BPM, which isn't normal for Tiesto, you get into it more, it's an adjustment, but deffinately a good buy.

Tiesto is an alternative to the broad array of music I listen to when it comes to Trance / Techno but I must say he still makes a goos album thats worth buying.

This CD starts with track #1 which is soothing vocals only - no music whatsoever throughout the whole track. Which I found to be very relaxing and it was a nice surprise to get. I thought I'd get all Trance music. The rest of the CD is very good but it's not a DJ mixed CD like others I've purchased in the past. The reason why I didn't give this CD 5 stars was a simple one but when most people listen to this CD, will agree with me that track #11 has a male's voice talking throughout the track and I think one time would've been sufficient but it goes on and on that when the track comes to its end, my mood changed from enjoying the CD to being annoyed by this male's voice talking. I thought DJ Tiesto had better taste and skills than to include this as Elements of Life.

Tiesto is a good producer but a better DJ. The tracks on here are pretty decent but the only one I REALLY liked a lot was "Break My Fall" and "In The Dark" was pretty good too.

I would agree that this album isn't as good as his previous efforts. The songs don't really stand out and grab you and stay with you throughout the day. They just don't leave that lasting impression. I say this because great albums usually stay in my player for weeks while this one has lasted a few days and i'm over it. A great example of a good album is his In My Memory release. While the sounds are sophisticated and solid, I just didn't think this particular album flowed as well.
Some songs that DID stand out were Bright Morningstar, Elements of Life, and Do you feel me. If your looking to find a floor banger like Adagio for strings, Traffic or Silence; Im afraid you won't find it here.
I do like some newer stuff Tiesto has put out like Allure - Somewhere inside of me and his remix of Cary Brothers - Ride. So its not like Tiesto is losing it as some people are mentioning on here. This album is decent and I wont argue that some think its great. It just didnt do it for me like his past albums thats all. Go buy it and judge for yourself. I mean, any real Tiesto fan will get it regardless.

I saw Tiesto in Vegas, then went straight to the store to buy this cd! It's Effing awesome!!!

I've never really been one to "collect every single piece of work that Tiesto comes out with. I enjoy some of his productions but some of them I'm left thinking, "What happened?" I was kind of dissapointed with some of this album and happy with others. But really, your best bet would be to get the remixed edition of this. Some of the tracks I didn't like on this turn out really well on the remixed.

supposedly i paid for a brand new copy of this cd but when i got it in the mail it was easy to tell the cd was previously owned, the case was cracked in several places and the cd had minor scratches all over it...the cd itself is great but do not buy from amazon.com unless you plan on buying used

I think Tiesto hit the hammer on the nail with this one. With his latest ISOS releases, I've found a few things to criticize like mixing or track selection and the fact that ISOS 4-6 don't sound like what an ISOS should be-- melodic, relaxed, and basically one long sonic journey.
With ISOS 2, Tiesto got the formula just right. Of course, nowadays he doesn't mix music like this anymore. This is classic Tiesto trance--- and excellent trance at that. The song selection is impeccably well-placed and I think this ISOS does the best job at capturing the Summer-Ibiza feel Tiesto may have intended.

After several years of listening to this CD, it still sounds as fresh as it did the day I first purchased it. Sure, music like this isn't produced anymore, but I would highly recommend this CD to any Tiesto fan or trance fan in general. Some of the standout tracks include Summerbreeze, Eugina (Michael Woods Remix), Delirio (Venux Mix) and Tyrantanic (Slacker's Kingdom Come Mix).

This is my favourite ISOS, and in my opinion, the best mixed album Tiesto has released. Putting the ISOS in order, I'd rank them: 2,3,1,4,5.

I am rapidly accumulating the complete works of DJ Tiësto. It is perfect trance-out music for those long programming sessions.

In Search Of Sunrise is the greatest trance compilation ever made. It is the eternal representation of great trance. Having said that, I can now review In Search Of Sunrise 2.

The album art is awesome. The movie poster concept is clever. Tiësto has a great marketing team.

As for the mix, I've found that it helps to divide DJ Tiësto's compilations into movements, because I'm sure he does. Some songs aren't meant to take you over the top. Some are. Some songs work together to build tension for a powerful, explosive song approaching. Some songs are powerful and explosive. Tiësto knows how to use different types of trance songs to create a mix that is HIS. He is a master at this.

The first movement is fantastic. It begins ethereal and dreamy, and through the first three tracks there is a brooding feeling.

Tastexperience by Tantrix is an excellent introduction to the mix. It represents the style and mood of the In Search Of Sunrise (ISOS) series. It has the island feel Tiësto is revered for. As it fades out and LN Movement's Golden Desert (Part 2) is revealed explosively, feelings of nostalgia for the first ISOS are evoked. At this point I am impressed. This is what I expect after the first ISOS. This is a summer mix. Once Kamaya Painter's Summerbreeze comes on, it's obvious that the first two tracks are only a build. Summerbreeze is beautiful. I have to give it up for Kamaya Painters on this track, which means I am actually praising Tiësto and Benno De Goeij, who together ARE Kamaya Painters. The melodies here are precisely what make great trance. The build, the clashes, the keys... this is the trance that I love. So far, the mixing is flawless. At the end of the first movement, the mix seems to transform from trance to house. Vocals are introduced. Rui Da Silva's Touch Me is a good track with a melody that allows it to mix well with this compilation, but it's not a great song. The vocals and lyrics are mediocre. I expect only the best from the ISOS series. This is good, but not Tiësto good. I did, however, smile when thinking about the song placement in comparison to the first ISOS; this song is similar to Billie Ray Martin's Honey, which is track three on that mix. Anyway, Touch Me made me skeptical. The mix seems to be going somewhere, then Tiësto takes a detour with Touch Me. Why? I don't know

As touch me ends the mixing gets heavy and dramatic I realize I'm being swept into the second movement. The Michael Woods mix of Eugina by Salt Tank scraps the previous song and takes the mix right back to where it belongs. This is amazing trance song! Echoing snares, soaring vocals, the ebb and flow of dense subterranean techno melodies... YES! I'd like to shake Michael Woods' hand. The mix into Cass & Slide's Perception is heavy like the last mix, and I dig the style. Tiësto cautiously mixed the songs through the first movement, but in the second movement he takes over and charges ahead boldly. Perception comes in, hits a break, and the game continues. You have to love the robotic sounds on this track. The bass line on this track is deep, even for trance. The song tricks you... you think it's going one way, then another break comes and in the vocals drop. Wow. Here is another beautiful vocal trance song. "Search and you will find the answer... if you look deep inside of your mind... you can see forever... rise up together." Now that is dance floor ecstasy. Perception ends almost abruptly and in drops Mekka's Diamondback. The vocal trance delight continues. This song is insane. Take a drive on a country road and listen to this song as loud as you can for an amazing experience. Lucid's mix of BT's Dreaming comes on next and the texture of the mix is changed again. The sound effects here are awesome. The ticking clock, the panning, the creaking doors, the chimes: I love this song. Tiësto knows how to compile great vocal trance songs like no other. With this song the second movement is ending...

And with the Venus Mix of Baracoa's Delirio the third movement blooms. This song... man... this song gives me goosebumps. The build is like no other. This is deep trance. This is a classic. Songs like this are what give the ISOS series it's enigmatic quality. You might as well just burn the house down for this one. The vocals are intoxicating. Delirio takes me away. At this point I'm sold on the mix. The next track is a remix of Fortress's An Angel Saved My Life. The sounds here remind me of Paul Oakenfold's Tranceport. The trance here is hard, heavy, and dense. It's good, but it's one of my least favorite tracks on the album. It gets serious quick, but there is no distinct build. It does however, mix superbly with the Marc O' Tool Remix of Ballroom's 4 AM, which I think is the reason why Tiësto used it. Ballroom is a cool song, but it doesn't have the power of the previous songs on the mix. It does have a unique style that makes this ISOS mix even more eclectic. As Coast 2 Coast's Home comes on, I understand the purpose of the previous two tracks. Tiësto was building. This is why I like to group his mixes into movements. Home is another great track because of its uplifting melody and its quick build to an all-business breakdown.

The business continues right into Slacker's Kingdom Come Mix of Breeder's Tyrantanic without a breath of air to relax. Then... BOOM! The beat drops and there is silence. The fourth and final movement is crowded, dense, heavy, busy, and every other adjective you can think of that is opposite of free and airy. Tiësto ends his mix with pure progressive trance. The builds aren't epic and sudden. They're constant and relentless. The beat just keeps going. The breaks don't even feel like breaks. The vocals are gone. This all describes Max Graham's Airtight, and the title fits perfectly. Tiësto suffocates you in the last movement. I just know that I can't stop bobbing my head. The song takes you higher and higher and higher and higher... then proceeds to the most elaborate breakdown of the entire mix. It doesn't send you away in the ecstatic build-explode-jump off way that trance typically does. It doesn't make you feel like you just got off like never before. It doesn't take you away with heavenly vocals and melodies.

It leaves you in a trance.

This CD is so great. If you are a fan of Tiesto, your in for a treat. With album art right out of Panama City, in Central America. Really awesome!

Tiesto has stuck with his style and darker shades of trance. Some new sounds and new melodic progression is heard in this album making a few tracks very good while the rest of the album is just average. As long as Tiesto doesn't move into that male vocal trance stuff that ATB, Paul Van Dyke and Armin Van Buuren has gotten into, he should hold his own. This album is OK, doesn't really have any heavy hitters except for In Search of Sunrise and a couple other tracks that are very re-playable.

Wow, where do I begin? As an owner of almost every Tiesto CDs owner this is one the best Tiesto CD out there! Need I say more?
But if you like faster stuff that he spins, stay with Magik series.
If you need to calm down a bit, enjoy the relaxed flavor of his ISOS series, this CD will take you there.
As all 6 ISOS series owner, this is close second best CD right behind #4. Why why why this CD is only a single CD saddens me because #3 is spectacular! It's still worth owning it. Trust me!

How this guy consistently ranks near the top (or on the top) of the World DJ rankings baffles me. Regardless, he loves what he does, has a massive fan base, plays music that appeals to both genders, and puts on very flashy shows when he tours. A brilliant recipe for success and a substantial income.

This album is your standard set from Tiesto. Trance and multiple tracks featuring female vocals. Appealing to the masses (and there is nothing wrong with that) but not appealing for my electronica tastes. I just had to check out a few of his earlier albums after being completely taken aback and impressed by disc 2 of his In Search of Sunrise 5. I wish he would mix up more sets like that. If Tiesto is your DJ and you love his sets, then I'm sure you will love this one too (if you don't already have it).

IF YOU LIKE TO SUFFER AND ENJOY TORTURE THEN BUY THIS ALBUM, TIESTO PLEASE I BEG YOU, GO AWAY AND LEAVE US ALL ALONE> The almighty god of the sound of torment gives us one more reason to hate him. Do not be decieved, this album and any other with his name on it will leave you wondering who this fool is!! if you want something nice buy AVB 2006 or DEEP TRANCE produced by water music records.

I've listened to teck-ish music since Nintendo 8 bit. (there are a lot of unsung heros in 8 bit gaming music). But anyway, i know what i like... this cd set is what i like. there are a number 1, 2, and 3 star reviews for this album. they all seem angry and seeminly wish that tiesto had not explored other avenues. i have no idea hwhat these people do or their taste but they missed the make here. this mix is nothing short of brilliant. tiesto is a master. i am not a huge fan of isos 5 disc 2 but isos4 is an amazing ride... the poor reviews say tieso this- tiesto that... he didn't make this music, he just combines it, and that he did... well this is a total latin trance trip that hits the mark. each of the isos mixes absorb the feeling of an area. this mix captures latin america perfectly. it's a beatiful cd.

Of the 5 ISOS albums released, this is the best by far. BTW, ISOS5 sucks

AGAIN TIESTO GIVES US ONE MORE REASON TO HATE HIM, WHY CAN"T HE JUST GO AWAY AND LEAVE US ALL ALONE?

This is my first Tiesto CD that I heard. IMO It's a very good House CD. Not as laid back as I would have liked to call it a trance CD.

This is yet again, a great CD by Tiesto. However, I still liked Panama better, although just slightly, and so I think that this album deserved a four out of five stars. I love Tiesto's stuff, so I hope he keeps on pullin through!

I haven't heard all of Tiësto's CD's, but out of the 4-5 I have heard this is my favorite so far.

I just listened to this CD for the first time in several years.
All I got to say is "WOW!" Tiesto or any dj could spin these tracks
in a club now and the crowd will still go wild!

I'm not going to elaborate very much on this purchase. I thought it was below par. The only mix I cared for was BT's "Mercury & Solace", which I already have. The rest of the CD was fair--nothing earthshaking as far as I'm concerned.

I now own all 5 in the ISOS saga, volume one being the last I acquired. It fits right in with the rest as far as quality Tiesto mixes.

In Search of Sunrise is remarkable. Track after track the sweetness just refuses to leave me alone. The opening is epic and makes me get goosebumps. Tiësto has a made a powerhouse of an album. This CD is ridiculously satisfying to drive to. Oh man, Tiësto is just the man. Calling Your Name is bliss. All of the Sunrises and all of the Magiks must be heard. But this one -this is absolute essential trance. No one can top this.

I was driving one night from Tucson AZ when I first listened to this compilation. It was a full moon night and cool weather; I had the moon roof of my 4runner all the way open, and the first CD was blasting trough my speakers. Then "moonlight party" started to play, wow...I almost wanted to get out of my car and dance like a mad man in the middle of the desert. Whenever I listen to that song it reminds of that night. But that is just one personal experience; I love all the songs from both CDs, I think the track selection is excellent and of course the mixing is flawless. I also love the front cover, it reminds me of the time I lived near LA and I remember that view of the buildings when you are driving on the fwy. Almost every song makes me think of some place in LA; and I believe that's what Tiesto intends with the ISOS compilations, to transport us the listeners through music to places we have been or places we wish to be. I'm from latin america, so the ISOS 4 is very special for me also. Well, if you are a fan of Tiesto, you should already have this one. Now if you are new to this type of music, I really recommend any of the ISOS compilation, as I said before this music really takes you into a journey and it's very nice music to bring in your car if you are driving alone on a long trip, or just to listen in your home to relax.

This CD is quite possibly my favorite CD of all time. There are a few people I know who have made it a point to me that they do not like techno, yet still like this CD when I play it for them. It has an uniquely artistic quality about it which separates it from other techno/trance. Most of the tracks are definitely not something you would hear at a club. As a whole the CD is smooth with less of the thumping bass I'm used to when I hear club music. ISOS Vol.5 has a fair share of stand-out tracks such as "Empty Streets", "Your Loving Arms", "Moonlight Party" and "Color my Eyes" but it is also just great to chill and listen to the whole way through and flows very well. I really can't say enough for this CD.

IMPORTANT: You may not like this CD the first time you hear it but you absolutely have to give it 3 listens and there is a good chance you will like it. This is just the way Tiesto's music works which I have verified this with several people. I often don't like his CDs the first or second time I listen to them but his music grows on you out of nowhere. I didn't even like this CD the first time I listened to it and now it might be my all-time favorite CD.

This CD lasted about 3 days in my car before I shelved it to never be listened to again. I just could not grow into it. I have done better mixing myself, its so sub par from what we are used to with Tiesto. I hope he never does something this boring again. Whatever happened to the days of Magik Vol 6? Its what you get here, boring, uncreative mixing. The fan boys will love it of course because it has the Tiesto logo. If you want a good trance CD, I suggest something else. This is an awful CD.

This is my favorite CD of all time. It's been in my car CD player ever since I bought it. I love the haunting vocals and melodic sounds. A very memorable CD. All my friends went out and bought this after hearing it in my car. It's a must havez for trance addicts.

cd1 has a couple decent tracks but cd2 is solid all up until the last track, id say cd2 counts as one of his top 3 best mixes.

All of the songs on this CD were beautifully well made. There are no complaints about this CD masterpiece.

Just be in my opinion is the best album ever released by tiesto. It starts of so smoothley with 'Forever today' and ends so brilliantly with 'Adagio For Strings' If you like Tiesto or if you never heard of him before BUY THIS CD. It is truly an unforgettable expierience and shows why Tiesto is ranked as one of the top DJ's in the world.

EXCELLENT...took a while to receive, but definitely worth the wait!

Another torrent of mild tripe from everyone's "favourite" DJ, Tiesto.
What on earth is he going to do when the supply of inane, pastel-coloured eurovomit dance music runs out?
When I think about the number of times I've heard him touted as "World's Number One Best Voted DJ" or "DJ Mag Top 100 Finalist", you'd start to think that the man can actually mix records, when in fact rather than mix them, he tends to grind them together roughly into a nightmarish aural paste then reconfigure them violently in new, unusual and horrendously nauseating forms. I can absolutely confirm this. I have had the startling and displeasing experience of witnessing it live.
The sad truth of the matter is, that there are any number of drug-addicted fluoro-pants-wearing 16 year old ravers out there, and all are quite willing to buy boring rubbish like this. Or at least all are prepared to ask their mum and dad to buy it for them for xmas.
I sign off in disgust.

I'll be the first to admit that I think DJ Tiesto is one of the most overrated and montoneous DJ's that is still actively spinning and mixing today. Despite my bias towards the guy's musical tastes and lack of depth, I'll still listen to whatever he produces out of sheer curiousity.

Nyana is a fair album that swaps his usual pattern of disc 1 being more tranquil and disc 2 being the "club-E" mix seen with his ongoing series, In Search of Sunrise (since it began featuring two discs).

Disc 1 is driven by Tiesto's love for the four-on-the-floor beat. A trio of nice tracks open the set up, but not too much more impressive sound from there on.

Disc 2 is mellow and has a lot of above average tracks in my opinion. It is loaded with melodic trance and does not have an overbearing tempo driving the set as with the first disc. The first 7 tracks are very well laid out.

Disc 1 gets 3/5 stars, and disc 2, 3.5/5 stars.

Tiesto is a master of the trance game. He knows how to choose tracks, he knows how to mix them and he knows how to move the listener. There are moments where I wanted to give this five stars, moments where I wanted to give it three stars.

Though the first four tracks of CD 1, as commented on by many already, are challenging to sit through, at least he tried something different. But beyond this it ventures into familiar terrain. With the exception of track 6, one of the most beautiful pieces of electronica I've heard, up there with Albion's "Air" (as found on Oakey's GU New York) or Derek Howell's "Your Touch" (as found on Nick Warren's GU Shanghai), there are no stellar tracks that stand out, just a consistent, pleasing mix. The second disc is the more consistent but it just enhances what is heard on the first disc.

To a large extent Tiesto has become predictable, kind of like Oakenfold in the sense that he has found that certain sound that appeals to a large number of people and takes the safe route. Tiesto often takes tunes found elsewhere on other mixes but takes them and reworks them into his own mix, his own flow, and it takes on a different sound. But it is still the same recycled tunes. And I found out that he is in cahoots with Reebok sponsoring his name for DJ shoes. Sell out. That is when I thought to give it three stars.

But I just let the two CDs play and there is something about his sound that just takes the me away. It flows, it lifts, it inspires. It's Tiesto doing what he does best and it is hard to argue with the sound he creates. After all, it is about the music. It is easy to pop this mix in and let it play and be carried away for awhile.

Tiesto is the guy to turn to if you wish to introduce someone to the trance/techno sound. As always Tiesto is a safe bet.

I can't believe I haven't made a review about this in the past but I'm back now!

This is a solid 2 disc album.

First disc is great but starts up slow which for me I really didn't care.

Second disc is for vocal fans if you hate music with vocals burn this disc down! But I really enjoyed this disc. It has the legendary song Beautiful Things.

Overall get this cause trance is changing now a days and this one is a solid album. For those that love trance will like the EVERYTHING about this album.

this set contains some of the best trance, and especially vocal trance i've ever heard. Its a bit dissapointing to listen to a really good song and then hear a really crappy song after. BUT THATS WHY WE HAVE BUTTONS ON OUR STEREO. TRUST me, a really good CD. In search of Sunrise 4 compares but I cant decide which is better. CD 2 is wayy better than cd 1.
Andain- beautiful things (gabriel & dresden mix) is by far the best song on the cd and in the world!!!!

Without getting too much into it this Album is pretty good. 4 stars for some bad ass tracks. My favs are Tears from the moon, Beautiful things , As the rush comes. All in all worth the money.
