Tim McGraw

McGraw is one of those singers who has just enough country to be a star in the genre with the songs and talent to appeal to those who are not big on country music. "Something Like That," "I Like it I Love it," are two songs that are catchy, fun, and high energy.

When I received the cd, it was severely scratched. The first song played and I was very happy until the second song started and skipped threw the whole song, so I skipped it to track four and it was scratched there as well. I ended up throwing the cd away.

Now I never liked country till I heard Garth Brooks "The Thunder Rolls" song and I thought that was amazing till I heard this album from Tim McGraw...he blew my one fave country song to smitherines with an awesome display of what country should be...now I will not claim to be a huge country music fan nor pretend I know whats hot or not ....but this album takes you everywhere on the emotional map...

I already have this CD but it's never where I want it to be (car or home) so I decided to buy another so Tim can be hanging out with me more of the time :)

I bought this album for my husband for Valentine's Day because "My Best Friend" was our first dance song at our wedding. It turns out the whole album is great!

Tim McGraw, in my opinion, is the best. This compact disc contians some of his hits. Tim, being the son of Tug McGraw, is not half bad either. Tim's music contains songs that anyone can relate to. From the sensitive "Grown Men Don't Cry," to the song "Everywhere" which Tim shows his creative way of showing his love for his fans.

This compact disc stays in my player all the time.

Once again I love Tim and this didn't leave me wondering why I purchased it. Good buy

It seems like every time I turn around Tim McGraw is releasing another Greatest Hits CD. The difference between McGraw and some of the other artists that keep releasing recycled hits, is that McGraw has such a steady string of hits that he has excellent new material for each offering. Greatest Hits # 2 features 16 great songs, many of which highlight McGraw's smooth voice and incredible selection of songs. He continually chooses songs that seem to resonate with people. From ballads to faster songs, McGraw seems to be at home in most styles. Not many artists can sound just as at home with Faith Hill and Nelly. My personal favorites are: The Cowboy in Me, Red Ragtop, and My Little Girl. There is not a bad song in the bunch. This is 5 star excellence from McGraw.

It's Tim...its good but could be better. Would I buy it again? Probably not.

I like it. I love it!! Come on what's wrong with this collection. I would agree the 1st greatest hits isn't really his greatest. Greatest hits 2 and this one 3 are great. I think this one is better than greatest hits 2.

I am not fond of rock n roll; but "Nine Lives" is growing on me. What about the song," You Find Out Who Your Friends Are" with Tracy Lawrence. What's with all the bad reviews? Tim's last two cd's have been weaker. I had the "Live Like Your Dying" album and really didn't care for it. Don't get me wrong. The self entitled track is awesome. It's just the other material doesn't really grip me. His last album really doesn't hit me either. I think the best of the best of the last album is on this album.
Songs such as: "Let It Go" and "Last Dollar." "If Your Reading This" is darn good too.

This is a well priced cd and includes some new songs. It is well worth just buying this even for the song with Tracy Lawrence- "You Find Out Who Your Friends Are." I previewed Tracy Lawrence's album, "For The Love" and didn't care for it. This is the one with "You Find Out Who Your Friends Are."

How about "Back When"? This is a good song reminding us what it used to be like in our childhood days. How the world has changed. I miss back when. The only thing I don't miss about back when is that this great music wasn't around. We can thank Tim McGraw for bringing good music to our lives as well many other country singers.

Yes there are other songs on this album from previous older ones that should have been on his 1st and 2nd greatest hits but oh well! This is decent material. I recommend it to people who like Tim Mc Graw and for the casual listener as well.

Really good mix would def agree this would go better with one and two, which I ordered, but you can't go wrong with Tim

This was in my stcoking at Christmas. My wife knows I like Tim McGraw, having GH I & II, and this is not an expensive CD. There are a number of good songs on the CD and maybe one real dog. It is not a great GH CD but we have all seen worse. Did the label push this out to make some money? Many think so and might be right. On the other hand, there are some real good tracks on the CD and I like Tim McGraw.

My belief here is that Curb Records has totally disrespected Tim McGraw by releasing a greatest hits package that he did not want to be released yet. I believe Tim McGraw wanted his all-new cd out first before this so that when the time came this package could have been handled properly. Shame on you Curb Records. I am R-D and i don't approve your message.

I love Tim McGraw and I love all of the tracks on the cd. There is a great variety of songs, and tempos. If you love Tim McGraw, you will love this cd.

Now I have this CD here and I like it very much.
I like the way all the songs feel like he is talking to me. I can relate to all most all of his songs.

What can I say. Tim has never dissappointed me. This ones a keeper. Love Him!!

"Let It Go," is not the best country CD you will hear. Nor is it the worst. What it just might be is the stepping stone to the next chapter in Tim McGraw's career - the chapter where he's taken seriously as an artist.

No more barbecue stains on his white t-shirt and that makes some of you sad, doesn't it? Well, I guess Tim could stay the same as he was twenty years ago and we could all go back to high school and the world could stop evolving. Tim's an artist and he's trying to become a better one. This record is a huge step in the right direction.

He shows on so many of the tracks that he can convey so many different emotions other than sappy love or high school reminiscing. It's the same metamorphosis that George Strait went through and moved his career right along through the stratosphere, and I believe McGraw will accompany him.

Strong songs, strong vocals, bold new direction for Tim.

I thought this cd was about avergae after my first few listens; yet several months later (and about a million more listens), this cd has really grown on me. Tim's voice has the ability to make the best of avergae material; if you give this cd a few listens, his voice will captivate you and make you fall in love - with him and his songs.

My favorite songs on "Let It Go" are "I'm Working", "Whiskey and You", "Between the River and Me", "Kristofferson" and "Put Your Loving on Me". "Put Your Loving on Me" is my favorite song on this cd as this displays Tim at his best - raw, sexy, and sensual! A must add to you Tim McGraw collection.

I love Tim, I could never write anything negative about him, but I am disappointed that the packaging was paper, and not a tin as it appeared to be in the picture. I could've saved $7 and bought it from walmart, but I thought it was coming in a collector's tin. Guess I need to be more observant of pictures :(

As usual, Tim hits it out of the park. Great to just sit back and have this playing while I am on the keyboard.

I've always liked Tim's songs and have collected his albums over the years. But this album really hit me with the title track, "Live Like You Were Dying". Four years ago I was diagnosed with an incurable disease which takes 20% of us who have it. So after hearing this song, I looked at this illness a little differently.

It took me these past 4 years to come out of the depression from the bad news. This summer I finally felt up to doing things again, so we used this song as our summer theme. I'd been skydiving before, and this illness already seems like 8 seconds of bull riding, so we didn't have to do those. But we went Rocky Mountain climbing. And went Hood and Rainier climbing, and we went Alaska Mountain climbing. I had to prove to myself that I can still do stuff like that again. And we did it for a good cause, for charity, "Summitting for the Bipolar Cure - 2007".

You know, I look back to when I was younger. When I was perfect. When I thought that ill people should just, "get over it, work a little harder, and achieve what everybody else was achieving." But I've learned a lesson the hard way that sometimes it ain't always that easy.

Thanks for recognizing all of us with chronic deadly diseases and giving us a more positive way of looking at it. You got a good heart, man.

You don't have to like country to love Tim McGraw's music. And this is by far his best album yet. My favorite two songs are "Live Like You Were Dyin'" and "Drugs or Jesus." Both tunes compel you stop, listen and ponder your life every time you hear them played. "How Bad Do You Want It" and "Everybody Hates Me" are fun songs you can't help but raise the volume and play them loud. I had to buy this CD twice because I played it so often I scratched it up!

Mr. Faith Hill rocks and kicks butt again with the memorable DO YOU WANT FRIES WITH THAT?. I heard this album in the jukebox in my local pub and it kicks major rear! I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this album won Grammys. What the hell? Half of one of the most popular country couples deserves them,right?

When "Live like you were dying" first came out, I had just found out that I had Cancer and I was scared to death. He really made me think about life and everything around me. this CD came to me in like new condition, and i listen to it all the time.

I discovered the film, "Home On The Range" while watching another Disney video with my, at the time, four year old son. After every trailer that looks interesting I ask his opinion and if he gives it a, "thumb's up" I make a mental note to purchase the video (now DVD) from our good friends at Amazon.com as a gift for, "the little stinker".

The first time we actually watched the movie we had a grand time with my boy roaring with laughter at the funniest bits and singing and dancing along with the two most upbeat musical numbers in the soundtrack. My sources tell me that this might have been the most poorly recieved animated Disney feature film ever made. I even heard a rumor that it cost so much to make while generating so little revenue that it got certain younger members of Disney's top management to consider discontinuing ALL animated feature film production! I don't get it.

The film is well written and equally well cast. The pacing is great and the story line intriguing. And the soundtrack? The musical numbers are all captivating with those upbeat numbers truly catchy and the ballads equally moving. (Any time my now five year old son can't get out of bed for school we just pop on the Randy Quaid number "Yodel-Adle-Eedle-Idle-Oo" and he's up, dancing and singing along with the number in a shot.) Disney hired some of country and western's top artists to deliver truly outstanding performances in a truly great original soundtrack.

Buy the DVD for the kids and then get them this CD. You'll be surprised how much they enjoy both. (And you'll be even more surprised at how much you enjoy them too!)

My 2 year old son and I love this soundtrack! The songs are catchy and well sung! Of course, the movie is great too!

Well, I love this movie but not very. When I saw the poster of this movie for the first time, I thought it would be ordinary and very noisy, but when I watched it, I found it was so humorous! And the song in this movie were good! After I listened to the songs "Little Patch of Heaven" and "Wherever the Trail May Lead", I decided to buy this album. In this album, I heard Alen Menken's voice for the first time and I thought it was perfect! I love the song "Will the Sun Ever Shine Again" too. But I don't know why that I love so many songs in this soundtrack, but I don't like this album very much.

I think the music is why I like the movie so much. It is fun and entertaining and "Patch of Heaven" puts me in a good mood as I listen to it just before I go into work. Who doesn't need that? Admittedly, I only listen regularly to the first six or seven tracks (they are the ones with lyrics with the exception of the last song but I don't care for that version) but I still love this CD.

Just listening to the music and watching the movie makes me think about how the Walt Disney Company use to make their movies like Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and 101 Dalmations.

I thought the movie was just as spirited and charming as those older Disney classics. Sure it's no Lion King or Beauty and the Beast, but it's as good as any other Disney classic I saw as a child growing up with those films. Even the songs are pure disney magic with "Little Patch of Heaven" which is pure sunshine. Randy Quaid's yodeling is a hoot, Bonnie Raitt does a wonderful job with "Will the Sun Ever Shine Again?" I also enjoy Tim McGraw's song of "Wherever the Trail May Lead" and "Anytime You Need a Friend" sung by Alan Menken. Sometimes those two songs make me cry my heart out. If you like country or old-fashioned disney music, then you'll pretty much enjoy the songs and score on this soundtrack.

As a Tim McGraw fan, I try to love all of his music but this is one of my least favorite CDs by McGraw. Ironically, I really love the first two songs on this CD, "Cowboy in Me" and "Telluride"; "Cowboy in Me" has become one of my all-time favorite songs. Nevertheless, after those two songs, the rest of "Set This Circus Down" was mediocre at best - I am not a fan of the songs after track #2. After "Telluride", the songs here sound repeatative and generic; like anyone could have sung them. And there is a very obvious shift in the sound on "Set This Circus Down" compared to some of of McGraw's earlier work, which may bother people.

Get this CD if you are a McGraw fan; if not, you may want to skip this one.

Wow what a wonderful CD. One of my friends gave this to me shortly before my faïence and I broke up. Every song on here spoke to me and I cried freely through most of it. Especially "You get used to somebody", and "Why we said goodbye". That one line "I just had to call you, I had to hear your voice; and tell you still love you, we still have a choice". And "Everything I do leads me back to you". So perfectly described how I felt. Tim has such feeling and emotion in his music. I just have fallen in love with it and can't really put into words how it makes me feel. It's nice to have music that speak directly to my soul. This is just a wonderful CD and the first I've ever owned where I loved EVERY song on it. Most of the time I'll buy a CD for 3, maybe 4 songs. This one I don't have to push the next button ever!! Thank you Mr. McGraw.

The songs on this album are melodic and I like the stories that they tell. I like this particular album better than most of Tim's other albums.

I was a little hesitant to buy an album by a big star. But, this cd is great! All tracks are good. My best is FORGET ABOUT US and the title song. Great sound and production. This would interest country, pop, folk, and rock fans. A CAN'T MISS!

This is Tim McGraw's BEST album yet. I love "Angel Boy", "Cowboy In Me", "Telluride" (since I ski there), "Grown Men Don't Cry" and "Angry all the Time". Of course all the songs are AMAZING, but those are the best. There is not one song on this album that I skip over, which I do A LOT when I listen to other CDs. If you are looking to purchase a Tim McGraw album get this one. Trust me, I have every Tim McGraw album.

I think just about every Album he puts out now has killer tunes that is going to win him tons of recognition. I didn't realize that Country music was going to doctor up Dancehall music. Must be a country dancehall and not reggae

I love Tim McGraw on this cd; the lyrics, the voice, the Dancehall Doctors - it all comes together perfectly. Tim is real, sexy and raw on this cd and this is my favorite Tim McGraw cd to date!

My favorite songs are "She's My Kind of Rain" and "Real Good Man" and I feel that this - by far - has some of Tim's best work on one cd. I love, Love, LOVE "Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors"; it's a must have for every country collection!

If you've ever seen Tim in concert, you know how great this band is. Darren Smith is one of my favorite guitar players of all time. He and Tim have a chemestry on stage that carries over very well in studio... Along with the rest of this band.
Here's a small review of a great CD.

The Songs:

Comfort Me is an upper-mid tempo song that was recorded in the wake of the September 11th attacks on our home land. Very patriotic song, but unlike any others that came out around this time. Tells the listener about the the great things that are a part of our country, no war, no negativity at all.

Tickin' Away is a little slower, tempo-wise, that the first track, but is no less powerful. Tim talks here about this figurative and literal staring at a clock on the wall as the hands keep moving and life ticks away. The stuborn man sits and waits for miss perfect to walk back into his life, but is realizing slowly, that its not going to happen.

Home. What about this one? Its just like the title says. Its a southern style country song about coming back to visit your family. The descriptions are priceless. This song paints one beautiful picture after another. Mostly acoustic, very country.

Red Ragtop starts off with Bob Minner pluckin' the banjo, as another of the more country sounding songs on this record slowly works its way to go. A mid-tempo song about a love that happened when the 2 were young, and didnt know everything yet. The memories of the good things and the bad things that come with the mistakes that most of us made when we were late-teenageers. Even though the love is long gone, every time that car drives by, she in it... If only for a moment.

That's Why God Made Mexico is a country ballad that ties in a couple different stories of love gone wrong and hard times that are cured only by a simple trip accross the border. A trip to the place with the white sands and the tiki huts that make you forget all about your problems and hardships, to only have to live for the moment. Lighthearted lyrics are rarely turned into such a heartfelt song as this one.

Watch the Wind Blow By is a great slow love song about just letting the world go by as the 2 just stare into each-others eyes and think about nothing but being in love. This song is the perfect example of the love that you can see Tim and Faith sharing. It's also a great song to slow-dance to.

Illegal. Turn it up! A country rocker with a simple lyric about the girl that you cant keep your eye off of. The addition of Don Henley and Timmy Schmidt on harmony vocals make this song sound very much like something you heard on a late 70's Eagles' record, but with that unmistakable Tim McGraw rock n country sound.

Sleep Tonight is another mid-tempo song about making the night at hand last and last. Tim belts out his love for his current situation, and how badly he doesnt want to call it a night. It's a fun lyric, not slow by any means, but you might still get away with singing this one to you best girl.

I Know How to Love You Well. This one is another one of those slow country ballads. The man in this song continually proffesses his undying love to the girl. The song is musically tight... Something you might have come to expect out of the typical nashville studio band.

Sing Me Home. A pause, and a moment of relection is needed after this song... OKay, now back to the review. This song is a slow, mellow, southren rock style ballad about getting back to your roots. The carachter in the song talks about hearing his song after being gone for so long. Weather figurative, or literal, it is unknown, but he openly asks the listener to let that song sing him back to where he's from... Back to simpler times. Back to the life he's always loved.

She's My Kind of Rain is a loud country ballad full of figurative statements that help to tell the world how the singer feels about the woman he loves. The lyrics may be hard for the casual listener to follow, but each verse, each line in fact, paints a great picture. Very colorful song.

Who Are They Is an up-tempo country rock song that asks one simple question... Who are these people who make up all these rules that society is supposed to abide by. Everyone always says "They say your not supposed to lalalalala..." Whatever. Tim's mad here, and rightly so. This song is about breaking out, getting away from the mold that society as a whole has conformed to. Great song pick here.

Real Good Man is a rocker. In the style of Renegade from Tim's early days, this is the most guitar-driven song on the album. The singer tells the girl that even though he's a gentleman, that he still knows how to party. Or, as Tim says in the song, he may be a real bad boy, but he's deffinatly a real good man.

All We Ever Find is a mid-tempo ballad that seems to touch lightly on not knowing what the world hold for the future. And as such, the man is telling the girl to lay it all on the line, to be completely honest and open about everything, so the relationship can keep moving forward on its way to forever. In case forever doesnt come. That way, no time is wasted on things that dont mean a thing. Another really tight song musically, as are the lot on this album it seems.

Tiny Dancer is a great rock n roll remake of a classic by Elton John. This song, even tought from a country band, rock harder and louder than Elton's original ever did. This song was even used as the opener on the tour to support Tim's previous stufio effort.

All in all, this album is by far, the best that Tim has done up to this point. The fact that this album is the effort of an entire band shows in the way it sounds. These men are obviously a close knit group of musicians that have benn around each other for a while. They have a chemistry that is not unlike that of some of the great classic rock bands in history. Think Boston, Journey, Bad Company and others in that style, and then put that fiddle and steel guitar in there where they're supposed to be, and you've got the Dancehall Doctors. A great album, a great singer, a great band. Great Job guys!

Tim has had better albums. Personally I'm not crazy about thuis one. It's my least favorite.

I bought this one mainly because it had "Red Ragtop" and "She's my kind of rain". I hadn't heard of some of the other songs but once I played them, I'm hooked. The whole CD is fabulous. Another great one. How can it not be? It's Tim!

I'm a hugh Tim Mcgraw fan, he didn't let me down with the cd Everywhere!

Tim's great at handling both typical country and country romance. This CD includes such hits as "Where the Green Grass Grows", "It's Your Love", "One of These Days", and "Just to See You Smile".

Though the CD is not marked as any re-release it unfortunately comes without a booklet. The two pages of paper include only the list of songs and musicians. This is sad: I thought only Kenny Chesney likes to fool fans with lyrics-free booklets.

I seem to only review CDs that I believe are deserving of the coveted 5-star Amazon rating. This one, is not only a non-exception, but this one could very well be my favorite CD. Its hard to pick a favorite with Tim putting together so many good albums. Not to mention all the stuff Pearl Jam has released, but thats for different reviews. This disc is a great start to fifnish album. I love those. Lets start at the beginning. Where the Green Grass Grows is a great up-tempo song. It's deffinatly country, but the steel guitar falls a far second to the fiddle. The drumming is mixed more like a rock song, but that just helps push the tempo. The lyrics are great. Talking about getting out of the old town, and away from the city. To live out in the country, where the green grass grows.

For a Little While Is another good up-tempo song. It's a little more rock n roll than the first track. More piano driven, but thie fiddle and steel still own a big part in the song. The lyrics reflect on an old summer love. The kind that you know wont ever come back, but you'll never forget.

It's Your Love is the first Tim and Faith duet on one of Tim's CDs. There is no way that you cant tell these two are in love from the feeling of this great ballad. The organ that permiates the song is that of a 60's rock song, but there's no mistaking the great steel guitar solo in this one.

Aint That the Way That It Always Ends is a very up-tempo rocker about some of the people we meet in our lives that have textbook stories of love gone bad. The way the song is played and sang, it sounds happy, but you cant help but feel a little sorry for the people named within.

I Do But I Dont is a mid-tempo modern country tune about a man who is indecisive about a relationship. This one could be a non-standout track, except for the fact that its the only one like it on the disc. That in itself makes it stand out from the rest in its own way. Great Steel guitar in this one.

One of These Days. This one could be a tear-jerker. This is a soft ballad about a man reflecting on his past, and wanting to take back the bad things he's done. Wanting to be a better person. Realizing finnaly that in order to love others, one must learn to love himself. Beautiful song.

Hard on the Ticker is a honky-tonk style rocker talking about the girl who he might have once though could make him feel younger, but the effects are exactly opposite. Deffinatly a lead guitar and steel guitar driven song.

Everywhere. The album's name-sake for good reason. This song is mid-tempo, sort of Country-Rock. I could hear the Eagles doing this one. Simply about remebering a love that's been lost. Missing her, seeing her everywhere. Instrumentation is top-notch. Tim's Vocals have never owned a song like they do this one.

Just to See You Smile is a mostly acoustic folk - country song about running into the girl that used to love you, and remebering all the things you did for her, and realizing you'd still do them. Just to make her happy. This one was a huge hit for Tim, and once you hear it, you'll understand why.

You Just Get Better All The Time. This one is a very soft ballad. The man here is just proffessing his undying love to the woman he's with. This is one of those songs you could imagine a 70 year old man singing to his wife at their 50th anniversery. It's a very powerful love song.

You Turn Me On is another country rocker about the man who was ready to give up on the whole relationship thing until he met THE woman. He doesnt know what happened, but now all his plans have changed.

Over all, this CD is simply amazing. I've taken many a road trip where I made sure this disc was included in the pile. It's a must.
If you're reading this, you probably know Tim's music... This is no different. If you come into this album expecting to hear the typical great CD by Mr. McGraw, you'll get what you want and more.

Tim is again absolutely fabulous as always. Almost all of these songs were released and played on the radio. There is also a bonus track called "You turn me on". My favorite is "Just to see you smile". You'll be glad you added this one to your collection.

Until "Everywhere", the only CD I could have recommended from McGraw as a solid CD and not just radio hits was his self-titled first, which ironically had no radio hits. However, McGraw bursts onto the scene with this one. From the timeless 'Where the Green Grass Grows' to the fun of 'Hard on the Ticker' and 'You Turn Me On', this is a truly solid CD. I appreciate an artist who can put together a good CD, and from this album on, McGraw does just that. This is a must for any country fan, but especially if you like McGraw.
