I love this man and I also love this CD. The songs are great and the music is so sensual. My husband and I listen to it all the time! A real turn on =)

The first thing I wanna say is that this album is not Confessions. Confessions was a classic and no artist makes a classic record every time out, as a matter of fact I don't know any that make a classic back to back but with that being said, Here I Stand is classic Usher.

The thing people should have figured out about Usher is that most of the times his albums reflect whats going on in his life at the time. With My Way, it was him coming into his own and trying to become a man, with Confessions it was him going through a lot of turmoil and the ups and downs that come with being young, rich, and a sex symbol. Now with his new album, Here I Stand, you hear a much more grown up Usher dealing with all the things that come with being grown up, having kids, a wife, and major responsibility.

With that being said this album is NOT as good as Confessions but it is an excellent album. The first great song is a song called "Trading Places", this is a hot track that has Usher and his lady switching roles where she is doing all the things that normally the man would do like picking him up and taking him to dinner. The song is just a real smooth. Before this you will have heard " Love In This Club" and after "Moving Mountains". The next track that I really like is "Something Special", a song about the great connection that two people have. The song has a very sixties kind of sound to it, something very different and as soon as you hear it you are hooked.

A few tracks later you hear "Best Thing f/ Jay Z", with him and Jigga basically talking about the best things or should I say people in their lives. This is the song they recorded while in the studio in Atlanta that is alluded to in this video on YouTube but you never hear the song. I mean Usher and Hov on a track man I aint even gotta say no more.

Now there is one very Confessions like track on the album that does make you think, hey maybe Usher will be making a Confessions 2 and its called "What's A Man To Do", on this track Usher basically asks the question of what happens when you fall in love with two people but you know that you have to make a choice but you just don't know how. I am definitely sure that a lot of people will relate to that one, especially the fellas.

The album is rounded out with the "Love In This Club Remix f/Beyonce and Lil Weezy" and the title track "Here I Stand". Compared to most everything that is out right now, Ush is killing them. I gotta give "Here I Stand" 4.0 out of 5 stars and that is just because after Confessions he has set the bar so high. In listening to this album you can see that Usher is finally coming into his own both personally and professionally and learning that there are consequences for your actions. Definitely go out and grab this joint.

I'm not a HUGE usher fan like most chic's BUT his last album Confessions was amazing. Now, this album was a HUGE let down and Usher knows it because he is firing most of the people who had a job in his current project. I'm 100% sure that Usher will regain his crown as the King Of R&B, Justin Timberlake's latest produced by Timberlake stomped Usher and exceled on Billboard charts for months.

Theres so many different tracks I love on this album. Song's I didn't really pay attendtion the first time definately stand out now. I won't go to say this is my absolute favorite album from him because he's got so many good albums I like, but he did have some great tracks on this one!

1st off this cd is for the grown and sexy.Usher has Mature into the next level.Everyone has they're own opinion on this album but its nice and laid back of course it's not better than Confessions but itz still a good cd

For some reason, this entire CD has all his greatest hits or maybe this album itself was just da bomb. There are over 20 songs and I will guarantee that you know the words to more than 15 of them. That's really good because most people don't know that many songs on an entire album. Get it. You won't regret it.

Usher really out did himself on this one. Sometimes I wonder if he even knew how big of an album he created. Not since Thriller, has there been a album that combines the popularity & quality that Confessions does. Usher created a modern day classic. And not to take anything away from Usher, because i have always been a big Usher fan, but honestly of all the R&B singers that were out and popular at the time of Confessions, i honestly wouldnt have expected Usher to make an album of this level. This is the type of album you would have expected R. Kelly or Ginuwine to make, because they were both way bigger than Usher at that time. And Usher was still popular back in 1997-late 2003, but he wasn't a worldwide superstar like he is now. And i think that Usher owes everything he is now, to Confessions. Because honestly, if Usher wouldnt have made this classic album, i think he would still be just another R&B singer. Because his three previous albums Usher, My Way, & 8701 were all decent albums that sold pretty well, but they werent anything that caused people to say "Usher is the King of R&B". Well Confessions is the best R&B album of the last 20 years, and alot of superb R&B albums, still arent even close to Confessions. Now, four long years after the Diamond selling classic that is Confessions, we are just starting to get into that "Usher Craze" again because now he is just about to release his follow up to Confessions, Here I Stand, and the anticipation for that album is even higher than that of Confessions. But we are talking about Confessions now, you'll have to wait until May 27th to here my take on Here I Stand, and i will be very critical on that album. But Confessions is a front to back classic. I can honestly listen to every single song on this album without skipping a single one. My all time favorite has always been the bouncy but sexy song "Thats What It's Made For", theres something about this song that every time i hear it, it puts me in a good mood. Another classic song is "Follow Me" which was a great way to close the album. Its a more mid tempo song with blaring horns and synths, its pretty much Ushers song saying "This is my life". It's a great song. Another great song is the more slow song "Truth Hurts" where Usher confronts his girlfriend after suspecting shes been cheating, but in the end he confesses hes the one whos been cheating. And then there is the timeless classic hit singles, "Yeah" which was the party anthem of 2004, "Burn" which was the break up song of 2004, and "Confessions" which was just the song of 2004. I mean, this album really shoke up the music industry after it's release. No one ever thought that any album would even come close to Thrillers record for sales in a week. Most people and critics considered that record untouchable, as did i. But not only did Usher break the record for album sales in a week with Confessions, he shattered the record. And then he added four number one hit singles (Yeah, Burn, Confessions, and Caught Up). And on top of all of that the album is a classic. Usher really showed that he is here to stay, and now hes got the music world in his hands, and with Here I Stand (his follow up album to Confessions) on the edge of being released, dont be surprised if he breaks his own record again, and if that happens... lets just say anyone who was able to say they were alive while Usher was around is a very lucky person because he just might be the greatest overall musician to ever walk the earth. We'll just have to wait and see...

Bonus tracks or without bonus tracks this album was highly overrated in 2004. Now I'm not saying this album is garbage. It's good but it was not worth the excess hype around it. Yeah feat Lil Jon and Ludacris was a great choice for the first single before the radio beat that song into your subconscious. Burn, Confessions and Caught Up are nice follow up singles. Other highlights: Jadakiss shows up on the remix of Throwback. The Robin Thicke-produced Can U Handle It is pretty good. But there are plenty of tracks that scream filler on this album. Tracks like Superstar(the interlude and the song), Truth Hurts, Simple Things, Bad Girl and Follow Me sound like songs that were put on the album to take up space. Take Your Hand and Do It To Me will bore you to tears and That's What It's Made For is instantly laughable. Bonus tracks: My Boo feat Alicia Keys was a nice duet. Red Light is cool but doesnt seem like the type of song you'd listen to outside of the club scene. Seduction is okay but someone needs to tell Usher stick to singing. His rapping is just as bad as R Kelly's. Confessions is a lot better than the original but Confessions Part 2 featuring Kanye West, Shyne and Twista is garbage. Bottom Line: Confessions is an overhyped but good release and the bonus tracks doesnt add much to that fact. Usher is still a good singer but he needs to put more effort into his albums instead of putting effort into a couple of songs and going through the motions on the rest of the album. Standouts: YEAH, THROWBACK, CONFESSIONS, BURN, CAUGHT UP, CAN U HANDLE IT and MY BOO.

I purchased the original confessions, which of course was in heavy rotation on my cd player for 04 & 05. One of the best cds of the year. My original confessions cd became badly damaged and scratched due to playing it so much and so long that I replaced it with this bonus CD.

IT IS A BONUS TO HAVE THE EXTRA TRACKS TO A CD THAT I ALREADY LOVED AND CONFESSIONS REMAINS IN MY TOP 10 FAV ALBUMS OF ALL TIME. bUY THIS CD IF YOU NEED TO REPLACE YOUR OLD ONE.

this has to be my favorite usher album next to confessions. the lyrics, beats and flow all work for me. he's very talented.

This was Usher's strongest album at its time of release. This album had alot of anticipation around it after the original 8701, All About U, got scrapped due to heavy bootlegging. So the attention was definetly on Usher, to see if this album would live up to the hype. And i have mixed feelings about this album. It is definetly a strong album, no doubt about it. With 8701, Usher finally found HIS sound. And that sound lies somewhere between R&B loverman, and dancing Pop star. While i personally like to see the R&B side more, we do get a pretty even distribution of R&B/Pop on this album. Usher has never had the best voice. He has a good voice with unbelievable range. And it really shows on this album alot. And this album did sell better than his last, My Way, because he had the mega hit, "U Remind Me", which was a very unique mid tempo track with soaring strings, but at the same time its a very dancable track as well. And then another chart topper followed right after with the ballad breakup song of 2001, "U Got It Bad", which was an even bigger hit than the first single. And then, "U Don't Have to Call" was another hit, but it do the same damage to the charts that the previous two singles did, which was surprising because of the three singles, "U Don't Have To Call" was the most up tempo party track of them all. But what helps this album the most is its strong album tracks. While there isnt a ton of stellar album matireal, theres enough of it to make this album worth your while. Like the very chill baby maker "Twork It Out", its a super soaker thats for sure. And then the pimps anthem, "If I Want To", where Usher proclaims over this very up beat party track, "if i wanted i could take u from ur man/with my eyes closed/i could have u eating out the palm of my hand/and all ur little girlfriends to"...pretty bold statement, but thats where Usher is so successful. He is cocky, but he has that swagger that attracts people to him, so its ok for him to say things like that because people believe it. So overall, this album is definetly a step up from his last one, nothing groundbreaking, just a real solid album front to back.

Usher went from teen idol to full fledged R&B lover with his 8701 CD. The CD which featured production from The Neptunes, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and JD still gets contasnt play from me. The Neptunes produced a lot of the up-tempo numbers on the CD including I Don't Know & U Don't Have To Call while Jam & Lewis handled the smooth ballads How Do I Say and Can U Help Me which is still one of Usher's strongest vocals ever. If you can find the imported version check out the beatuiful ballad Seperated written by Daron Jones from 112.

Alright, my last review wasn't really that honest. Don't get me wrong...I've always respected Usher as a singer since the release of this album's single "U Remind Me", an infectious R&B/Pop gem with a simplistic beat which Usher's smooth, soulful vocals can easily groove over. Unfortunately, much of this album fails to deliver on Usher's full potential.

If this album were released in 2001, I'd be all over this album, ranting about Usher's immense talent and how he has everything an entertainer needs -strong voice, sex appeal amongst the ladies, "gangsta"-like attitude amongst the fellas- to pull off everything from banging party-starters to smooth ballads to sexy slow jams to achieving a long-time career. However, the year is 2006...my musical tastes have grown with my age, he has released a multi-platinum record ("Confessions" in 2004), multiple producers have raised the bar with one hot beat after another, his competition has grown enormously larger & Christina Milian's 2006 album "So Amazin'" still doesn't sound worn out after months of constant repetition of its addictive jams. With all of this in mind, it is with great displeasure that I deem Usher's multi-platinum "8701" a disappointment.

The album's main flaw lies in its production. Whether it's Jermaine Dupri's unsuitable mix of ranting and heavy guitar riffs on the emotionless "Can't Let U Go" or Diddy's combination of weak guest verses and stale assortments of bass and weak synthesizers on "I Don't Know", too much of the production sounds dated by today's standards. Lyrically, this album's isn't too startling either. While songs like the emotional guitar ballad "U Got It Bad" are enriched with classic lyrics about broken-heartedness and endlessly haunting reminiscence of a past relationship & soulful vocals from one of R&B's ultimate entertainers, there are also songs like "If I Want To" that epitomize Usher's uncharming egocentricity.

Speaking of egocentricity (which, byt the way, is emphasized by the album's cover art), Usher has a serious sex fetish. Unlike almost every Hip-Hop artist, Usher has the voice and the believability to successfully make sensuous slow jams like "Twork It Out" work brilliantly. Unfortunately, there are also songs like the Latin-tinged "How Do I Say", which finds a seemingly thoughtless Usher spellbound and caught up in another woman's beauty, right before progressing through a story more predictable than the sub-standard Hollywood Blockbuster and eventually achieving a one-night stand. Despite being pleasant on the ears, I seriously question whether or not Usher really listens to what he's saying.

Then there's "Good Ol' Ghetto", which really has nothing to do with the ghetto. Instead, it's a song about re-visiting an ex-girlfriend from your youth, but denying her desires for him because he's in love with someone else. As relatable as it is, does it really have anything to do with the ghetto? Essentially, no...it's just another opportunity for Usher to flaunt his sex appeal around moronic female teenyboppers and grown women dumb enough to believe Usher would ever make love to them so casually. Then again, the ghetto is a part of Hip-Hop culture, and seeing the fact that Hip-Hop's becoming increasingly generic due to the male's addiction with sex and misogyny, maybe it does have some relevance (if only a little).

If you can put aside the stale beats, inconsistent lyrics, lack of thought and Usher's sex fetish fetish, there are songs like the infectious "U Don't Have To Call" & "U-Turn", the latter on celebrating party life, reminiscing on good ol' times and introducing a new dance-term/catchphrase ALL at the same time! If you can get past one of the most unoriginal beats of all time, "Pop Ya Collar" with provide some lyrical gold about being yourself and ignoring the haters. It's a good effort overall, but a major disappointment from one of R&B's biggest stars. 3 stars!

I have always liked Usher but it had to take awhile for me to like this CD. At first I wasn't feeling it but after I kept playing it, it actually grew on me. This isn't your typical R&B album. It seems more of a party/have a good time CD. And you can do just that especially with songs such as "I Don't Know", "If I Want to", "I Can't Let U Go", and "U-Turn". Of course they have the signature songs that Usher is known for-(U Remind Me, U Got it Bad, and U Don't Have to Call). U Got it Bad is one of my favorites. That's a song anybody can relate to and the lyrics are awesome. I also liked:

Can U Help Me 4/5 - a very nice slow song done by Usher
How Do I Say 4/5 - this song is sensual and on the romantic side, it can definately put you in the mood

It's no doubt that Usher puts out the HITS. You can listen and have a good time with this CD. This particular album is one of his best besides "Confessions. So if you don't own this one, get it. It might not have that typical R&B sound but it is still enjoyable.

See the biggest thing that kept this album from being something truly speacial, was its shortness. Given it only has 10 tracks, one being a remix of another track on the album, it just didnt leave you with enough matireal to really stick with you. But this album was definetly Ush's coming out party. He had a album before this one, but it went pretty much unnoticed and barely even charted. But with the help of three massive hit singles, the mid tempo dance song, "U make Me Wanna", the baby maker, "Nice & Slow", and the more danceable track and title track "My Way", he had a fan base wait for this album. Now, there are some great songs on this album. But there are also some songs that make me wonder. And when you only have a ten track album, that doesnt leave alot of room for error. One of the few good album tracks is "Bedtime" written and produced by the legend Babyface. Its another slow jam. Speaking of slow jams, "Slow Jam" with Monica, is another stellar track, but this song has more of a... well slow jam feel to it, not so much baby making feel. But where he goes wrong on this album is when he does songs like the attempted street banger "Just Like Me", where you can obviously tell that he was trying to come off as a thug on this song. And on "Comeback", you get teased really bad with the really sweet mellow piano intro, but then when the song starts up, it turns into another thug song. And then, i honestly dont under stand why he put the identical remix to "You Make Me Wanna" on this album. The only difference between the original and the remix is that the remix has a 50 second intro. Otherwise its the exact same song. But, overall this album isnt bad, it just doesnt establish Usher as more than just another R&B singer.

Usher is starting to really establish himself with this disc. You can hear all the elements coming together as he develops into the 'star' who eventurally creates 'BURN' and 'CONFESSIONS'

no matter how old this cd this is....it is still awesome! usher always has awesome dance music and i absolutely love some of the slow songs on this cd!

I initially thought Usher would be another causality in the game of R&B but he came back onto the scene hard with his My Way CD. The lead single U Make Me Wanna didn't really impress me much but his follow up Nice & Slow is the song where I finally gave Mr. Raymond his props. Usher is the strongest at ballads which is ever evident on this CD with Nice & Slow, Bedtime, his cover of Slow Jam and the timely I Will. My Way is the album that pushed Usher to the forefront it severs as his maturity album the same way Don't Be Cruel did for Bobby Brown.

First thing's first, i don't like Usher and I never did. I wouldn't dislike him so much if he wasn't played everywhere and hailed as a god by women everywhere.

However, I do believe that everyone has the freedom to listen to whatever they want. I'm sick of reading reviews saying that this is garbage and then telling people what they "should" listen to. It is obvious that those who listen to Usher have a certain taste in music and your petty little review isn't going to give them a revelation. An Usher fan isn't going to say, "Hmm I thought I loved Usher, but according to this unprofessional review, he sucks. Well I guess I suck. I better go listen to the Beetles or Jimi Hendrix and Metallica (thanks Kramer). These guys don't seem to be part of the genre of music I'm in to but as long as some guy says to listen to it, I'm sold".

Face it, every generation has its own popular music that is despised by its prior generation. Of course, I'm not saying that everyone from my generation likes this music (I've already established that I don't). Also, Usher is R&B, NOT RAP! And he has nothing to do with Eminem. Half of you negative reviewers saying he is rap just revealed how clueless you really are!

I find Usher's voice too high, its freakishly high and it digs up horrible memories of boy bands. Personally, I dislike every song on this album, but on the other hand I don't enjoy R&B. Everyone has different musical tastes. Girls love him and they are really the target audience because they think he's the hottest thing since jalapeno peppers (though I do not recommend basing your musical taste on how the artist looks). Usher is definitely for tweens and popular girls. If you want to give 'Confessions' a negative review, give it a negative review based on what you think of the album, don't diss the entire music industry of this decade based on one man.

If you agree that people have the right to choose what music they listen to, then vote yes. If you're one of those pricks who think that your music is the ONLY music, then vote no, it doesn't bother me, it just helps me to keep track.

My sister gave this to me for my birthday last year and i'm not unhappy that I was exposed to it. Before I got into rap music this was my absolute favourite and to this day I still am a big fan of it. My favourite song has to be Superstar but songs like Confessions, Confessions Part 2, Bad Girl, Yeah!, Simple Things etc are great. Well like I said before now i'm mainly a rap fan but I can't bag this guy for singing in his songs.

If you like R & B than this is a good album for your collection.

Usher has always been my favorite R&B artist because I really believe he produces quality music. Songs such as "U Got It Bad", "My Way", and "U Make Me Wanna" really got me to like his music. I have never owned any of his CDs. So when "Confessions" came out I decided to purchase it. This CD is pretty good. Mostly all the songs have nice beats. When I heard "Burn" on the radio thats when I decided to buy this CD because it sounded really nice. I think the best songs on the album were:
Yeah - clubbanger, real nice beat
Confessions - liked the small interlude that precedes it, nice beat
Burn - real nice slow song
Caught Up - has a nice beat to it
Bad Girl - the beat was off the hook, really nice
Take Your Hand - reminds you a lot of Michael Jackson
Follow Me- this one had a real nice beat

Overall this was a good effort by Usher. Almost all the songs are worth listening to. He has talent but I really don't think he's a great singer. But the way he produces his songs make up for it. Wonder if he'll make another album, but anyways it was a good effort.

Usher has a good voice, I listened to every song on this album, and enjoyed 100% of them. My favorite track on Usher's Confessions album is "Yeah". When I bought it I couldn't stop hearin' it.I Just fall in love with this CD.I love it all the time.

This album is truly the marketer for Usher. I can honestly say that I listened to every song on this album, and enjoyed 98% of them (and this coming from a person who is not an R&B fan). A lot of people may "knock" Usher for his lack of originality in dancing, however the brother has to make a living ya'll. I enjoyed the fact that Usher had variation on this album. It wasn't your typical "bump and grind" track burner. He brought in an array of styles and flavor. Hell, it should be labeled as a classic. Excellent!

"After a four year hiatus, Usher returns with one of the best mainstream R&B CD's of the year. Just as Usher as grown and changed as a man so has his music, which is a great thing in my opinion. Stand out tracks on the CD for me were Love You Gently,Something Special, Prayer For You and the title track. The not so great one for me is Moving Mountians which is one of the worst songs he's ever recorded. My detatiled review can be found below.

1. Intro - This is a basic Usher intro where he sets up the vibe of the album.
2. Love In This Club featuring Young Jeezy - Unless you've been living under a rock you've heard this song.
3. This Ain't Sex - Another one of my personal favorite tracks. Even though it's a throwback to his My Way days, it has a Michael Jackson Rock With You type feel as it's just a feel good track about dancing.
4. Trading Places - (written by The- Dream and produced by Tricky Stewart): A hot slow jam similar to Can You Handle It. This is one of personal favorite tracks as it shows Usher's fully matured tenor.
5. Moving Mountains - The second single still confuses me every time I hear it. The Dream gives me his first disappointment as a writer and Tricky Stewart gives us a mediocre beat. I think this is one of the worst songs Usher has ever recorded.
6. What's Your Name featuring will.i.am - This is an ok track, however it sounds better suited for Craig David. Will I Am gives a catchy beat as always but the vocals aren't really special.
7. Prayer For You Interlude - With the impending birth of my own son, I can really identify with Usher and there's nothing stronger than the bond between a father and son.
8. Something Special - This song reminds of walking in the park with my wife and making our way to a picnic. It has a laid back summer feel to it and reminds of a seventies Stevie Wonder.
9. Love You Gently - Now this is the Usher I like to hear. Love You Gently is easily on par with Nice & Slow, Twork It Out and Can U Handle It as Usher's throwback to Bobby Brown's Roni & Rock Witcha. I can easily see this being his "concert song" when he tours.
10. Best Thing featuring Jay Z - Nothing too special a standard my girl left me track and I want her back. Usher doesn't over sing on this track or under sing and I highly doubt it'll be a single even with the stamp of the Jigga man. It doesn't really go with the Vibe of the new CD and would have fared better on his previous CD.
11. Before I Met You - This is an ok song, nothing to special and Usher kind of under sings it. Basically he's talking about how his life has changed since he met his current girlfriend and he refuses to go back to his old ways.
12. His Mistakes a.k.a. I Can't Win- (Produced by Stargate & written by Ne-Yo) - This can basically be described as Can't Help But Wait Part 2. Usher's strong vocals make the song work; however with the riffs being similar to the Trey Songz hit it's nothing really impressive.
13. Appetite - Appetite is kind if the red headed step child to Before I Met You. Even though he's a happily married man and in love he's still a man who loves the ladies.
14. What's A Man To Do - This song has some truth to it and Usher's vocals make it work since the beat isn't to promising. Usher is one of the few singers who can sing anything and he'll sound good as he does with this song. This is another song that would have gone better on the Confessions CD.
15. Lifetime - Usher's little brother J-Lack continues to show he's a wonder kid when it comes to making beats and this is a nice mid tempo ballad.
16. Love In This Club Part II featuring Beyoncé & Lil Wayne - A great remix tops the original and Love In The Part II does just that. Truth be told Usher should have released this version as the lead single instead.
17. Here I Stand - Just like Can U Help Me, Separated and Burn before it, Here I Stand is Usher's big ballad on the CD. Here I Stand may upset some female fans as it's a testament to his love for his wife but it's one of my favorite songs on the CD and Usher has never sounded so strong vocally.
18. Will Work For Love (Produced by J.R.Rotem) - Usher easily sings this feel good track and while the chorus can get annoying this songs seems better suited for Akon.
Usher recorded upwards of sixty songs for the CD and some of the tracks such as The Realest feat. Jermaine Dupri, Lights Camera Action feat. Nelly, and At The Time featuring T-Pain were cut and remain unheard. However the tracks mentioned below can be found on the web, import versions of the CD and mixtaspes.

CUT TRACKS & Bonus Tracks
Flash - (Produced by The Neptune's) - A horrid sounding track from the once reliable Neptune's which didn't make the album. The Neptune's and Usher had amazing chemistry on his 8701 CD, however they strike out this time.
Echo -This is one of the best tracks from Bryan Michael Cox that was cut. The song reminds me of Alexander O Neal's Hearsay.

Play Me - (Produced by the Avilla Brothers) - This is a winner that won't be on the initial release of the album, however it's rumored to be on the re-release. The Avilla Brothers who produced That's What's It Made For, from the Confessions CD, give Usher another winner in this track. I don't know how it would fare in the states but in the UK (where I used to DJ) I could easily see the Brits liking this track with its techno driven beat.

Dat Girl Right There - (produced by Rich Harrison) - The third time isn't the charm for Luda and Usher on this track. This song seems better suited for Day26 or Omarion as Usher vocals are to strong for this track and Luda's verse is second rate at best. The beat from Rich Harrison is also a huge disappointment as he's known for Go Go styled drum beats.

Just Like Me - Another song that doesn't really go with the grown man vibe Usher was going for on This CD. It's basically talking about how Usher and his girl are both doing dirt and I'm happy it didn't make the final cut.

Forever Young - This is a longer version of the intro.

Revolver - No thoughts really on this song it's just another song.

All in all a fine album and this is easily one of the best mainstream R&B albums along with Mariah Carey's E=MC2 to be released in 2008. Usher has once again claimed his throne as one of the kings of modern R&B and shows he's not ready to give up the throne yet."

i often wonder as to why devante gave this song for usher to sing, it has to be one of the most beautiful songs D ever wrote.... he shoulda kept the song for jodeci, i mean just imagine if jojo sang it?? IT'D BE A KILLA JAM!

What is amazing about this album is it is an all R&B album. Usher's voice on this album is smooth and different from any other album he has. It is an excellent debut album and with music at a stand still it's nice to go back in time.

Usher first burst onto the scene with the song Call Me A Mack from the Poetic Justice soundtrack and his debut solo appeared a year later. Usher was singing with so much soul on this CD,it was kind of a shock when he went pop on his later work. The CD featured the up-tempo hit Think Of You written by Donell Jones and the lead single I'll Make It Right which sampled Audio Two's Top Billin was very catchy and had a new jack feel to it. Usher's strongest work here is the ballads though. He enlisted Devante to produce Can U Get Wit It and Al B. Sure handed Usher one of his songs ever in the form of The Many Ways. Another very strong ballad is Whispers. Usher may not ever return to the soulfulness found on this CD as music has changed but for some classic soul check out this CD.

This is one of my favorite Usher albums. Usher projects a soulful voice that marks an artist well beyond his years. This effort is proof of things to come... for anyone who can remember his "Think of You" video, he was already dancing his butt off, and for those who know "Can You Get Wit it" and " The Many Ways" the path of R&B crooner was laid. This album has great uptempos, but boasts more mid tempos and slow jams than his recent works. Though it lacked the commercial quality of his following albums, USHER is an easy listen and a must have for true Usher fans.

For this being Usher's first album and only being 15 years old this is an impressive debut album. This is another good cd. All of Usher's cd are awesome. A few of my favorites are Can U Get Wit It, Think Of You, and Final Goodbye. Please pick this cd up along with his others!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See the biggest thing that kept this album from being something truly speacial, was its shortness. Given it only has 10 tracks, one being a remix of another track on the album, it just didnt leave you with enough matireal to really stick with you. But this album was definetly Ush's coming out party. He had a album before this one, but it went pretty much unnoticed and barely even charted. But with the help of three massive hit singles, the mid tempo dance song, "U make Me Wanna", the baby maker, "Nice & Slow", and the more danceable track and title track "My Way", he had a fan base wait for this album. Now, there are some great songs on this album. But there are also some songs that make me wonder. And when you only have a ten track album, that doesnt leave alot of room for error. One of the few good album tracks is "Bedtime" written and produced by the legend Babyface. Its another slow jam. Speaking of slow jams, "Slow Jam" with Monica, is another stellar track, but this song has more of a... well slow jam feel to it, not so much baby making feel. But where he goes wrong on this album is when he does songs like the attempted street banger "Just Like Me", where you can obviously tell that he was trying to come off as a thug on this song. And on "Comeback", you get teased really bad with the really sweet mellow piano intro, but then when the song starts up, it turns into another thug song. And then, i honestly dont under stand why he put the identical remix to "You Make Me Wanna" on this album. The only difference between the original and the remix is that the remix has a 50 second intro. Otherwise its the exact same song. But, overall this album isnt bad, it just doesnt establish Usher as more than just another R&B singer.

Usher is starting to really establish himself with this disc. You can hear all the elements coming together as he develops into the 'star' who eventurally creates 'BURN' and 'CONFESSIONS'

Not as good as I remembered it being when I was younger. Probably still the best out of all of his music.

no matter how old this cd this is....it is still awesome! usher always has awesome dance music and i absolutely love some of the slow songs on this cd!

I initially thought Usher would be another causality in the game of R&B but he came back onto the scene hard with his My Way CD. The lead single U Make Me Wanna didn't really impress me much but his follow up Nice & Slow is the song where I finally gave Mr. Raymond his props. Usher is the strongest at ballads which is ever evident on this CD with Nice & Slow, Bedtime, his cover of Slow Jam and the timely I Will. My Way is the album that pushed Usher to the forefront it severs as his maturity album the same way Don't Be Cruel did for Bobby Brown.

...but I'd be wasting what watty420 already wrote. "Yeah" sucks, so does Flusher, er, I mean usher! (lol)

Some of my friends tell me I listen to the wrong stuff, that I should move out of my whole "Another teen supporting classic rock" thing. Maybe that's true. But that doesn't keep Yeah! from being a bad song. And don't think the rest of this is good either.

When I first heard this song, I thought whatever. Kinda forgettable, kinda boring. But then it started turning up everywhere ya looked and that really P'ed my O, if you know what I mean. (If you don't, you should). Yeah! is so boring and just goes on and on and on and has major heart attack factor. On a scale of one to ten, I give it a 0.0000000000001. To all you Usher worshippers, wake up and try 60's rock, 70's rock, Parliament or James Brown. You'd like them a LOT more.

Ima can't do it no mo' Ima can't! I swear I swear. Hear this music and it's all like "yeah", then you think sexy thoughts that is what this song will make you do. It's basically sex... got it?

The unreleased tracks, "Red Light" & "Sweet Lies" are marvolous.
Even though Usher put "Red Light" on his special edition of "Confessions", "Sweet Lies" still remains an exclusive to the states.

Get this, it's a excellent buy!

This song has an excellent beat, with a lot of help from Usher. The music video has wonderful effects. However, the lyrics are bad. Someone shut Lil Jon up. And Ludacris.. he successfully shows how women get ZERO respect.. with the lyrics you actually can understand.

Usher is very talented. His voice is great and he can dance. But having Usher and a good beat won't make this song a huge hit. If you want a song to dance to, this is a great one. Otherwise, don't waste your time.
