Victoria Beckham/Posh Spice was always my favorite member of the Spice Girls. I also thought she was the most attractive out of all of them too! Well it just so happens that her solo debut album is the best solo debut out of all the Spice Girls! I like every song, especially "Not Such An Innocent Girl" and "A Mind of It's Own", both hits in England. The songs on this album are well written and she sounds great! I don't know why a lot of people say she can't sing, I think she has a good voice. I think she deserved more solos when she was with the Spice Girls. So anyway if you're a Spice Girls fan or like Posh you'll like this album like I did. It's definately worth the price!

I first came across Victoria's solo work thru Youtube and I decided to check out some of her tracks. Let me just say that, whoever thought that Victoria couldn't sing and was just the girl in the Spice Girls' that wore short dresses is seriously mistaken. This girl actually has talent and gave a decent vocal range and songs that females could relate to.
Her first two singles "Not Such An Innocent Girl" and "A Mind of Its Own" are very poppy songs with good videos to accompany them. Then there "Like That " where Victoria is telling women not to accept & make excuses for behavior from their no- good men. "I.O.U." is dedicated to David of her professing her love to him. "Girlfriend" is involving Victoria meeting a guy at the club and his woman finding her number in his pocket & telling her to back off of her & handle her man. "Every Part of Me" is dedicated to her son, Brooklyn and how much is existence has changed her for the better. " Whatchu Talkin Bout" is clearly about Geri leaving the group and you finally get to hear how she really felt about her.
While there are many good tracks on the album, there are a few that could've been left off the album like the bland "Unconditional Love" and "No, Trix, No Games" otherwise everything is satisfactory or better.
Spice Girls fans wouldn't be disappointed and pop fans could appreciate it also. And if you get a hold of her other two unreleased albums "OPen YOur Eyes" and "Come Together" you wouldn't be disappointed.

I didn't know that Victoria had recorded solo work. I only recently discovered her music while checking out other music on [...]. I noticed that someone had Victoria Beckham on their playlist. I was trying to figure out why she was on someone playlist so I checked on the song and fell in love with the song. I don't remember the exact song now because I searched IMEEM.com using Victoria's name and found all of these songs which I really, really enjoyed listening to. So I decided to see if I could get at least one of her CD's on [...], which I was able to do. I got the VB CD and I LOVE ALL OF THE SONGS on that CD. Now, I trying to find out how to get the songs "Full Stop," "Gone," "TheHustler," and many more. Believe me, you won't be dissapointed. To be honest I didn't think that Victoria could really sing, but boy was I wrong.

It would be hard to outdo Emma Buntons' epic "Free Me" album. That CD remains to me perhaps the best thing to come out of the entire Spice Girls franchise. I have had Victoria's album in some form or the other for the last four years or so, and have found that despite its' many minor flaws, it is as fresh and listenable as it was all those years ago. Remember that this is a rarity in Britpop, a genre that sound immediately dated once a record is about two months old.

"Not Such an Innocent Girl" was the lead single here, and though it has a fine hook, it is certainly not the best track on the album. Simple choruses and hugely infectious beats are the mainstay of the album, and its fairly obvious that they wanted to mass-market this as much as they could. The album officially flopped in the UK, but I must say that this is certainly better than most of the albums put out by some of the other Spice Girls. For starters, this is better than Geri Halliwells' "Schizophonic", and light years ahead of Melanie B's "Hot".

Personal favorite here is "A Mind of its Own". This is a song that deserved great chart success but is instead relegated to second rung - though I can't imagine why they didn't promote this entire album more aggressively. On tracks such as "No Trix" and "I Wish", its evident that this is an album topped up with potential singles - and the failure of this album will always remain a surprise to me.

Victoria Beckham is not the greatest vocalist. But hey, neither are Madonna or Kylie Minogue. Victoria actually recorded TWO follow-up albums to this - one entitled "Come Together", and the other was "Open My Eyes", but due to some reason or another, both remain unreleased. Pity, because for all her supposed pretentiousness and celebrity allure, the truth is Mrs. Beckham is a solid solo pop star, and if this remains the only album she records, then I'm fine with that, because at least she put out one spectacular record.

Its mighty hard for ANY British female pop star to make a record better than Emma Buntons' "Free Me", but with this album Victoria came pretty close. If you're a pop fan at all, this is essential listening. Try to get it off Amazon's UK Store, as the price there is far more reasonable.

this album was off the hook. a lot more so than her actual album. i mean they're both good, but the vocals and beat of this single is way better.
"let your head go" speaks for itself and that's exactly what you want to do when listening to it.

"this groove" captures everything great about rnb, esp beat and the way she compromises her voice with it, without losing the beckham pop.

No words to describe how amazing this songs are. I listen to them every day, over and over again, just can't get enough. When's her new stuff coming out??, can't wait!.

This CD single is fabulous. You can't deny that these two songs are wonderful. I am amazed that it didn't do better on the charts. Let Your Head Go and This Groove are the highlight of her music career. This Groove has a fanastic beat while Let Your Head Go just makes you wanna get up off your ass and dance! I recommend it to anyone who loves dance music.

When I first heard the two songs, I thought they were amazing. It's a pity that the public doesn't give Victoria a chance. She's just Victoria Beckham, former Spice Girl. The songs are great, which is why they did well on the British charts, peaking at number 3.

I purchased this cd because I am a huge fan of Victoria Beckham. I think she has an amazing voice and she is very talented. "Let Your Head Go/This Groove" are very good songs with amazing singing by Victoria. I think she needs to reconsider a music career and put out another album. Her talent was overlooked when she put out her self-titled cd on the same day as Kylie Minogue. She would have a better chance now because of the Spice Girls reunion. I would definitely buy any music by Victoria Beckham.

Victoria has produced a killer single. How killer? Killer. Not very killer... not semi-killer... just killer.

SONG #1: Let Your Head Go is an awesome track. It's definitely my favorite Victoria track to date (well, there wasn't much competition)... The beat is remix-ish, but not too remix. I love this song to death. GO VICTORIA!

SONG #2: This Groove should not have been released. This single should have just been "Let Your Head Go" with "This Groove" as the semi-okay B-side. Poor showing, Vic. Poor showing.

Overall, this single's good. I just hate 2xA sides...

Victoria returns after a quiet hiatus from the music scene with this now one-off double-a side single, 'Let Your Head Go/This Groove.' This single features two very different tracks - a dancepop song and an urban song.

'Let Your Head Go' is a straightforward dancey song with loads of thumping beats and is pure fun. 'Baby trip on me, one more time, I will make it better,' sings Beckham, her vocals sounding pleasant and working well with the quick dancey beats. The music and the vocals compliment one another perfectly. If anything Victoria succeeds in showing the public that this is the type of music that she excells at and should be doing.

Accompanying the song is a comedic music video where Victoria pokes fun at her stuck-up, Diva image and is by far one of the best music videos to come out of Spiceland. It's funny, it's interesting, and includes lots of references to outside influences. The British culture is seen as she dreams and tries to grab an O.B.E., an award that was given to her husband David. It also contains a nod to the movie Mommy Dearest as Victoria is scene flipping out in her dressing room over a wire hanger.

Alas, it shows us La Beckham does have a personality and can be quite funny.

The second song, 'This Groove,' is a polished urban track and is the fruit of her labor with Roc-A-Fella Records CEO Damon Dash. While 'Let Your Head Go' was fun and poppy, 'This Groove' is more serious and polished. To some people's surprise, Beckham manages to convincingly pull off this urban track. It surely disproves the theory that she can't sing, as her vocals are spot on and she even sings some high notes in the chorus' background. She shows that perhaps her voice has more range than some people thought.

In the end, both tracks are her best work in a while and it'll be up to the listener to find out which track they prefer.

Its official Victoria has announced that she is ending her solo career. After listening to her last single let your head go/this groove I can understand why. Vicki Vicki what were you thinking.She has managed to get even more boring than ever. It is a shame because she can sing but she wont be missed.

"Let Your Head Go" is the best track Victoria Beckham has ever done by a long shot. It's quite good, and her vocals are well done. This could be a dance smash in the U.S. with some marketing behind it. I didn't have much expectation out of this CD, but really did like this track.
"This Groove" is a re-tread of "Don't Disturb This Groove" by the System, a hit in the 80's. It is an interesting track but not especially remarkable.

"Not Such An Innocent Girl" is the debut solo single from Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham. Although Vicky did release a single last year with True Steppers & Dane Bowers entitled "Out Of Your Mind", this is her first true solo outing. Let's take a looky-loo shall we?

1) Album Version - 3:17 - Your standard pop track that could have been sung by any tart of the moment. I believe it's the fact that it's Posh Spice that this song has been trashed by some. This is not a bad song by any means. Nothing that will ever be remembered, but it is a decent enough track. Victoria's vocals have improved alot since her early Spice days, and unlike "Out Of Your Mind" with the True Steppers, the vocals are not run through a vocoder first.

2) In Your Dreams (bonus track) - 3:52 - ZZZZZZZZ. This is the sound of me sleeping as I listen to this droll, boring track. Vicky, you are not a ballad singer. At all. This is pure cheese. And not good cheese. The lyrics are uninspired, which is shocking considering it took SIX people to write it!! Skip this. Skip it.

3) Sunship Mix - 5:17 - Not usually a fan of the two-step frenzy that the UK seems to love at the moment, but this one is a definate exception. The vocals are sped up to match a head-bopping, toe-tapping beat. The song probably would have had higher charting action if this was the original version, rather than the version that's on the LP. This is very good.

4) Robbie Rivera Main Mix - 6:58 - Very rarely does Robbie Rivera disappoint me. His remix for Billie Piper's "Day & Night" was my second favorite track of 2000! Robbie's known for his delicious disco licks, and this one does not disappoint. Again, the vocals are sped up and seem to work well with a dance beat, which will entice club-goers to the dance floor for a few minutes. After about 4 minutes though, the vocals disappear, and it's just listless beats.

5) Robbie Rivera's 3am Dark Mix - 8:11 - This mix must be mistitled. It should've been called Robbie Rivera's 3am Dark Dub. The mix is stripped of vocals and what we have here is a very late night house track. It's a good dub, but fans of Victoria will be disappointed at the lack of vocal.

All in all a decent release. Would've liked to have seen something more along the lines of the True Steppers release, but there's always another single waiting in the wings isn't there?

This song is sexy, and awesome!! her self titled album is even better. all the songs are excellent!!

I've just bought the whole album, and I would have 2 say that it's just as good as the single Not Such an Innocent Girl. Victoria's vocal is good, but she struggles a lot 2 keep it clean and up, But it's worth the money so go out and buy it now.

( It's released in the States and here in Europe ) I don't know if it's released in Japan yet.

I love Victoria. I think She did a great job of defining her self and her style with her album however I wish she would have rocked the World with her 'Girlfriend' song as her second single.
1. A Mind of Its Own-- A Great song. It reminds me of Frank Sinatra. Its one of those songs that at first you dont want to like but you do and then it really grows on you. Very catchy and I love the line "its gonna be my tears you cry"

2. Always be my Baby-- This song sounds like 'Its gonna be Me' from 'nsync. Its not really her style and she did not write it. It also sounds like 'bombastic love' from Britneys latest CD. I thought she had done a remake of a Mariah Carey song but its not.
3. Feels so Good-- Sounds like she wrote this before her morning coffee kicked in....which would be a great time to listen to it. Its dancy and cute but not exactly as profound as the songs that made the CD.

I feel strongly that Girfriend and IOU could have made her CD travel to America. For as good as this song and Innocent girl are they just didnt showcase her Album as one that refuses to bare a clearance price tag or one that would need to get dusted off before taken to the checkout.

"A Mind Of It's Own" is a slighlty surprising choice for a single as it is one of the weaker tracks on her debut album, "Victoria Beckham". It's a mid-tempo track with laid-back spoken verses and a catchy chorus. The non-album b-sides however are the real find here. "Feels So Good" (not the Melanie B track) and "Always Be My Baby" are real pop/r'n'b tracks, which would not be out of place on Victoria's album (which, incidentally, is well worth checking out). They would also sit nicely on albums by some of Victoria's contemporaries, eg Britney Spears or Mandy Moore.

Victoria was the last Spice Girl that tries to be a solo vocalist. This was her first song. And it's really well done. Although the 2-step sound may at first sound strange to the Spice Girls-Fans I'm sure it will grow on them.
It's very nice to dance to it.

Victoria Beckham and Dane Bowers team up with UK Dance Team "Truesteppers" to create an awesome 2-Step, Dance track. Victoria Beckham, you might know as the "Posh" one of the now seperated SPICE Girls, and Dane Bowers has released a few single throughout the UK. The "Truesteppers" are a UK 2-Step dance team and have released a few dance tracks that have topped the Dance Charts.
Anyway, this single, although short, only 3 tracks, does give satisfaction the customer. The remixes are great, giving an edgy 2-Step tune turned into a techno/pop dance track. Although not a club mix, it is playable in a dance club. Beckham gives exceptional vocals teaming with Dane Bowers, and comes off as a "very hidden" talent behind all the SPICE image. She was the one who always looked fabulous and never sung. Well, now she;s on her way with a Top Ten Album in the UK! Here are my reviews of the tracks:

1. Radio Edit - This is the original version a lot of people might have heard. It's very 2-Step meets techno beats in a way. It's very edgy, great vocals by both partners, Beckham & Bowers. This was a Top 5 hit, reaching to No. 2! Victoria Beckham hits thr bulls-eye with a successful solo-attempt, and Bowers gives a great performance. 5/5: A+++

2. 10 Degrees Below Vs. X-Men Vocal Mix - The remix! Yay! This kind of "pops" it up a little bit, but it does keep the original in tact. It's at the same pace of vocals, but is sped up a little. It's more 2-Step than dance or anything other. Still a good remix, not bad! 5/5: A

3. 10 Degrees Below Dub - It's just one side of the Vocal mix dubbed into about a 4 minute mix. It's got no vocals, which I really don't like, so this is kind of a waste of space on a good CD, a club mix, by a good remixer should've taken it's place. 2/5: C

There are some highs on this single, but closes out very badly. The dub is not great, but it's not terrible. The remix version and the Radio Edit are great, but the "Dub" kind of weakens the single. But, Beckham, Bowers & Truesteppers do pull off a great single for hearing pleasure. Worth the wait for Beckham's debut, check out her album "Victoria Beckham"! Very cool! Dane Bowers and Truesteppers are great as well. Very Enjoyable Single! Statistics:

It's quite interesting how truesteppers cut the breaks on this track, and they do it rather fashionably (almost steps into the IDM subgenre of electronic music). However, the only thing I think is a bit overdone is the use of the vocoder and vocal effects. Victoria can sing, and it would be nice to hear her perform a solo without the interference. Although not as seemingly popular as a dance track as Mel C's I turn to you (which is an exceptional tune but was practically played to death on the airwaves), it stands apart from the overflowing amount of commercial dance garbage.
