Bought the CD knowing only one song now I know all the songs on the CD and they are all great!

This album is perfect, from start to finish it will get you amped and keep you amped. Karen O is amazing, she goes from sexy to wild to crazy to psycho back to sexy. I love her I think she may be one of the most exciting vocalists since Kurt Cobain/Jim Morrison. "Rich" is the best song ever to me I love to speed to it on the highway. To go from Pin, to No No No, to Maps really shows the versatility that the YYY'S possess. My only complaint is that they need a new drummer because Brian Chase is all over the place, Meg White definitely has him beat. This is one of my favorite albums of all time and it should'nt be missed, I'm glad I saw it on amazon and decided to try something new. Make sure you get "Show Your Bones" too, it shows that they really progressed and the songs sound more polished. If you want a fun, crazy, wild, loud, great album buy this right now!

What's up with that band name really? Oh well... It's not like YYY's is a band that sounds like they have invented the deep plate. But what they do, they'll do pretty damn good. Each of the band members are gifted, and then I can forgive that they maybe/maybe not carry a "secret member".

A decent album for party, or relaxing or whatever...

that no one seems to take a risk and do something different? Well, this will take that feeling away. This band is absolutely awesome. And for all those people who say this is the "worst album they have ever heard", just look at all the other reviews they've submitted and see the garbage they like.

This is an interesting CD. If you're a fan of the punk genre or are just looking for a new sound -- BUY THIS CD.

The female vocalist has a really intriguing presentation. She growls, howls -- and carries a tune. Some of the songs are very catchy (my favorites are trak 1, maps and y control).

The best aspect of this band is the female singer. She is different (to say the least) and she carries it off so well. I never get tired of her vocals. I'm always interested in female singers that can actually sing and that have a strong presentation and she excels in those areas (in my opinion).

If you like strong female vocalists and engaging punk rock, this CD won't disappoint.

Great album, they really sound like they went in a different direction with this one but stuck to thier roots. With more powerful songs like, Warrior (a personal favorite of mine because it sounds like my life) "Cheated Hearts" but they still kept it fun with songs like "Way Out" my other favorite, "Honeybear", "Phenomena". I think they could've left out "Fancy" Though it was the most boring song on the album, since there is so much intensity coming from the them to slow down like that kinda threw me off. Buy this and support a seriously great up and coming band, they deserve it.

This is my first YYY album and I love it!!!! Kinda indie rock meets old garage punk and even some 70's glam. The girl who sings sounds so cool that she could ice the sidewalk with her breath. Great rock n' roll!!!

I own all of the Yeah Yeah Yeah albums and this one is by far the best! Each song has it's own feel and melody. They are original, rockin', fun to listen to, and I would suggest this album to anyone.

This is an awesome cd, and I'm not going to bore you with a long review of how the first sound of the chord of the beat shifts and roars throughout the damn cd, just pick it up and listen to it. It's packed. I like it more than "Fever To Tell" But, you be the judge!

I've heard a couple of Yeah Yeah Yeahs' songs on the radio (Sirius) and decided to try an entire album. It was a great decision.

Lots of bands have trouble putting together 10 or 15 good songs and paying $20 for an album with one or two hits makes me cringe so I was very glad when I found myself replaying this one a few times. I found some great new songs that I hadn't heard before like Way Out and Turn Into, and I loved hearing my initial favorites, Phenomena, Gold Lion, and Cheated Hearts. The bonus track on this import version, Deja Vu, is decent but probably not worth the extra $10 for most people.

For those new to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs you can expect a fairly eclectic mix of vocal and guitar rock with a decent amount of production/electronic sound. Karen O's unusual voice hits some terrific notes and tones that really call out the emotion in the lyrics. Almost every song has a few good rythms and tonal changes that work well to focus your attention. The melody of Cheated Hearts is one of my favorites and really sounds great to me no matter how many times I hear it.

Definitely expect that raw, garage rock feeling with Karen's voice occasionally hitting a raw note. This is not Norah Jones' style :-).

Overall, great album and a must buy for any fan of modern indie rock.

Electro-rock at it's finest. Does it Offend You has talent, and is not what you might assume another Klaxons type hype-rider. Every track is well thought out and enjoyable.

Quality, quirky, fun, dancey music. The whole CD is worthy listening straight through, and the variety makes it easy to enjoy. Along the lines of The Faint, MGMT, The Rapture, etc. The sound quality is pretty amazing, and remember, play it loud.

I think all in all its a really good album, foor a bunch of Canadians..haha. If your even remotely interested in this band then you will defintiely appreciate the content. Also, if you have the chance....se them live, they blew me away and stole the show in my opinion at a recent music festival.

This new band 'Does it Offend You Yeah?' is one awesome addition to the DANCE INDUSTRIAL / ELECTRO PUNK / 80's REVIVAL scene. Their debut album "You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into" is probably one of the best all around albums I have heard in a very long time. The variety of styles they use from straight up dance industrial instrumentals like the first track "Battle Royale" to the electro punk sounds of "Let's Make Out" are phenomenal. If you like the dance sounds of 80's music, they also have several songs on the album that would have been major hits back in that era. For short, if you like good hard dance music, GET THIS ALBUM!

Battle royale, acaba de empezar y la verdad no entiendes lo que pasa hay mucho procesador, mucho Daft Punk. En With a heavy heart se ponen groseros, sacan su cara atrevida y avanzan a We are rockstars que es el sencillo y la verdad es muy fácil de escuchar, buena elección. Dawn of the dead tiene un acercamiento al pop, es mi parte favorita del disco, y... ¿es calypso lo que se escucha en el fondo? Doomed now esta inundada de vocoders y un ritmo basado en los contras del platillo que es la fórmula ya por todos conocida que obliga a saltar. El Attack of the 60 ft lesbian octopus es mas velocidad, mas histeria y de verdad puedes casi imaginarlo. Let's make out. una historia de acariciar a tu pareja por debajo de la mesa, no les importa lo que pienses... a moverse! Being bad feels pretty good esta encaminada por el trazo de The Killers, The Bravery y hasta Modest Mouse, le bajan dos rayitas al volumen y demuestran que también pueden hacer letras que tengan sentido. Weird science es una piecita instrumental que tiene madera de sencillo (¿cómo logran ésto?), luciendo todos los dedos en el sampler. Para el final, en Epic last song esperaba que terminaran con ruido, con velocidad, con vómito, pero sacan un guantecito de algodón y con el dorso me abofetean, la explosión la guardan para la presentación en vivo.

La crítica especializada los ubicó en el género del New Rave, justo atrás de los Klaxons y de la mano de Management, pero a mi estos 38.5 minutos me hicieron sentir "chavo" y me dejaron en la boca un muy buen sabor a punk.

The latest release from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs is a mere five song E.P. that is somewhat reminiscent of their pre-Fever to Tell output. If while listening to Is Is you get the feeling that these songs sound like natural descendants to the YYYs early releases, like their self-titled debut and Machine, there's a good reason for such suspicions: these songs were actually written around the same time as those early E.P.s. For their latest release the YYYs grabbed a bunch of older songs and re-recorded them. Unlike the rest of us, when the Yeah Yeah Yeahs look under their couch cushions instead of finding loose change they just happen to find a handful of unused songs.

Working against their more recent, more polished work, the latest YYYs release feels as if the whole affair was bound together by a bunch of rusty bolts. While the songs have more of an edge than the YYYs' indie-pop numbers, they're hardly a retread of their early days. The stuttering pace of "Rockers to Swallow" sounds as if the drums and guitar would collapse if Karen O's snarl didn't whip them along all the way to the finish line. There's a sense of space that wasn't present in YYYs' early fits of noise, which makes it even more important for the trio to play off one another. For his part, Brian Chase takes an opportunity for more complexity and drum fills, Nick Zinner expands his oeuvre with some psychadelia on "Isis," and while avoiding any conventional melodies, Karen O showcases her strengths as a front woman. Is Is sounds like a sort of missing link between the YYYs' early songs and their first album.

Considering that these songs were written long before this E.P. was recorded, I don't think the YYYs are necessarily hinting at a new direction. From "Art Star" to "Cheated Hearts" the YYYs have already proven they shriek as well as they can sing, but it is comforting to know that they haven't completely given up on shrieking. Here's hoping that instead of plotting their songs along a pop/noise spectrum they realize there doesn't have to be much of a difference between the two.

This EP from Yeah Yeah Yeahs is a bit harder than their Show Your Bones album. I prefer their edgier rock sound in this album but these songs easily fit into the rest of their collection. If you like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, I'd recommend adding these 5 songs to your collection.

Nothing on this EP indicates the recording dates, but "Is Is" sounds like prime YYYs. Definitely a return to the ferocious energy of "Fever To Tell" & the Touch & GO EP "Master." Very encouraging after the smoothed out, low voltage sophomore slump "Show Your Bones."

Imagine your five favorite songs from Fever To Tell and Show Your Bones. Imagine you'd never heard them before. Imagine they were on this CD. Now buy it.

It takes a lot of talent to play good songs this loudly and with this much conviction. Best release of 2007.

I love this album and have probably listened to it 100 times in the first month I have owned it. It has catchy hooks and spacey and intelligent lyrics. Very original sound. I don't see them trying to sound like the Talking Heads. Yes, the lead singer does sound like David Byrne, but that is as far as that goes. I can honestly say that I love all of the songs on this album and went out and got their next album as soon as I could.

Okay. You've got complaints, innuendos and charges of blatant rip-offs all over the place. Both Paul Banks (Interpol) and Tom Smith (Editors) are Ian Curtis (Joy Division) wannabes; there were those who purported that Curtis himself was aping Jim Morrison (The Doors). Michel Sordinia (The Names) was copying Robert Smith (The Cure). And, lest we forget, Julian Lennon (Julian Lennon) was a dead ringer for John Lennon (The Beatles). And what about the Dominique Durand (Ivy) and Karen Carpenter (The Carpenters) connection? Yes. Anyway, there are those who would accuse Alec Ounsworth (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah) of ripping off David Byrne (The Talking Heads). Heck, for all I know, he really is! For all I know (or care), Jim Morrison (The Doors) is alive and well in Paris [the city, not Bob Welch's (Fleetwood Mac, and also solo) band]! But I don't think the Heads (the Talking ones) ever released anything as instantly fetching as "Upon This Tidal Wave Of Young Blood," just to name one example, or even (to name a second) "Blue Turning Gray," a ridiculously brief instrumental. On the other hand, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah will probably never release anything close to "The Great Curve." I could be wrong. They have a song called "Heavy Metal" here, and you should hear it.

When I first heard these guys in a friend's car a couple of years ago, my reaction was your usual "I like their sound, but I just can't get past those vocals." For some reason, when I checked the album out about a year later, I completely fell in love with it. I didn't even have to "try" to like them as you may with some bands; something just clicked, and I found myself loving even the vocals. Every song on this album deserves five stars. If you take the time to really check this album out, you'll discover that these songs are extremely catchy and maintain their cleverness even after repeated listening. This band has a fairly unique style, even without their signature vocalist, and the fact that this was not only their debut album, but was completely self-produced puts any derivative major-label act (and many indie bands) to shame.

i had heard about this band from....i don't know where really. bought the CD and dang it, i want my money back! like another reviewer mentioned, all the elements are there: great music, great name, the "oh-so-cool" indie genre...but the singer. he just ruins it for me. i love the music itself, but just when i'm enjoying the music, alec ounsworth opens his mouth and i'm instantly turned off. i don't usually write reviews of music because it's so subjective, but dammit, this guy pisses me off! i know he's actually wanting to sound like that, but his voice ruins what would have otherwise been an awesome band. i vote thumbs down.

This album is okay. Nothing too special. The singer sometimes sounds like David Byrnes, which is a good thing, but he is also other times very winey. Overall, this band is nothing special - a product of it's time, and I don't want to buy more albums by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah based on this album.

This album was a huge disappointment. I loved their previous album. I suppose that gave me fairly high expectations for this one. But, even independent of that, this album is not very good. So much potential was wasted, I'm afraid to say. *sigh*

By the way, what is with the first song being entirely distorted? I mean, I'm understanding of exploring creativity, but that just not enjoyable.

The best way I can describe Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is simply this:

The lead singer from Radiohead got kicked in the nads.

Overall, this album is fairly entertaining, although I am not sure why the hell anyone thought that having that kind of singer was a good idea.

CYHSY has a pretty nice little buildup in there songs, and Satan says Dance is a pretty addicting. Overall, this is an OK album, not worth "buying new" exactly, but as a Used and New dealio.

Clap Your Hands Say Yea was THE indie-band that everyone talked about, seemingly coming out of nowhere with their 2005 self-titled album that sold a bunch, while riding the wave of the internet buzz. It's a pretty good album, but the real question was how their next release would stack up, now that CYHSY is no longer a secret or internet-novelty.

"Some Loud Thunder" (11 tracks; 47 min.) starts off with the insufferable, off-putting and almost unlistenable title track, due to its contracted/distorted production. I can imagine a lot of people would give up on this album right then and there, as I almost did. But a funny thing happens if you soldier on: the album begins to build up after that, starting with "Bailey Jean Steak". The album really takes off on the second half after the short instrumental "Upon Encountering". Starting with the mesmerizing "Goodbye to Mother and the Cove", it all starts clicking, and the rest of the way is simply fantastic, with other standouts like the slow-burner (and best track of the album) "Yankee Go Home", followed by the equally outstanding 2 closing tacks "Underwater (You and Me)" and "Five Easy Pieces".

In all, this album really grew on me, even though I admit to skipping/forwarding several of the tracks on the first half when I play this. I've had the chance to see CYHSY several times in concert, most recently at the Monolith Festival at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre near Denver last September, where they played a lot of these tracks, and frankly it sounded better live than on the CD. Meanwhile, "Some Great Thunder" offer fine, even enthralling, moments despite being uneven.

I had heard this was not nearly as good as their first before I bought it, so I already had a negative view before I ever listened to it. Then I listened to it and did not like it. Why? Because I wanted it to be a continuation of their first album. I wanted it to be poppy and upbeat, it wasn't. Then I took some time to just sit down and listen to the album and enjoy it for itself, not in comparison to the first. Now I cannot stop listening to this album. The last two tracks are as hypnotic as you can get, very Yo La Tengo sounding. Someone on here called it a "sonic haze," that is an excellent analogy. I would call it "psychedelic nihilism." The album is not playing for any radio singles, it is not trying to be the first album, it is just putting some very strange and hypnotic melodies out there and saying "do what you will with it." I will continue to listen to them.

Still possible for perseverance. Nearly as interesting and important: the juxtaposition of sound. Passion reveals power as a means of artistic expression: revelation, celebration, a new favorite.

Question a quiet phenomenon. Offer an addictive, shimmering and, crucially, precious and soulful counterpoint to the riot. Fantastic sounds like what was: self and self-released. Let them entertain. Clap along.

There, point in this place, in hearts of everywhere. The effect of The Good: chops this minor: success and hope for dropped jaws, then acquires the resources to properly introduce the world to all the essential elements of greatness in some small form or other.

Time is now, surpass any hideous h-word connotations (e.g., hours or then). This will send you into a loop of eternal return.

10 minutes of music for 10 bucks. It's not even worth that. This is one of those CDs I break into bits after flipping through the tracks. It's put out by jerks who take personal counsel with the devil. It's amazing what people think of as exciting and `fun.' Karen O needs help. Her soulless counterparts can rot in hell for all I care.

this is a great EP. very raw and primal but still shows great skills in writing in this genre, as the garage rock genre is very riff based. i would give it a 5 out of 5 but i think the EP lacks consistancy and flow, as it starts off very rock and roll, then goes heavy, then finishes with almost a ballad. definately a well thought out EP.

I think this EP has a lot of character. Normally I would only give something like this 3 stars because the musicianship isn't very mature or individualistic, but I give this an extra star for personality and interesting production value. Sounds a lot like the White Stripes, but less provincial and more worldly. I suppose that's the New Yorker element.

i cannot believe so many people are ripping on the yeahyeahyeahs. i have to conclude that they have bad taste. VERY bad taste. either that, or they're the type of people who have to gripe about something just because it's popular.
but i digress. karen o. gives me hope for the future of music. i actually prefer this ep to their full-length release: songs like "maps" and "modern romance" seem a little schmaltzy to me. as always, karen o's howling, moaning, and screaming as if she's in the midst of the most fantastic orgasm of her life is a delight to listen to. the album literally starts with a "bang," then progresses on into the surf rock riffs of "mystery girl." "art star," perhaps my favorite track, is a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the pretentious participants of the art world that starts off monotone and ends in throat-wrenching screams.
so, while i agree that in many ways, this band brings nothing new to the table in terms of indy and alternative music, it definitely holds up a fine tradition of hard-rocking bands (like siouxsie and the banshees, as another reviewer pointed out.) with so much pop crap out there, it's nice to know that some bands can still rock out.

First there was "Anarchy in The UK," then there was "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and now there is "Machine." Many of today's bands have questioned the album format. Most of it is downloaded on the internet anyway. People like me who are into The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, know that any release is just a signpost on the road of a fabulous legend. Karen O is the most famous person in music right now. She can almost compete with W. I. T. with magazine cover to music release ratio. Who cares? This seven minute sonic assault is a fun ride. Most people thought that they would explode after one EP, but the song "Machine" proves that this Williamsburg hype and pot smoke must not be taken lightly. I don't just like this music because I can sit in the L Cafe with Nick Zinner and be a snob. "Graveyard" is a truly great rock song too. I am a believer. Take a deep breath.

I'd like to appologize for knocking the group The Kills on my last review I wrote about the Yeah,Yeah,Yeahs,and their Yeah,Yeah,Yeah EP,so just consider that a type-O,or something.Because their actually a really good band.As a matter of fact,if you love this band,you should also really like The Kills.I don't appologize however,for knocking the other band's.In my opinion they're as generic,and lame as the day is long.Now this band on the other hand is totally amazing,just because of the fact you can't really pigeon hole them as any particular sound.Unlike the White Stripes that sound like the 80's,and that Oingo Boingo,Duran Duran,stuff that I personally can't stand!Or Green Day,and the Clash sounding nightmare,in which has many kiddie follower's,band wise,and otherwise.Yet with the Yeah,Yeah,Yeahs,you can just take them for what you hear them as.If you like Punk Rock,there's a bit of that sound in there.Although I thank my lucky star's a small amount,because if it sounded any more punk I would of had to break this album.Only because I hate Punk Rock!Now that's just my personal opinion,and I'm entitled that,but my point is,this band is kind of like a swiss army knife,which means you can take it for whatever sound you want,and say to yourself,yep,that's why I like this band.Personally I can't see how someone could dislike this band.They've got a great singer,to say the least,a super creative song structure,spunk,energy,attitude without being to harsh,but tough enough to not be considered bubble gum rock.

Now to me that is an amazing style,that's totally hard to maintain,and is also totally mixed.I personally like them for their kind of loungy yet hyper sound.And coupled also with Karens energetic,carefree vocal stylings.It's almost as if she could sing no wrong.The way she manages to sing those off the wall leric's,that only she can pull off.If I'd of heard some typical raspy throated Punk Rocker girl,sing her stuff.It would of came across as way harsher than I'd of liked.Plus it would of sounded terrible to me.The only downside to this album,and all their album's in general,is,it's much easier for a girl to listen to this stuff then a guy.And I should know,because I'm a guy,and she sing's about men a little to much.Like the song MAN on the Fever to Tell album,now by myself,when I'm listening in my room or something it's great to know she likes guy's,heck that's one of the reasons I like her as a singer,but I don't like to hear about men,I like to hear about women.Because I can identify with liking women.So if they could just leave some of that stuff out a bit,that would be great.And the other complaint,I don't really have,but I hear alot,is that the back ground music's to simplistic.Oh Jeez,I listen to plenty of really technical sounding band's,and most of thoughs are quite over rated anyways,like Dream theater,and Symphony X,and my thought is,heck that's why this music even work's in the first place.Why?you ask,because it's simple.It's their hole style in general,it's not that this group can't play that good,it's just that the style that they're playing demand's a restraint on talent.It's to let the vocals shine through a lot more than the music,and force you to pay more attention to the leric's.Which in my opininion couldn't be better.So buy this album,it may be only a single,but I just can't seem to give this band enough praise...

I can't say I LOVE the Yeah Yeah Yeah's, but they're better than anything I've heard in a long time. I loved Karen O's voice: part sarcastic Kathleen Hanna shriek and part Mark Arm raw sexuality. Machine has a sort of choppy melody that I really liked. I have to agree with other reviewers that Graveyard was somewhat sloppy and generic, but I have a feeling that had to do with lousy production. Pin was like painfully bad No Wave. I'll forgive that those songs missed their mark, because I like their spirit (god, I sound like an old lady). Anyway, ciao.

Three songs otherwise unavailable on whatever else is out by them (which is just the EP really). So if you like the YYYs you'll like this. Machine is cool, Graveyard is awesome, and the Pin remix is cool, but not outstanding. Too bad this isn't a bit less expensive.

After hearing "Machine" on the radio, I was interested enough to lay down some cash for one of their EPs. I ended up with the Machine EP simply because they wanted $15 bucks for the self-titled EP which really didn't make a difference; I wanted to hear "Machine" again. Once I got this cd out of the wrapper and eagerly popped it in my cd player, I sat down ready to enjoy what I hoped would be a great cd.

Sounding more like a mish-mash of distortion and an attempt at melody then an indie rock gem, it was a painful couple of minutes that just seemed to drag. At this point I had laid all my hope into the last song..and my hope was lost. A quiet, spacey sounding song..it sounded more like the band was asleep at their instruments than anything else. The first track is absolutely amazing, in my opinion, but the other two aren't nearly as good and are(luckily) easily forgotten. I haven't heard the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' first EP so I have no comparison but I can only hope that their full-length won't be as bad as more than half of this release.

I found some great new songs that I hadn't heard before like Way Out and Turn Into, and I loved hearing my initial favorites, Phenomena, Gold Lion, and Cheated Hearts. The bonus track on this import version, Deja Vu, is decent but probably not worth the extra $10 for most people.

For those new to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs you can expect a fairly eclectic mix of vocal and guitar rock with a decent amount of production/electronic sound. Karen O's unusual voice hits some terrific notes and tones that really call out the emotion in the lyrics. Almost every song has a few good rythms and tonal changes that work well to focus your attention. The melody of Cheated Hearts is one of my favorites and really sounds great to me no matter how many times I hear it.

Definitely expect that raw, garage rock feeling with Karen's voice occasionally hitting a raw note. This is not Norah Jones' style :-).

Overall, great album and a must buy for any fan of modern indie rock.

Electro-rock at it's finest. Does it Offend You has talent, and is not what you might assume another Klaxons type hype-rider. Every track is well thought out and enjoyable.

Quality, quirky, fun, dancey music. The whole CD is worthy listening straight through, and the variety makes it easy to enjoy. Along the lines of The Faint, MGMT, The Rapture, etc. The sound quality is pretty amazing, and remember, play it loud.

I think all in all its a really good album, foor a bunch of Canadians..haha. If your even remotely interested in this band then you will defintiely appreciate the content. Also, if you have the chance....se them live, they blew me away and stole the show in my opinion at a recent music festival.

This new band 'Does it Offend You Yeah?' is one awesome addition to the DANCE INDUSTRIAL / ELECTRO PUNK / 80's REVIVAL scene. Their debut album "You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into" is probably one of the best all around albums I have heard in a very long time. The variety of styles they use from straight up dance industrial instrumentals like the first track "Battle Royale" to the electro punk sounds of "Let's Make Out" are phenomenal. If you like the dance sounds of 80's music, they also have several songs on the album that would have been major hits back in that era. For short, if you like good hard dance music, GET THIS ALBUM!

Son totalmente congruentes con su portada, es asqueroso, es intrépido, es como para ir en una camioneta y arrojar huevos a la casa del que te cae mal, para tirarte un clavado sin haber medido la profundidad del agua, es volver a agarrarte a golpes por una exnovia, es reunirte con tus amigos a grabar un jackass amateur, es arruinar XV años, tomar desmedidamente y fumar como desesperado.

Es su disco debut, se llama You have no idea what you're getting yourself into (Virgin Records/Almost Gold, 2008) y aquí les pongo el "track x track".

Battle royale, acaba de empezar y la verdad no entiendes lo que pasa hay mucho procesador, mucho Daft Punk. En With a heavy heart se ponen groseros, sacan su cara atrevida y avanzan a We are rockstars que es el sencillo y la verdad es muy fácil de escuchar, buena elección. Dawn of the dead tiene un acercamiento al pop, es mi parte favorita del disco, y... ¿es calypso lo que se escucha en el fondo? Doomed now esta inundada de vocoders y un ritmo basado en los contras del platillo que es la fórmula ya por todos conocida que obliga a saltar. El Attack of the 60 ft lesbian octopus es mas velocidad, mas histeria y de verdad puedes casi imaginarlo. Let's make out. una historia de acariciar a tu pareja por debajo de la mesa, no les importa lo que pienses... a moverse! Being bad feels pretty good esta encaminada por el trazo de The Killers, The Bravery y hasta Modest Mouse, le bajan dos rayitas al volumen y demuestran que también pueden hacer letras que tengan sentido. Weird science es una piecita instrumental que tiene madera de sencillo (¿cómo logran ésto?), luciendo todos los dedos en el sampler. Para el final, en Epic last song esperaba que terminaran con ruido, con velocidad, con vómito, pero sacan un guantecito de algodón y con el dorso me abofetean, la explosión la guardan para la presentación en vivo.

La crítica especializada los ubicó en el género del New Rave, justo atrás de los Klaxons y de la mano de Management, pero a mi estos 38.5 minutos me hicieron sentir "chavo" y me dejaron en la boca un muy buen sabor a punk.
