BjörkThe Icelandic star will return to Israel on July 31 to perform in Tel Aviv or Ramat Gan. Björk will perform a one time gig in the centre of Israel. It has been twelve years since the Icelandic singer last performed in Israel.

Björk’s representatives have reached an agreement with Shuki Weiss, an Israeli producer. The location for the concert is yet to be confirmed.

The Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Park and the Ramat Gan Stadium are two potential candidates to host the Israeli leg of Björk’s world tour following the release of “Volta“, Björk’s latest album.

“Volta” is composed by a mixture of melodic sounds, accompanied by a larger band and a choir of Icelandic girls. This album has reached the top 10 best selling albums in the US. Björk said:

I feel “Volta” live is much better than the album, so “Volta” the album is almost like the rehearsal before the tour. The tour is where it all comes alive.

“Volta” world tour is being extremely successful and expected to last about 18 months. One euro of each ticket sold will be donated to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
